The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 1037: Aerial Battle

Chapter 1037: Aerial Battle

If he was trained to be an Aura user, and he somehow knew that the other people who trained with him died for some reason, then he should have known that their boss, the Evil God, was killing those who were successful in becoming Aura users.

Then there are only two answers.

One is that the mage in front of me is also an Aura user. But I doubt that. He just trained diligently so he became stronger than master level mages in his physical strength and magic. But the chance of him being an Aura user is not zero.

The other answer is that he’s unable to become one no matter what.

I was an idiot. So when I thought that I will become stronger just by training in my past life, I never thought of any other things. I even saw how stupid I was in training when I saw the recording of my past life that the Spirit King projected.

But because I was an idiot, I never thought of any things other than being stronger. And thanks to that, I somehow learned to use Aura at a later stage of my life. I think I was older than forty by that time already.

But I still managed to become one. What about this guy?

Not only he was trained by someone who is probably using him for experiment to be an Aura user, he also knew that the Evil God will kill anyone who becomes one. So he fells pressured. And his mindset was not a good one if he wanted to be an Aura user.

I learned it a bit from Victoria and Sonia’s master. He has the ability to see if someone has the talent to become an Aura user or not.

But he told me once that his parent also had the same ability. He told me when I was training my stealth ability. I took a moment of break and I asked all Aura user ghosts about many things I’m curious of.

He told me that he has several siblings. And his oldest brother was actually someone who was the most skilled in fighting. Either in close-combat using swords or a long range attack using bow and arrows. He was talented in many things.

But because of that, his father pressured him to become an Aura user. His father could see if someone has the ability to become an Aura user or not. And his father knew that the oldest child has the best chance to become an Aura user.

Thanks to that, the oldest brother became pressured to learn Aura. And thanks to that, he ended up unable to become an Aura user until his death. Even after Victoria’s master finally became one.

That’s how important a mindset is. For an idiot like me who thought that I had to be stronger, it was simple. But for someone who was pressured so much, they won’t be able to be an Aura user even with how talented they were.

That could explain if the mage in front of me, and probably all the people in the cult as well, were failed to become an Aura users. They know nothing. But they were pressured to become one even though there’s shouldn’t be anyone among them who were Aura users.

And in the end, they ended up hating Aura users so much. Because they were forced to train a lot while being under pressure by someone who might not exist.

But now I’m here. And I can feel his hatred even though he tried to looks calm in front of me.

I guess I’m such a detective. Or that I have a very wild imagination. But what’s the different though? Don’t they have wild imagination?

Unless they used their imagination based on evidences. But I used my imagination based on feelings. Even right now when I’m thinking about what they do, it’s just based on my feeling.

Forget about it. Let’s focus on the enemy in front of me.

"You were unable to become an Aura user. Is that why you hate me?" I provoked him. Though that’s just a question and not provocation.

"What about it? Our goal is to destroy the world. It was never to become Aura users," he said. I can feel a hint of anger from his words.

"Seriously, if you don’t like the world, then don’t live in it! You can just die and spare the trouble from us who want to live. Don’t give us more trouble!" I shouted.

They can just kill themselves. But why would they do something stupid like destroying the world?

Is it because they are from a cult? And their belief is that there’s something to gain after this life mission of theirs?

Like what? Going to heaven? To hell?

There must be something else that they will gain after destroying the world. Or maybe destroying the world itself is just a distraction.

I don’t know. I can only fight and kill the enemy. I have let my imagination run wild so much today.

"Whatever. My job is to kill you. And your job is to kill me. There’s nothing else for me to know," I said.

Though I do think that it’s better if I could capture him since it seems like he’s the one in charge of the tortoise. He should have a lot of things that only he knows.

But I want him dead. I want all my enemies to die. I guess I need some restrain.

And it’s a good thing that Victoria and Ray are not in the middle of a battle right now. So I summoned them both here.

’Bad guy, trained his body, pressured to be an Aura user but failed. He’s still strong and a tamer. The Kaiser Tortoise is his tamed monster,’ I said.

’Pressured? The cult did that? I suggest that we capture him,’ Victoria said.

’I know. You’re here to stop me from killing him. And his taming magic allows him to contact his monster via telepathy. So restraining him would be difficult,’ I said.

Just do your best, is what she said when I noticed that the mage is ready to use his magic at me.

Being too far from him is dangerous. So I have to be close to him.

Good thing I have Ray now. And with Reizpear, I charged toward the mage.

!!!

"Ray, dodge!"

Soon after I said that, Ray stopped as I pulled the rein. Then a powerful magic was shot from below. It’s the tortoise.

And after the magic was gone, the mage was no longer there. He’s already so high above in the sky. Flying toward something that is about as fast as Ray. A small wyvern.

What’s that on the wyvern’s wings? The wyvern doesn’t even flap its wings. It flies using magic?

’A wyvern with engines to boost its speed? I guess I should expect more weird modification from the cult,’ Victoria said.

Engine? Is that for them to have that kind of speed?

But this will make things easier for Pawzer to talk to the tortoise if our fight gets too far from the tortoise.

"Ray, go after them! Andro, protect us from another one of that attack! Get its attention to you!" I said.

"You can focus on fighting that mage. I will take care of the tortoise," Andro said.

Now, we don’t have to worry about that kind of attack from the tortoise again. Andro will protect us if needed. But I have to get rid of the mage as soon as possible.

Andro is dying. So I don’t want him to fight for too long.

The wyvern’s speed is fast. Not only thanks to the engines attached to its wings. But also from the mage who uses his wind magic to help the wyvern boost its speed.

But the wyvern itself is weak. I don’t think it can react quickly from how fast he’s moving. It was just the mage who is grabbing the reins and forcing to move the wyvern according to his will.

Also, because of that kind of speed, they won’t be able to stop and have a quick turn. With Ray’s speed, we can catch up to them. He’s the best at maneuvering in the air.

Also, I still have the kunais with me. Magic weapons that I can throw. I can make it sharper and stronger after adding my magic into it.

I grabbed one. Then I used my new power to predict the wyvern’s flight before I threw the kunai.

Of course the mage noticed it. But because it was a magic weapon that I threw with the power of Aura, it flies so fast and even the mage unable to use his barrier to protect himself.

But he was still quick enough to make the wyvern changes its flying trajectory. Though my kunai still ends up hitting one of its engines.

The wyvern can no longer balance itself with only one of its wings has working engine. So the wyvern and the mage are falling down while gliding in circles.

Also, this should be far enough for Pawzer to approach the tortoise, right?
