Chapter 1067: Looking for the Pyramid

Training Maya is finally done. I have taught her everything she needs to know. As for her summoning level, Georgia and take care of it. And Graham is watching her.

When she increases her summoning level again in the future, I told her that she can ask for my help. We will look for some other monster to be her familiar.

As for her air element, I think it’s fine for her to do her own training. And she will continue cultivate by herself.

When I told her that she can start training by herself, Airy decided to leave her and come with me for my mission. To look around the coast cities in Varadis. But the Spirit King said that there are some spirits who wanted to experience human civilization. Thanks to that, we got one air spirit that will help with Maya’s cultivation. She will stay with Maya.

And now, I’m in the coast city in Consenza. The closest coast city to the border between Varadis and Consenza. I will start from here and then move toward the coast in Arturo.

Other than me, Claudia is also here. Along with some agents who will search from here.

We got clues thanks to a moment of Georgia’s awareness. We only received three things, but it’s better than nothing.

First is coast city. It might not be a coast city. It could be that she said it because she could see the sea from where she was. But it’s still a clue.

Next is Varadis. I don’t think Georgia even know what countries exist on Earth. But she mentioned Varadis. It could mean that someone who experimented on her talked about Varadis a lot.

There are two things we can assume from that. First is that she was in Varadis. And second is the ones who experimented on her came from Varadis. For now, we will assume that she was in Varadis. That’s why it will be the first country we investigate.

Even now, Albert also prepared some agents to scout along the coast even though the coast in Arturo is not connected to Varadis at all. But just in case she was actually brought there, they investigated all countries that borders with the sea. Not just Tatrama. But also other smaller countries.

Then the last clue that Georgia said was pyramid. Then it could be that she was inside of a pyramid or she could see pyramid from where she was.

Other has prepared some people to investigate all the known pyramids in their country that is near the coast. Even the pyramids that was destroyed and no longer in shape now.

Even then, my investigation skill is much better than anyone else thanks to my Divine Vision. So I will check Varadis first before other countries.

Old man Henry also helped by checking if there are any scholars or researchers from Varadis who left the country or disappeared without a trace. They actually did that before when we learned that the cult artificially created master level mages using kids. But they double checked it now.

I wish I can get some more clues from Georgia. But that’s all we can get. Even later when we tried to get Georgia speak again, she didn’t say anything. I guess we will just have to wait until Maya reached the next level in her summoning element.

And now, I’m ready to fly. Riding on my favorite serpent, Spot.

"Are you sure you want me to do it with you? Isn’t Ray faster than me?" Spot asked.

"Yes. But he doesn’t have camouflage ability like you. And we need to be discreet before we started to attack them," I said.

"I guess I’m more convenient. So where should I fly?" Spot asked.

"To the east. And we will fly along the coast in stealth mode. Just fly close to the sea. I will check anything on the land with my Divine Vision. You don’t have to fly so fast since I need to be sure," I said.

Riding on Spot, we flew from Consenza to Arturo. It should take a few weeks with this speed. But that’s okay. We need to check everything thoroughly.

"If I see something suspicious, we will stop and check it first before we continue, okay?"

It took a few minutes until we passed the border to Varadis. We haven’t found anything so far. So we continue flying.

"Oh, I see a pyramid shaped something over there. Spot, we’ll stop there," I said as I pointed to what I found.

It’s pyramid indeed. But there’s nothing in it. And it’s small.

Just in case, I checked the surrounding with my Divine Vision. Below the pyramid, there’s just ground. Then I looked around to see if there’s any spot where someone can see this pyramid from. There is a cliff where people can see this pyramid. But there’s nothing in it. I have checked it again and again with my Divine Vision and that’s it.

I guess this is not it. I’ll just leave then.

"This not it. Spot, let’s go again," I said.

"Will we have to do this over and over again?" Spot asked.

"Yes. If you are tired and don’t want to do it, just tell me. It will be more risky when I ride Ray. But it’s better than running on my own," I said.

"Got it. I don’t think I want to do this every day. Just be more careful when you’re riding Ray since you can’t be stealthy," Spot said.

Yes. This will be another boring episode of me looking around without finding anything for a while. It was much better when we roam all over the continent in a circus troupe rather than doing this. I want to return to the circus.

"Lava serpent?" I asked.

"Serpent who can live in volcano," Spot said.

"That Lava serpent is just like a snake. Can still move around on the ground easily. Although she can spew lava from her mouth, she can also get rid of the flame around her body. So they can still meet normally," Spot said.

I started imagining a serpent who can fly, swim, and live inside the volcano. It can fly and spew lava everywhere.

Maybe that pyramid is also anything that looks like a triangle. At least if looked from one side, a pyramid will look like a triangle. So I should check on every mountain that looks like one.

"I hate flying over a volcano. We don’t know when they will erupt and shoot lava to the sky," Spot said.

"Then we will fly around it. If necessary, I will jump off and move on my own," I said.

Checking around the volcano, I didn’t see anything worth noting. It’s a normal land. Maybe more fertile because of the volcanic ashes.

From the look of it, it has been a long time since this volcano erupted. But Spot refused to get closer to the volcano. So I move on my own and climb it until I can see the pool of lava from the top.

It’s really hot. And I didn’t find anything again so I left.

After we continue our journey for a while, it has started to get dark. So we stopped this journey and I returned Spot to Monsters World. While I will report everything that I found to old man Henry.

"I see. So it’s possible that what Georgia saw was a mountain. Then as long as it has the shape of a triangle, we will investigate them," old man Henry said.

I told him about the pyramid and the volcano I saw. Then after I told him everything, I returned home to Cassau.

The next day, I fly with Spot again. But we didn’t find anything other than some pyramids and mountain that are far from human civilization. But something was weird.

"Roy, it’s weird. There are a lot of volcanoes and they made the soil fertile. But why is there no one farming on the soil? They should be a good place for harvest," Victoria said.

"I don’t know much about farming. But I’ll tell old man Henry about it later tonight. He will investigate it himself. Maybe sometimes in the future, he will create another city there," I said.

That is not my job at all. But maybe Victoria is onto something. So I will let old man Henry do the rest about those areas.
