Chapter 1076: Testing the Magic Gloves

We’re here in the pyramid dungeon. Not the place that Georgia mentioned. It’s just a pyramid dungeon.

And I’m with Candy. We’re here to test the new magic items we got. The sexy dress and the gloves.

The dress was originally white. But when Candy wears the dress, the dress changed into yellow.

"Seems like the color changed depend on the wearer’s magic. Since I’m best at lightning magic, it changes into a yellow dress," Candy said as she covered that dress with Blobbycoat.

"Though it’s now black. Well, if you will still wear it in the future, I’ll make sure that I create a new clothes design for you to wear," Victoria said.

"But I think this will suit Angela more. Well, she will be our strongest mage. So she should get the best equipment as well," Candy said.

I also think that Angela should be the one to have the dress. She is probably the most likely one to ever reach the stage beyond master level.

I bet once she reached master level, she is going to challenge me for a fight. To test her new strength and see how much the gap between us is.

Though before that, I will ask her about the dress first. If she wants the dress, she will be much stronger. And I will probably lose against her. I can’t let that happen whether she wears the magic dress or not.

"Roy, how is the dungeon?" Candy asked.

"It’s huge. I think it’s bigger than the previous dungeon. And the monsters here are mostly undead," I said.

Similar to the big tree where I found the elves, the monsters here are undeads or zombies. They are either monsters or humans.

"From the look of it, the zombies can still use magic. This might be difficult since we don’t know when they died. If they are people of the past when master level mages are abundant, then we might face master level mages. Candy, you can fight first. I’ll join when I see that the battle will be harder than expected," I said.

"Zombies, huh? Don’t we have that Death Mage as our enemy? She should be able to raise the death and let them fight for her. We can make this as a training to face her in the future," Victoria said.

Right. I forgot about that Death Mage. She might be more dangerous than the Evil God. Though I just know by now that Death Mages can revive the death as zombies to fight for them.

Should I bring the others here? From what I see, it seems like just Candy alone is enough. There’s no need to bring the others.

Maybe if they want to fight zombies, I’ll bring them here in the future when the monsters here have reappeared again. Then we can use this place for our training against zombies.

"Former human who becomes zombies can use magic? Then it will be a good training, I’ll test my fire magic for now," Candy said.

"Then, our goal today is to explore the dungeon. And this dungeon is huge. Not just that. There’s an upper floor and lower floor in this dungeon. We can still go deep into the basement. I think it will take days if we want to explore this place leisurely and get all the treasure chests. If we want to hurry, then we can probably explore everything in a day. What do you think, Candy?" I asked.

"Well, I’ll just explore the dungeon with my own pace. You don’t have any trouble keeping up with me, right? First, I’ll go check the upper floor. Then I’ll go to the basement. Roy, you don’t have to guide me. I’ll go my own way. I’m still a former agent and I’m good at not missing a thing. But if I miss something, just tell me," Candy said.

"Okay. I’ll follow you so you won’t get bored on your own," I said.

This time, I don’t have to guide her all the time. I just need to point out somewhere she missed.

There are not many treasure chests in this dungeon. At least from what I see. So we just explore the dungeon leisurely.

And soon after, we encountered three zombies. Two monsters and one human.

"Oh, they don’t seem to fight against each other," I said.

"Maybe they know that they’re all zombies. So there’s no reason for them to fight at all," Victoria guessed.

And while we’re chatting, Candy fought the zombies. And the human zombie can use magic. We guessed that it’s the case, but it was still surprising to see that.

Though the magic was not as good as Candy’s magic. And she easily defeated the three zombies with three Fire Arrows.

"How was it? The dress’ effect I mean," I asked.

"My mana is still full. I haven’t spent any at all even though I used three rather powerful Fire Arrows. Even though I’m a master level mage, I should still be able to feel the decrease in my mana. But I didn’t. It’s really amazing. The dress and the gloves. Maybe if there’s anyone who doesn’t mind the revealing dress, we can give someone else the gloves so the gloves can improve the effect of other magic items," Candy said.

There’s that too. And I think I have one thing I want to test.

"Candy, can I borrow those gloves? I want to see if they will be effective with the magic kunais I have. And let me fight the next enemies," I said.

"Those things that you can infuse magic and use as throwing weapons, right? Sure," she said.

Now I’m wearing the gloves. And I have my kunais prepared.

Soon after, we encountered five zombies. And I decided to go alone.

First, wearing both gloves while throwing a kunai. I didn’t infuse much mana into the kunai, but it was sharper than when I infuse more mana into the kunai when thrown. It’s amazing.

Then the other four zombies noticed me and trying to come to me. But I threw another one.

This time, I only wear the glove on my right hand. Then I threw the kunai with my right hand. The effect is still visible, but it’s less than before. And I killed another zombie.

The third zombie, I throw a kunai using my left hand. The hand that didn’t wear a glove. The zombie didn’t die because the kunai’s effect didn’t improve. Then I killed it with Blobbygun.

The fourth zombie, I wore both gloves. Then instead of throwing, I kicked a kunai to the zombie. Now it’s the same as when I threw it wearing both gloves.

"I see. So the effect is only great when both gloves are worn at the same time. I thought that they could be worn by two separate people. And they’re effective on other magic items as well. Candy, you’re right. If there’s anyone who doesn’t mind the exposure of the dress, we should give the gloves to someone else," I said.

"What about the last zombie?" Candy pointed at the last remaining zombie.

The zombie was running toward me. It’s a monster. But I don’t care.

I just remove the gloves and return them to Candy who casually wore them in front of the running zombie. Then I walked toward the zombie and move sideways to dodge the running zombie and trip the zombie’s leg.

The zombie falls. And Candy use Fireball to kill the last zombie.

"Nice," I said as I collected the four thrown kunais. They are magic items that can be used many times.

"But it still works when you only wear one of them, right? Though you have to use the item that with the hand that wears it," Victoria said.

"The effect is not that good though. Well, we can discuss it later with everyone. Though I still don’t think that there’s anyone who are willing to wear such revealing outfits in a war," I said.

"What if we modified the dress? As long as we just made some expansion without altering the original part, the effect should still be there. But the color might change depend on the wearer. So I guess we can only add white or black parts on the dress," Victoria said.

That is right. There’s no need to stay with the style that whoever designed it wanted. As long as the original part is still there, it should be fine with some modification.

This way, we can give the gloves to someone else. Even me since I rarely use those kunais anymore. Because I can just use long distance slash with my Aura.

"We will discuss it later with everyone including Jeremy. If it’s possible to do it, then we will do it," I said.

Maybe just a little modification is fine. Enough to cover the revealing area. And this will make the dress can be used.

"Wait, you girls have different sizes, right? Then does it mean that the dress adjusted its size to the wearer? Then I guess it’s impossible to modify the dress," I said.

"I don’t think our sizes is that much different though? At least Angela’s body and my body don’t have much difference. Though if it’s about modifying it, don’t we have some clothes with similar effect that can adjust to the wearer’s size? Maybe you can modify the dress with them," Candy suggested.

Right! I forgot that we also found some kind of clothes from Timmy’s treasure vaults. We can use that for the modification.
