Chapter 1072: Discussing About Hunters and Hunter Guild

After leaving the dungeon, since I was too lazy to continue the exploration, we decided to rest on a city nearby. It should be the city where the hunters from before came from. I might meet them again, but I don’t care.

I check the city and there’s nothing that looks like a lab for experimenting on either humans or monsters. So I think this is not where Georgia was.

Georgia was originally from Monsters World. But we found her on Earth. Which means that she was summoned to Earth. Which was why we think that the place she mentioned was on Earth. Because she said Varadis.

But that could be not the case at all. She might be tamed and taken somewhere in Monsters World for experimenting. Then after the experiment, she was forced to go to Earth and get herself prisoned.

If I think about it, that jail where I saw a lot of other monsters seem to be where they put failed experiment. Instead of just killing them or releasing them to the wild, they put them in prison. The reason? Probably so that the cult can use Georgia and other monsters for other experiments.

That’s what everyone thought after we heard the clues from Georgia. But it could be wrong.

I’m tired of being looked down and seen as weak. But I can’t reveal that I’m an Aura user either.

If I go into a hunter guild and people saw me, they will try to exploit me. Maybe there will be another people who pretend to be members of my clan. Or they simply find a chance to kill me. Then the guild master turned out to be corrupt and I got imprisoned for false accusation. It’s really a pain.

I thought that being a hunter was good. Defeating monsters and finding treasures. But it’s not like that anymore. It’s just full of bad people.

Maybe because in my past life, I look so weak and no one tried to bother me. And after I gained Aura, everyone was busy with the war.

Now, the war is only a problem for the kingdoms. And we are also still strong enough that we don’t have the need to ask for reinforcement from hunters. Except for my clan.

Maybe from future battle, I will suggest the kings to ask reinforcement from hunters. Even if they are weak, they can still add our numbers.

And if we find that they have good personality, then the kingdoms can recruit some hunters. And if they can be trusted even more, I will bring them to Spirit Mountain until they reached master level. That would be great.

Oh, they are actually more efficient than me. Isn’t it better if I just leave it to them?

"You alone can survey more areas than many of the agents combined even just by standing still. So you can’t stop now. Though I won’t deny that our soldiers might be able to find them earlier than you," Albert said when I spoke about my concern.

It’s better than boring days at home. Even at home, Kayla and the others prefer to go out and take quests. They desire to be at the stage beyond master level. Now that they are master level mages, they want to try every way possible to get even stronger.

"Only less than half of them are near pyramids. Let’s investigate those places first," old man Henry said.

And the discussion goes on. Getting hunters to help us directly in battle might seem difficult at the moment. But if it’s just getting them to report something for a reward, then they should be willing to do it.

I know that there are some agents hiding and living as hunters. But why didn’t they suggest this?

Well, they’re mostly people who obey orders. Not people who suggested ideas to a king. So it’s no wonder that they never said this to anyone.

"Oh, and all agents and soldiers are... well, they are agents and soldiers. They are people who will obey your orders but they are not likely to suggest ideas or give opinions. Some of them are acting as hunters, right? Then it’s just weird how no one ever suggested this idea. So how about you set up some kind of... whatever it is directly under the kings so those agents and soldiers can share their ideas. And they will select some good ones before they suggest it to the kings," I suggested.

"Oh, I was already thinking about that. Well, it’s not me. It was actually William. We’re still working on it," old man Henry said.

"Consenza as well. We just got our first suggestion last week," Claudia said.

"Eh, we have one?" Lynn asked.

Yup. That’s very Lynn to not know about it. Though maybe she just forgets about it.

Anyway, the discussion progressed smoothly. We continue sharing ideas on how to get hunters and the guild to help us more.

This is not just a problem for kingdoms and their kings. It’s a problem for everyone living on Earth. So of course we should get everyone to help us.

Though about hearing suggestions from agents and soldiers, some are actually quite reluctant to do it. Including Albert. Because it seems like it will give power to agents and soldiers to change something about their kingdom.

For some, being a King is something absolute. Everything the King said is absolute. And the agents and soldiers are people who should obey the King no matter what. They are not like nobles who were given power. So for them to tell the King that they have something to say, for the King, it seems like they’re showing the King’s flaws instead.

I don’t think that’s the case for Albert. He doesn’t care about that. I’m sure he already has something else in mind. Though I won’t ask. It’s up to him to be what kind of King he is going to be.
