Chapter 1058: Intermediate Air Mage

"Still no fight at all?"

We’re here in a monthly meeting in Arturo. Mainly because I’m here.

We actually stopped doing monthly meeting before. But now they realized the benefits of just meeting once a month. So we do it again.

It’s also for the people here to bring new people whom they can trust here to introduce to everyone. Most of them are the master level mages I brought to the Spirit Mountain. But it’s not like we know everyone.

At least for the Kings here, getting to know more master level mages is good. Though I’m still the strongest one.

And in the discussion, I asked if there’s any war ongoing currently against the cult. But it seems like there aren’t any at the moment.

"Maybe they want to focus to rebuild their base in Monsters World. We haven’t gotten any important report from the scout in the Monsters World. They found some settlements for monsters. But there’s no sign of the cult at all," Albert said.

"Then we can only wait. And perhaps, we will use Fabio’s wedding as a bait," old man Henry said.

They have all agreed to invite other Kings for his wedding. Making the Kings left their country to visit Arturo.

So there will be two ways the cult will handle it. One is that they will focus their everything to attack the capital of Arturo during the wedding. That’s where the most important people in the world gather after all.

The other would be for the cult to attack the capital where the Kings have left. Though it’s obvious that there will be people protecting it. But because it’s likely that the strongest guards will follow the Kings, the security of the capital city will drop.

Well, with me at the wedding, I can transport anyone to anywhere. We just need to know which place they will attack first.

"So, is she okay with being here?" Lynn asked as she pointed at a girl who came here for the first time. Maya.

They met back when Fabio spread the news about his wedding. But she’s here for the first time in a meeting. Though she’s with Jewel, Kayla, Shirley, and the others. So she’s not really out of place.

But she still looks nervous. I guess that’s normal considering that everyone around here is important people. They have higher status than her father in their own country.

"She’s okay. Just not used to it," I said.

"If she’s too nervous, how about we let her return?" someone suggested.

"Can’t do that. One of the important discussion for the next few meeting would be Fabio’s wedding with her. She also said to me that she wants to see what she will face in the future with Fabio. She’ll get used to this sooner or later," I said.

Even Jewel, Kayla, and most of us are commoners. But she’s the daughter of the Duke. So I’m sure there are many chances for her to get invited to a party and meet important people in her country. Though she is still nervous when facing important people from other country.

As for me, well, I’m not exactly the right role model for most people in most things. So I’m way too different than other people. Do not copy me.

"Well, I guess this is it for today. There’s nothing else we can gain about this. Fabio, if you already have the date for the wedding, contact us right away. We will then start discussing about the security and whatsoever. Roy, take us home," Albert said.

With that, the meeting is over. And I brought everyone back.

Maya finally feels relieved. But she has to get used to this. She will be the Queen in the future.

By the way, although Lynn pointed at her for being nervous, there are other people being nervous as well.

Maya’s father whom we invited here as well. Her brother. And Fabio’s siblings. It’s actually their first time meeting most Kings here.

We had a few meetings here before. But Fabio’s other siblings back then were unavailable. So this is their first time in a meeting.

Fabio calmly told them to not be so nervous next time. Because we will have a few more meetings after that.

"Maya. I guess we won’t have any training today. But how is your progress with your air element?" I asked.

After I said that, Airy revealed herself and sat on Maya’s shoulder.

"She’s close to breaking through. I think she can attempt to break through the day after tomorrow," Airy said.

Hearing that, her father seems so happy. Fabio as well. Though he quickly returned to his job.

"Then we won’t train tomorrow as well. Focus on cultivating and then get some rest. Do you have anywhere you want to breakthrough at? If not, I have two options for you," I said.

"Can’t it be in my house?" Maya asked.

Then I looked at the Duke who just shook his head.

"I’m sorry, but it’s my fault. I should have let you grow stronger. Now that most people are already aware that you’re going to marry His Majesty, some will try to find fault with you. His Majesty is a master level mage. But if you breakthrough at home, people will learn that you just reached intermediate level. I don’t want them to make fun of you so I suggest that you don’t do it at home," the Duke said.

"Then I suggest either the Spirit Mountain or the Monsters Village. That’s if you don’t have anywhere else you want to go," I said.

"I have never been to the Spirit Mountain before. I want to go there!" Maya said.

"Then we will go there. Tell me once you feel that you can breakthrough. We will have a day of rest before we go there," I said.

To get rid of my boredom, I went for a few quests from the guild somewhere no one knows me and look down on me. I’m tired of being looked down by weak strangers.

It wasn’t much. Just a few quests that I could take care alone in a short time.

And finally, two days has passed. Maya whom I have given a phone to called me yesterday saying that she can attempt to breakthrough now.

She was so happy with her new phone that she contacted Fabio almost every day. But Toni or someone tried to call Fabio but he was unable to do it. So Toni got angry at Fabio and Fabio got a new phone for his private conversation. His old phone will be for business.

And everyone started to do the same. Mostly those who have a partner that we can trust and also given a phone. So I also got one because Kayla and the others forced me to.

Before I we leave to the Spirit Mountain, I asked Graham about Georgia. He said that she’s diligently killed any monsters she found. With roughly about a hundred monsters a day. I guess it won’t take long until Maya can reach intermediate level in her summoning element as well.

"Let’s go," I said after I opened a portal.

We then entered the portal. Just Maya and I. And Victoria and Airy as well.

"I’ve heard about this place from Airy. And it’s really beautiful!" Maya said.

"Welcome, Roy. It’s been a while. And that is... weak. Who is she?" the Spirit King greeted us and asked me who the person I bring is.

"She’s Maya. My new disciple. She’s trying to breakthrough to intermediate level here. That’s fine, right?" I asked.

"Well, you’re the one who bring her here. So it’s fine. It means that you trust her," the Spirit King said.

Then he introduced himself to Maya. He seems to be interested in Maya’s memory. It’s fine as long as Maya agrees to it. But now is not the time.

Then I looked at someone who is walking here. She’s Angela. She hasn’t reached master level yet but I can feel that she’s already more powerful than before.

"Angela, it’s been a while," I said.

"Yeah. I don’t know how much time passed since I came here though. She’s your new disciple?" Angela asked.

"Yes. She’s Maya. Fabio’s fiancée," I introduced them to each other.

"Oh. I thought she’s your new girlfriend," Angela said.

"No she’s not. How about you? You’re taking a break?" I asked.

"Yeah. I’m thinking of attempting breakthrough in a few days. I feel like this time I can really do it," Angela said.

If she feels it, then it will really come true. I have that much faith in her.

After that, I told Maya to breakthrough. It took only one hour until she finally reached intermediate level. And since this is our ally’s territory, there’s no one here attacking her.

"Congratulation for reaching intermediate level. Your mana capacity should increase now and you can open a portal for a longer time. And now that your air element has improved, I can teach you other air magic you can learn," I said.

With this, she can help doctors with air magic. Maybe her body has grown stronger and she can endure the gun’s recoil now. We’ll see in the next training.
