Chapter 1048: Slave Trading Organization
Chapter 1048: Slave Trading Organization
"So, who are you guys really? For you to dare pretending to be members of my clan, you sure have a lot of guts. Tell me," I asked.
There are still five of them. I should have killed one so they won’t dare to fight back. I don’t think I need to do that. They saw me splitting the Salamander in half.
So far, none of them seems to know that I’m an Aura user. But just to be safe, I’ll kill them. But that’s for later.
"...We are part of a slave-trading organization," said the girl who invited me.
She told me everything she knows. While her voice is obviously shaking.
No one among them dare to stop her from talking. They know already that they’re no match against me.
So, these five are from a certain organization for trading slaves. But they should be illegal, right?
In the end, even after all that happened, there are still some nobles who wanted to have slaves. Wanted manpower no matter how they get it.
This is Arturo. A country that was close to being conquered by the cult. And everyone should know that already.
But even after that happened, some who didn’t even join with the cult back then still doing this. I guess this is just too profiting for them to let go. Slave-trading I mean.
The main base of operation is in a city somewhere in Arturo. I guess I’ll tell Fabio about this.
The centaur I brought here with me told me that everything was the truth. There were no lies spoken.
"Then, why did you pretend to be from my clan? You think that there won’t be any consequences from doing that?" I asked.
"...Well, Wolf’s Crown should be mainly operating in Tatrama. We thought that it will be safe. And the clan is well-known to have more girls as the members than men. Since we have a lot of girls, we decided that it’s fine. The Guild Master was the one who suggested it. He’s with the organization. And as the Guild Master, he would know when someone from the clan is here. At least that’s what he said," the girl said.
Well, portals are still not that popular for normal citizens. So I guess the Guild Master won’t know that I can go anywhere I want at any time.
The Guild Master should be arrested already by now. And Fabio must have gotten a lot of information from him. I don’t think I need to bring these people with me.
"Anything else I need to know?" I asked.
"You won’t get away with this! You don’t know it, but the one in charge of this whole operation is the Marquis! Even if you’re the leader of the most famous clan, you’re still a commoner. You will be charged as a criminal!" the guy said.
"Hah! That’s funny. Let’s go, we’re going to meet someone," I said.
Then I opened a portal to Fabio’s office. He’s still working even though there’s someone else in the room. Other than those two, the Guild Master was also there.
"You even got the Guild Master here? Nice. I also haven’t killed these five," I said.
The five people were shocked that they’re in front of a King already. Then I just throw them one by one. The agent who brought the Guild Master didn’t say anything. He’s also a master level mage, so no one here other than me and Fabio can challenge him.
Then the centaur and I entered the room. With me riding the centaur. The ceiling is quite high, so we can fit.
"Fabio, they said that the one in charge of this whole operation is a Marquis. Though for the operation in the capital, it was mostly the Guild Master’s decision since he’s in that organization already," I said.
By this time, Fabio’s hand stopped writing and he’s looking at the Guild Master.
"Is that true?" Fabio asked.
"At least these five people believe so."
It was the centaur who said that.
"So, there’s someone who is responsible for slave-trading. Kidnapping hunters to be slaves," Fabio said.
"There’s also a rumor that some kids in some villages went missing. The rumor came from a poor village so we didn’t receive any report until now. As for the city that the Marquis in question is in charge of, although the citizens feel that there’s nothing wrong, the people in the slum have gone missing a lot. Since they are people from the slum, no one really cares about them," the agent said.
The Guild Master then looked at the five people I brought in anger. He’s still a strong Guild Master, I guess.
"We’re at war against the cult. People here should know best how dangerous they are. But to think that there are still people doing illegal things under my watch. This is unforgivable," Fabio said.
"In their defense, you didn’t even watch them. You’re focused on the cult so much that they can do anything," I said.
"I guess you’re right. You, go get Toni here. Tell him everything on the way as well. He will be the one to think of a plan of what we should do. And Roy, you can throw them into prison," Fabio ordered.
"Can I kill them instead?" I asked.
"I don’t think they know anything more than the Guild Master. Just leave the Guild Master alive. Former Guild Master," Fabio said.
"Wait, Your Majesty! I’m useful! I can—"
"No you’re not."
The guy I brought tried to complain that he’s still useful and don’t want to die. But Fabio clearly objected to that before he can say much.
"You’re pretending to be from Wolf’s Crown. A clan whose leader is my benefactor. The one who helped Arturo to regain its glory from the cult. It’s actually the former Guild Master that I want dead. But he’s more useful than you all. There’s something I want to do soon, so I have to get rid of any trouble right away. Your death is more useful since we can then have more room for cult members we will capture in the future," Fabio said coldly.
They tried to complain, but I quickly threw them into a portal. The Guild Master was thrown into a prison in Arturo. The warden will take care of them.
As for these five, I have something useful that they can do. So I brought them to Monsters Village.
"Tortoises and baby dragons. Come here," I said.
These five people were scared seeing monsters around them. But I ignored them.
When I called the tortoises and the baby dragons, other monsters also curious. Even Pawzer who is here.
"You said that you want to get stronger. Most of the enemies we will face in the future are humans. So I brought humans you can fight and kill. They are weak. But for newborn baby dragons, they should be suitable opponents. You can do anything you like with them. And the others should help by making sure that these people can’t escape from here," I said.
The tortoises and baby dragons want to grow stronger. So I should bring them some people that they might face in the future.
They are much weaker than our real enemy. But with this, they can try to get used to fighting humans.
"As for you five, you can never leave this village. I will tell them to not kill you. But for the tortoises and the baby dragons, they can kill you. Good luck surviving," I said.
Then I removed all their collars. They quickly tried to escape. But they were blocked by weretigers.
"Who are they?" Pawzer asked me.
"Idiots who pretended to be my people," I said.
"You know that they won’t be able to survive for long, right? Those monsters might still be kids. But they’re stronger than average monsters," Pawzer said.
"I know. But if they dare to pretend to be my people, they should be smart enough to think of a way to fight them. It’s not much, but this could be a great practice for them. And I don’t need to worry since you can protect them if these guys somehow ended up to be stronger than expected," I said.
"I didn’t say that I will do it though," Pawzer said with a smile.
"But I know you will. Anyway, I have to leave soon. But I will return in two days. I got a new disciple that I’m going to train. During this time when there’s no clash yet against the cult, I’m going to train her," I said.
Then I returned back to Fabio’s office. Toni is already there with a plan to arrest the Marquis.
"Roy is here. We can just have him transport us there and let us do the rest. He’s still someone that the cult wanted to kill the most. If he got caught from using his power, then there’s no way we can hide his identity anymore," Toni said.
"Then I’ll just pretend to be one of the soldiers and look for the slaves in the city. Even if you have master level mages, with me around, it will be faster to look for the slaves," I said.
"Good idea. We’ll do that," Toni agreed with my plan.
"You can go once you’re ready. And Roy, don’t tire yourself out. You still have to train Maya," Fabio said.
"This won’t make me exhausted at all. And I still have one more day before training. It should be fine," I said.
Now, let’s prepare for this mission.
