Chapter 1059: Teaching Maya in Consenza

"Roy, there’s a battle in Consenza," Lynn said on the phone.

Today, I was just about to teach Maya about various types of gases that she can use. She’s an intermediate level air mage now and she can use sleeping gas and other types of gases. But I’ll just teacher about the sleeping gas while only tell her about other type of gases. There’s no need for her to make a gas that will make someone trying to kill everyone around them.

But before I could teach Maya, Lynn called me saying that her country is under attack by the cult. There are about a hundred master level mages.

"So, you need me to go over there and help?" I asked.

"Yes... No. Claudia had just returned and said that everything is under control," Lynn said.

This time, the voice who answered on the other side is not Lynn. It’s Claudia. I guess she took the phone from Lynn.

Then Claudia told me the summary of what happened. There’s nothing I can help them with. Claudia alone is smart enough to handle the rest.

But I guess it’s more like she wants to complain about her own Empress. Because everyone is busy, she wants to complain to someone. And since Lynn was calling me, she decided to complain to me.

It’s useless against someone with higher magic level than you. But these guys should just be intermediate or advanced level mages. So your sleeping gas should be effective to them," I said.

"Advanced level? I thought it will be useless against someone stronger than me," Maya asked.

"It is. But you can still see how effective it is. They will still get sleepy. And if they haven’t trained magic control like you, they will still sleep. Even if it’s just for a few seconds. I’ll show you how to use sleeping gas with this guy. For the other guy, you will try to put him to sleep yourself. There are also other type of gases like calming gas and others. Then she trained to the other thug. She failed to do it many times. But Lynn and I just watched her while chatting. She’s much more diligent than I thought since I thought she’s just a sheltered noble daughter. I guess it’s how much she wants to be with Fabio that pushes her this far.

After two hours of training, she finally did it. The thug finally fell asleep with her magic.

"With your level, it’s still impossible for you to make someone sleep for so long like me. But that’s enough to delay them. Well, I guess you succeeded with your sleeping gas. You can continue your outing with Lynn. If there are any more thugs approaching you, you will try to put them to sleep by yourself," I said.

And so, the two girls continued playing. I just watched them from distance.

They got hit on quite early after leaving the previous location. But Maya succeeded in putting two out of the three thugs to sleep. But the third one was quite difficult. So I come and knock him out.

"Seems like this guy is a better advanced level mage than the average. Well, good job putting the other two to sleep. Once you’re ready to go home, you can find me. You can enjoy the rest of the day with Lynn now," I said.

What should I teach her next? Other type of gases?

Well, if I’m out of things to teach, I can just go to the college in Cassau and have Maya take Sara’s lectures in her class. I don’t think anyone will object even if she’s not a student there.
