The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 1047: They’re Kidnappers

Chapter 1047: They’re Kidnappers

"Is that so? I guess it could happen since your clan is so famous. I’ll get someone to investigate the Guild Master then. Corruption is unforgivable," Fabio said.

He’s still working. And his eyes are fully focused on the paper in front of him. He just said it so casually, but I’m sure he knows what to do.

"For now, I will join those girls for the quest. Do you have any suggestion on what to do?" I asked.

"Nothing. If they piss you off you can kill them. Thanks to you, we already have evidence of what they’re doing. The rest won’t matter. The Guild Master will be arrested and be punished. As for those girls, you can treat them as criminals and kill them. Do whatever you want," Fabio said.

I guess I can leave it to him then. His people can also find out if they have more friends helping them or not. I just need to take the quest.

This means that the reward for the subjugation of the Giant Salamander will all be mine. I’m already so rich now that that much money is no longer tempting to me. But it’s still money.

"Oh, and if you’re going to kill them, don’t do it in public where everyone can see you. Since you’re strong, you can just threaten them. Or maybe kill one as an example and arrest the others. Good luck with your mission," Fabio said.

He’s telling me to kill some girls so easily without even making eye contact at all with me. I guess he really wants to finish his job as soon as possible so he can proceed with his wedding without any worry.

For their wedding will Maya be able to reach intermediate level in her summoning element? For air element, I can just bring her to the Spirit Mountain sometime soon. Without any distraction, she should be able to reach intermediate level in her air element soon.

I’ll ask more about her later when we start training. For now, let’s have fun with these fake Wolf’s Crown.

There’s still time until our meeting. But I’m looking for them already.

They’re talking with a carriage driver. He seems to be rather strong. Probably an expert level mage. Seems like he’s some kind of their boss.

I tried to get as close as possible to them without being seen and listen to their conversation.

"...What if he’s poor?" the man asked.

"What else can we do? There’s no more solo hunter I can find in the guild. He’s the only one I saw. We should ask that guy next time to increase the minimum member requirement to six," the girl who invited me said.

"What if we just split into two teams? Then we can trick more people by getting invited into a party of three?" someone suggested.

"You’re not that strong. It’s dangerous. Remember, our goal is to be rich. Not to risk our lives," the man said.

"Alright. For this mission, you will secretly help us from behind, right?" the girl asked.

"Yes. With your teamwork, you should be able to defeat the Giant Salamander. I will watch that guy during that time in secret and see how strong he is. If he’s not that strong, we can sell him for money. He dares to be a solo adventurer, so he will be sold for a rather good price. If he’s too strong, you just need to finish the quest normally," the guy said.

This is the trick they have been used for a while. I can tell because I got some info from Fabio’s agent that there were several solo hunters who went missing or reported to be dead. No one knew anything about them, but the report said that those solo hunters temporarily joined a party before they went missing.

They must be sold as slaves.

It must be the Guild Master who hid this secret. These guys must be bribing the Guild Master. And those solo hunters should be hunters like me who came here from another place.

That carriage driver is their leader. Their goal is money. Their way is to trick solo adventurer by inviting them for the quest using the girls in the party. Then they capture the hunters and sold them somewhere.

I checked that guy and he’s an A-rank hunter. If he just wants money, he can just take a quest and that’s it.

After a while, five minutes before the meeting time, I arrived there.

"You’re here early. Let’s go. I hired a carriage for us. We will finish this mission right away and before it’s dark, we should be able to return here. They will stay in the nearest village while we subjugate the monster," said the girl who invited me.

"Okay."

I looked at the carriage driver and he nodded at me. I just nodded back at him.

The journey didn’t take long. We’re reached the village and asked the village chief about the quest before leaving to kill the Giant Salamander.

"Oh, you don’t need to do anything. But if there are other monsters nearby, I want you to at least distract them. Because we won’t be able to kill the Giant Salamander if we have to focus on other monsters," the girl said.

I just nodded. I’m using my Divine Vision to see where the carriage driver is hiding as he’s following us.

What should I do? Pretending I’m weak? Or just reveal myself since I’m bored.

Well, they’re kidnappers related to slave-traffickers probably. I can just capture them, and go after the slave traffickers and destroy them completely. That should be enough to waste time until it’s time for Maya’s training.

Alright. Let’s do that.

We’re on our way to where the Giant Salamander was discovered. Then as soon as we find it, the girls attacked the monster.

They have a decent teamwork. It will take some time, but they can defeat the monster without the carriage driver’s help.

There are also other monsters nearby. But I ignored them all.

I’m going toward where the carriage driver is hiding. I don’t need to hide my strength. They will all die anyway.

Using my full speed, the carriage driver didn’t expect me to disappear from in front of him. And when he turned around, he sees me right in front of him.

"Nice necklace," I said. I have already put on the Magic Restricting Collar around his neck. So he can’t use magic anymore.

After that, I lightly punch him because he kept making noises. Then I dragged him near to where the girls are fighting the Giant Salamander.

"Everyone! Retreat! We’re no match against him!"

As soon as we get close, the guy shouted to his friends to retreat. No way am I going to allow that.

I grabbed pieces of Reizpear and recover it to its original form. Then, I used it to slash the Giant Salamander vertically. And I also use my Aura to make it stronger.

And just like that, the Giant Salamander was split in two. Even the earth was split thanks to my attack.

Look at how far I have reached. I don’t need to try so hard to kill this monster like I did in the past anymore.

Seeing that, no one dares to retreat anymore. Because they realized that they just messed with the wrong person.

"All of you gather here. I have some things to ask," I said as I sat on a toe of the Giant Salamander.

"Escape while I stop him!" shout the girl who invited me to join this party.

She attacked me using magic. But I just waved my hand to block her attack.

Since no one is willing to come I will be the one to get them.

In just a few seconds, those who tried to escape were restrained and brought together in front of the Salamander’s toe where I sit.

"You will pay for this!" the guy shouted.

"I don’t think I will. If you’re thinking about the Guild Master, evidence of his corruption has been found. He should be arrested right now. I hope the guild will still function normally even with this incident," I said.

"Who are you? Why did you do this?" the girl who invited me asked.

"Seriously? You’re wondering why I’m doing this?"

Then I looked around to see if there’s anyone else nearby. I even feel the wind with my air magic to make sure that no wind mage is eavesdropping.

"Okay, I’ll introduce myself. My name is Roy. The leader of the famous clan called Wolf’s Crown. Why I’m doing this? It’s because I have never met you in the clan before. I should be the one in charge of recruitment. But I don’t know any of you," I said.

Hearing that I was the leader of the clan they pretended to be from, their expression changed into despair. That’s how it should be. I’m the clan leader of a clan with multiple master level mages.

"I have questions for you. And you have to answer my questions truthfully. Wait here for a moment," I said.

Of course I can’t just ask them and believe that they’re speaking the truth right away. I’m going to bring a centaur here to confirm if these people speak the truth or not.

For them to dare to do this in a capital city of a kingdom, they sure have a lot of guts. Or maybe there’s another traitor in the kingdom. I’m sure Fabio won’t sit still about this. Even though he looks like his ass is totally glued to his chair right now.
