Chapter 1077: The Three-headed Dog is Weak
Soon, we will reach the top of the pyramid. And there’s a three-headed dog there protecting a treasure chest.
"Is this the end of the dungeon?" Candy asked.
"This is the top. We haven’t gone to the bottom yet," I said.
"Then I’m done after this. For the underground part, you can ask someone else. I don’t think there’s a need for me to test the effect of this dress anymore," she said.
She’s right. We learned a lot. Though I like the gloves more than the dress.
The gloves are amazing. They can enhance the effect of other magic item.
Though what will the effect be if someone wore the gloves and the fishnet stocking that blocks fire at the same time? I don’t think there will be any difference. Just the stocking alone is already a great piece of equipment. Not the design though. Well, the design is good when the stocking is worn by a girl. Not me.
I also tried the effect of those gloves on my magic armor. I didn’t see any difference at first. But when I tested it, the armor I wore becomes stronger even when I didn’t use Aura.
That magic armor is something great. Because it helped me with covering my appearance. And it’s easy to use.
On its normal form, it’s just a bracelet on my wrist. Then when I activated it, it became a full armor that covers my entire body. But I still find it easy to move around with it. The flexibility of that armor is good for me to move around however I like.
The armor can still be destroyed. But after some time, the destroyed part will be repaired and the armor returned to its normal form.
When I wore the gloves, the defense of the armor became stronger. And the reparation after I broke some parts of the armor became faster as well. Other than that, there’s no effect I can see.
I tried using the gloves and my Aura weapon as well. The cane that can create barrier when I use it to draw circle on the ground.
But it didn’t have any effect. Maybe because the gloves are only effective to magic items and not Aura items.
It’s a shame that the effect couldn’t be enhanced. But at least the gloves are still useful for other items.
Then after testing everything, we continued the dungeon exploration. Candy decided where to go and I only told her when she missed some place or when she couldn’t detect a trap. How come she could find a trap without Divine Vision? I guess she’s just that good.
And although we found a path leading downstairs, we continued going upstairs until we reached the peak. And there, we found a three-headed dog guarding a treasure chest.
"Do you think that the item in the treasure chest will be something great?" Victoria asked.
"Why? Because it’s being protected? Isn’t that the same with other treasure chests?" I asked back.
"Yeah. But there’s a Cerberus here guarding the chest this time. In my world, they’re a mythical beast that is very strong. So maybe this one is guarding a really amazing treasure," Victoria said.
Cerberus? Why is the fantasy in her previous world a reality in our world? Either it’s because someone created this world by using the fantasy from her world, or someone created fantasy stories based on things in this world.
Well, it doesn’t matter anyway. It’s too annoying to think.
Victoria was excited to see another fantasy creature in front of her. But she was disappointed after she saw the monster was easily defeated by Candy. What does she expect? She’s a master level mage.
When Candy approached the Cerberus, one of the three heads shot fire breath at her. But it’s fire. And she’s a master level fire mage. Her fire resistance is already much higher than most people. I think only Julia, old man Henry’s daughter, who has stronger fire than her right now.
Candy didn’t bother to dodge. She let the fire hit her. But not even the Blobbycoat she wore is burned. There’s no damage at all.
But when she shot Fire Arrow at the Cerberus, the Cerberus got hit and burned. Though I have to say that the Cerberus has a great defense. It took Candy several more attacks to finally kill the Cerberus.
Other than its defense, the rest is not as amazing as Victoria expected. That’s why she was disappointed.
"Well, it was not as strong as you expected. Or maybe Candy was just too strong. Anyway, don’t expect too much on the treasure chest as well. It might just be some jewelry like the others we got before," I said.
We found a few treasure chests. And all of them are filled with jewelries
Even though Candy doesn’t really wear any, she looked excited when she found them. The same goes with Victoria. And I know that they collected some in their own rooms at home and only wear them when we’re on dates.
"You already seen them with your Divine Vision," Victoria said.
"Well, they might look like jewelries or accessories. But who knows if some of them are magic items, right? Maybe you can look better while fighting in the future if we have magic items like that," I said.
As we chat, Candy still didn’t move at all from her spot. Looking at the dead body of the Cerberus.
"Candy, what’s wrong?" I asked.
"This is the first monster in this dungeon that is not a zombie. I thought that this three-headed dog was a zombie. But it’s not. So I got curious," she said.
She’s right. I didn’t think about that at all.
All the monsters we encountered in this dungeon are all zombies. But only this dog is not.
"Well, maybe there are other types of monsters when we go down next time," I said.
I didn’t even bother thinking about it after a few seconds. It’s too annoying to think of things that don’t matter. And Candy is smart. So maybe she will find about something first. If not, then that’s it. There’s no need to ponder about a dungeon when our real goal is still the Evil God and his believer.
Candy then opened the treasure chest and finds another piece of jewelries. It’s something like a brooch that can be attached to someone’s clothes.
"I think we should get all the items we got to be appraised when we return. Just in case there are magic items among them," Candy said.
"Aren’t we going to return now?" I asked.
"Have we discovered all the rooms to here? I don’t want to miss anything," she asked.
"Well, there are several empty rooms or just rooms with monsters. Do you want to go there?" I asked.
"Yeah. Let’s do it. As for the rest, maybe you can ask another person to explore there tomorrow. Maybe two. Down there, it’s much bigger than going up, right?" Candy asked.
"I think so. You don’t want to go again?" I asked.
"I have something to do tomorrow. As for this dress, we have learned enough. I’ll keep it safe until there’s another war or when Angela returns."
And so, we continued exploring until Candy has entered every single room and checked every corner in this dungeon.
I think Candy found something. But I guess they’re not worth mentioning.
After that, we returned to Cassau. Then I called the appraiser again and give them all the items we got today.
"There’s so many! I think it will take a while to do it," Jeremy said.
"No problem. It’s not like they’re important. Just appraise them when you have the time," I said.
We actually found fewer treasure chests than from the dungeon in the cave near the beach before. But because they’re just small jewelries, one treasure chest can store many of them. That’s why we got a lot.
"Oh, and about this dress. I have a question. If we do something to this dress, to cover the revealing area, will the effect still be there?" I asked.
"I think it should be fine as long as you don’t destroy the original design. Make sure that you don’t do anything to the original design. Then you can alter it however you like," Jeremy said.
Nice! With this, we can give someone the gloves and Candy or maybe Angela can keep the dress. Or maybe someone else since it will be less revealing.
"I’ll take the dress then. Roy, I’m going to the store and discuss it with the others. I’ll make sure that anyone who wears it will look good and won’t feel that the dress is too revealing anymore," Victoria said.
She asked Candy to quickly get changed. Then after that, she grabbed that dress and run to the store. She will design the dress there with the others.
I also have no plan on going somewhere after this. I’ll only get back to the dungeon tomorrow. Maybe I’ll just ask if there’s anyone who wants to come with me tomorrow to the bottom part of the pyramid dungeon tonight.
