Chapter 1068: Something Familiar from a Treasure Chest

This time, I’m riding on Ray’s back as I look for the pyramid. We still haven’t found it. I wonder where it is?

Maybe Georgia saw something else. And maybe the pyramid is not a kind of building. Maybe it’s something inside the place where she was experimented on.

It’s difficult to understand with how little information we have. If I can’t find anything, I’ll just let the other agents look for it.

"Oh, Ray, let’s take a break. There’s a dungeon over there. Let’s explore it," I said.

"We’re taking a break by exploring a dungeon? Well, I guess that’s fine," Victoria said.

On our travel, we found a dungeon. It’s in a cave near the shore. It’s been a while since I last entered a dungeon. Well, the last one might not be that long. It was where I found Crabbe and the other Crab people.

But I have never explored any since then. I did take several quests as a hunter. But none of them are related to a dungeon.

I’m bored of looking for the pyramid. So it’s time for a break. And just as I thought of it, I found a dungeon.

It’s a normal cave from the outside. But in the inside, I can’t see the end of it.

I have now developed my Divine Vision well enough to be able to see deeper into an unexplored dungeon. But because of that, I can’t tell anymore when a cave is a normal cave or a dungeon.

But the dungeon I see this time is too big. Bigger than my Divine Vision can reach. So I’m curious about it.

"So, are you going to call the others or explore it with just us?" Victoria asked.

"What do you think? I think with our strength at the moment, each one of us can easily clear any dungeon without anyone’s help. To have two master level mages clearing a dungeon seems too much," I said.

"Then it’s just us. Let’s go!" Victoria said.

Why is she so excited about it? If she wants to go on her own, she doesn’t need to suggest inviting the others.

We reached the cave in no time with Ray’s speed. And now that we’re in front of it, it’s obvious that riding a horse inside is impossible. The entrance is too narrow.

"Sorry, Ray. I can’t take you inside. Do you want to wait for us here or you want me to return you back to Monsters World?" I asked.

Obviously, Ray can’t answer. But from his response, it seems like he’s going to relax by himself here and doesn’t want to return.

"Alright. You can do whatever you want. Just don’t get caught by someone else. What about you, Victoria? Well, I can expect that you want to explore the dungeon," I said.

"Of course! Maybe we can find something sexier than the fishnet stocking. I’m curious," she said.

Right. The fishnet stocking was something I found in the past when I explored a dungeon. It was an amazing item that can block fire and has the ability to maintain the wearer’s temperature. Maybe I can find something even better.

"Is there anyone inside? Since you can’t see everything, I guess no one comes here too often," Victoria asked.

"There are some people. But not many. I guess the location of this dungeon is still not known yet. I can see several treasure chests that haven’t been opened," I said.

"Let’s go then. You don’t have to do anything. Just let me fight as you share your Aura to me," Victoria said.

I can share Aura to other people. Just like how Ray does it. In fact, I can even share my Divine Vision to other people. But I rarely do it because usually in a battle, I will move on my own.

Victoria then transformed into her living armor form. I told her to look different than usual in case some people inside the dungeon are from the cult and have witnessed Victoria as living armor in the past. So this living armor is a bit different. This one is about as tall as me. Unlike the usual who is shorter than me.

Also, Victoria picked a broadsword instead of her normal one-handed sword.

"Why broadsword? The cave is too narrow for that."

"Oh, right. Then I will change it into a smaller. But I’ll make it look different than the sword I normally use. I’ll use katana," Victoria said.

"Isn’t that a two-handed sword?" I asked.

"I can use it either with one hand or hold it with two hands. Though the sword is a part of my body so it won’t ever leave me anyway," Victoria said.

I thought that the sword part is Blobbies. But she uses her own body instead.

I share my Aura to her. It will last for around ten minutes. Then I will do it again after that.

And we entered the dungeon. While I also watch where other people are and what they’re doing.

Those people are in three different locations. Whether they know each other or not, I don’t know. And I don’t care.

One is a group of four. The other is a group of three. Then the last one is going alone while hiding from monsters.

The one who went alone is waiting until the monster near him is away or when they’re alone. Then he will kill them using wind magic. He’s weak but smart.

In fact, none of the people here are expert level mages at all. I don’t have to worry about them.

The inside of the cave is like a maze. And I’m looking for the fastest path to any treasure chest.

"Go left. Then go right after that. There’s a treasure chest there. Do you want me to tell you about the monsters and traps?" I asked Victoria.

"There are traps here? Well, I think I will be fine with any trap and monsters. If even advanced level mages can enter this dungeon, I don’t think I will have any problem with the monsters here. You also don’t have to tell me what kind of monster ahead. Let me enjoy this adventure."

"Then I’ll just guide you to the treasure chests," I said.

The monsters in the way are easily defeated by Victoria. It has been so long since we just fight a monster that we can defeat easily. So Victoria had a lot of fun.

There are also traps that she got caught in. But she’s a Black Slime. None of those traps affecting here. Except the pitfall. But she could easily climb from the bottom.

And in less than ten minutes, while I haven’t shared my Aura again, we reached the first treasure chest.

Just in case, I checked other people’s progress as well. None of them move as fast as we did. They’re still too far and I don’t think we will meet them anytime soon.

"Treasure chest! It’s been a while since we find one. Let’s see what’s inside," Victoria said as she opened the chest.

And then, a poison dart was shot at her. And she felt nothing at all.

"I guess even the chests are trapped. But now, let’s see what’s inside."

And what’s inside shock us both. I couldn’t tell because it’s inside the chest so its form is not something I can tell with a glance. But when Victoria picked it up, we noticed right away what it is.

"...It’s a dress that Angela wore in your past life," Victoria said.

Right. As she said, it’s the exact dress that Angela wore in my past life. We both know because Victoria also saw my past projected thanks to the Spirit King.

"...It’s too sexy even for me. Angela’s cleavage will be seen and her back is too open. Then the dress is too short. Anyone can see what’s underneath easily," Victoria said.

"I guess she removed her shame by focusing on revenge against the cult. Though I wonder what’s so good about that dress. And how did she come to Varadis in my past life? I guess we will never know," I said.

I will get someone to appraise this dress. If it has good attribute, I will give it to someone. Maybe they can wear a coat or something over the dress so the effect will still be there.

"To think we found something that we saw in your past life here. Maybe we will find something even better," Victoria said.

"Is there any men’s clothing though? Why do I always have to get women’s clothing?"

"Your luck is terrible. You should have known that by now," Victoria replied.

She’s right. Though I feel like I have better luck in this life than before.

Victoria then transformed into her human form and wears that dress.

"This is a bit embarrassing. I don’t think anyone will want to wear this in battle," Victoria said.

"Do you feel anything when you wear that dress?" I asked.

"I can’t tell. Maybe it’s for mages. I can’t use magic so I don’t know."

She transformed back to her huge living armor form and gave the dress to me. I’ll store it in my room. After we finish exploring the dungeon and grabbing all the treasures, I will get someone to appraise everything we find. Maybe we will find something amazing.
