Chapter 1075: Appraisal Result

Back to the pyramid search. We haven’t found where Georgia was taken. I’m not even halfway yet until I reach Arturo. We found several pyramids, but none seem to be the right place.

"Without any real clue, we can’t do much," Spot complained.

"I agree. At least once I finished with the coast in Varadis, I’ll take a break and let the other search for it," I said.

"But you took a break every day though. You’re just flying with Spot or Ray and look around. Then you return home and sleep. And sometimes, you would go somewhere else," Victoria said.

Not just when Claudia called me to stop Celestine. I got a few calls for help by other people. And I helped them. It’s better than just searching for the pyramid.

For some reason, there are a lot of them. Like why were people of the past building a pyramid? And most of them have nothing inside.

Victoria said that some pyramids in her previous world were giant tombs for a pharaoh. Some kind of king perhaps?

So for the empty pyramids, it’s possible that the body of the pharaoh had been taken away for some reason.

And a few days ago, I found a pyramid with the body still inside. I guess she was right. Though I’m not a historian and I’m not interested in the body of a dead king.

At least they should be buried in the pyramid with their wealth. Then I can take them away instead of having nothing.

"Why would someone built a pyramid as their tomb?" I asked Victoria.

"Probably just to show their wealth after they died," Victoria said.

As we continue flying, we found another pyramid. So we floated above to check it.

This pyramid is huge. Even my Divine Vision can’t see everything.

"Oh, this is also a dungeon. This dungeon is inside the pyramid. Spot, let’s check around this place first. Then when we’re entering the dungeon, you can return to Monsters World. I think we’re done searching for another pyramid for the day," I said.

"Okay."

Spot flew around the pyramid. Far enough for my eyes without Divine Vision to still be able to see the pyramid. And it’s time to check the surrounding if there’s any facility near the area.

There’s no city or village near this pyramid. So it’s likely that no one has discovered the pyramid dungeon.

There is a mountain, but there’s nothing in there other than some monsters and animals. It seems like this is not the place that Georgia mentioned.

"Sigh... another miss. Well, at least we found another dungeon to explore," I said.

"Last time, only you and I entered the dungeon. Maybe we should invite someone else this time," Victoria said.

But as we were about to land in front of the entrance, I got a call. It’s from the appraiser who lives next door to me in Cassau.

"It’s done. We have appraised the dress, the gloves, and other things you found before," he said.

It’s the items we got from the cave dungeon where we found other hunters inside. We got a lot of items. But most of them are just gold and magic stones.

"Then I’ll return home soon after this," I said.

After we landed in front of the entrance, I returned Spot back to the Monsters World and I returned to Cassau after I marked the entrance with a Blobby.

The appraiser, Jeremy, is ready to tell us the result of the appraisal for all the items.

From the worst one, to the best one.

The bad ones were not good enough. They can be sold for a good price, but they’re useless for us. Though for ordinary hunters, they could be useful.

Then most of them are something that is not useful for master level mages. I guess we should sell them or store them until we found someone to use them. Or I can just give them to a king. Then they can use the items as reward when someone achieves something good for the kingdom.

I’ll suggest that in the next meeting. Along with the good items that can be used by other people.

Then the last two are the most useful ones. The gloves and the dress.

"Which one you want to hear first?" Jeremy asked.

"The dress. I’m more curious about it," I said.

Jeremy was Albert’s agent. But although he knows that I’m from the future, he doesn’t know anything about the dress. That it was Angela who wore it in my past life.

Jeremy explained to me about the dress. By this time, the girls have returned from their quest and interested in the items. They know about the dress, so they’re curious about it.

"The dress is too revealing. Will the effect still work when someone covers the dress with something like a coat?" I asked.

"It won’t be as good as it should be. Because it absorb mana from nature. If another piece of clothes covers this dress, the mana absorption will be less than it should be," Jeremy said.

No wonder Angela didn’t wear anything else to cover this.

Seriously, a fishnet stocking and a sexy dress like the ones that a prostitute wears. Whoever designed them must be a pervert.

"At least it should still work when being covered, right? So, anyone wants to wear this?" I asked the girls.

"That is useful indeed. But it’s too revealing. Though to know the real effect, we have to test it first," Kayla said.

"Oh, I know a place. I found a pyramid dungeon that I actually want to explore after this. You can test the dress over there. Though before that, let’s hear about the result of the gloves. It seems like this is useful as well," I said.

Then it’s time to hear about the gloves’ effect. And it was surprising to hear about it.

"The gloves effect is to enhance other magic item. Wearing it along with other magic item will make the other magic item more effective," Jeremy said.

"...So, if someone wore that dress and the gloves, the result will be..."

"From what I see, it seems like they are a set. Wearing both should make the dress still able to absorb mana even when another piece of clothes is covering it as long as the wearer wore these gloves," he said.

Nice. Now, no one will have a problem with the dress.

Angela back then didn’t wear the gloves. Maybe someone else found the gloves or they were never found. That’s why Angela had no choice but to wear the sexy dress into the war.

The dress is white. And there’s another effect that made the dress won’t get dirty even with dust or blood. So no one had a problem of wearing it every day.

I suggested that the one who will get the dress to have Blobbies as her outerwear until we designed a coat or something to go along with the dress.

Jewel refused because she can transform as a Rhino. And it will be weird if she transformed into a hybrid mode wearing that dress.

Some other rejected as well with various reasons. And the dress finally ended up in the hand of Candy. The dress along with the gloves.

"I think testing it in a dungeon right away could be a problem. Let’s test it somewhere first before we go there. We can explore the dungeon tomorrow," I said to Candy.

"Sure. Let’s train in Monsters World. Away from other people’s and monsters’ eyes. I want to test the dress with and without the gloves," Candy said.

What about me? I’m fine because I have seen her body a lot. And never got tired of it.

So we go to the Monsters World with Victoria. And the first thing we tested was how long can her fire magic last with the dress on.

She uses enough power to make the fire so hot. And she should be tired already since it has been five hours since she started doing it non-stop.

"How do you feel?" I asked.

"...I still have a lot of mana. It doesn’t even feel like I used any mana at all. This is nice," Candy said.

Then next she tried again after wearing the gloves. It doesn’t seem like there’s any difference.

Then the next attempt was to test the power of the dress after covering it with Blobbycoat. We checked it both with and without the gloves on.

"Covering the dress made me use mana a little bit. But wearing the gloves feel the same as when I’m just wearing the dress," Candy said.

"Nice. So, you want it?" I asked.

"Why don’t you ask Angela? If she wants it, she can have it. This was originally supposed to be hers after all," Candy suggested.

"I’ll ask her when she reached master level. What about you? Do you still want to test the dress in the dungeon tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yes. We shall do that then."

I guess the dress might still end up in Angela’s hand. But that’s even better. Who else but the strongest mage can wear something that good?

After that, we returned to Cassau to rest. We will return to the pyramid tomorrow.
