Chapter 1028: They Can’t Stop Me

"He’s too strong! The monsters alone won’t be enough to stop him. He could even fight using Etherstone weapon!" someone said.

"That thing is just to block him from using Aura. He’s still a master in close combat even without Aura. And he’s also a master level summoner at least. The only effective plan would be for him to not be able to use Aura while we restrict him. Let’s do that!"

I guess that’s true. But I’m covered with Armor though. So unless the Etherstone weapon can pierce through my armor, I can still use Aura.

There are some parts in the gauntlet area that are not covered with armor. And I didn’t even bother to use gloves as well to cover for my hands. That’s why when I’m holding Etherstone, I can’t use Aura.

But for other parts of my body, they have to use strong attack to destroy my armor. And I won’t let them do that.

In fact, they weren’t even able to do that at all. Because Cooldra and the other dragons are coming closer.

They are still fighting their enemies. But the enemies were flying this way. And when Cooldra and some other dragons looked over here, they decided to come here instead. Leaving only a few dragons left to chase the flying mages.

"I’ll take it from here!" Cooldra said as he landed in front of me.

He’s standing on his two legs. And used his claws and wings to fight the enemies. As for those who are far from his range, he used his breath attack.

"Cool. I’ll see if there is anyone who needs my help," I said.

It’s good that we attacked this place fully prepared. While the enemies were not prepared at all. That should be one of the reasons why the battle progresses smoothly for us.

The dragons protected me as I looked around the battlefield. They didn’t need to though. In fact, they were not doing it at all.

They’re just fighting the enemies closer to where they landed. And since they landed around me, it seems like they are protecting me. At least that’s what the cult members are thinking.

"He’s asking for reinforcement from the dragons! Kill him so the dragons won’t obey his order!"

They are still mistaken it seems. I’m not a tamer. But they think that I am a tamer.

I looked around and see that everyone, at least in this mountain, is doing well. So I decided to take another mission while letting the others kill the enemy.

I’m going to destroy their communication device. That is what I’m going to do.

In this huge mountain, there must be several locations that they use to communicate with other bases. And I found several of them already soon after I landed in this mountain.

Sunglasses told us before that if there’s anyone who is not fighting, they should go look for such places and destroy them. To make sure that they can’t relay everything to other base.

And since I’m free right now, that will be what I’m doing.

This mission is optional. Because we will all busy fighting after all. And once we finished the battle, we will destroy anything here and grab some important items to be investigated. So there’s no need to do it while we’re fighting.

But it will be good if we can cut off their communication just in case. So for those who are free, they should go look for the communication bases.

I found three of them. And they are actually deep inside the mountain.

Maybe because they think that this mountain is safe, they didn’t bother to close the bases. Because those bases can still be entered through normal ways. Which is walking. And I don’t need to go there by digging.

So I quickly entered the path and kill everyone in the first location. Destroying their communication devices there as well.

As I run toward the second place, some people tried to block me.

"He’s coming here!" one of them said.

I killed them in no time. And soon enough, before I could enter the room where the communication devices are, a person inside the room sends a message before I could kill him.

"He’s cutting off our comm—"

That’s what he said before he died. And that’s enough for those who hear it to know what I’m doing.

Doesn’t matter. We’re doing really well today. If they bring their reinforcement here, we could kill a lot more of them.

This is great. We are stronger than them. Much unlike in my previous life when we were weaker than them.

If it goes on, even if the Evil God appears, we can still win, right?

But let’s not be overconfident yet. We still don’t even know who and where the Evil God is.

After destroying three places, I found out that there are more bases underground. Even below the mountain. And if I dig under there, it will take a long time.

I think that’s enough. I can let Celestine and other earth mages to take care of those places later.

For now, let’s go back to the outside and fight.

Oh, there are still a lot of them trying to ambush me at the exit. They think that I don’t know. But I know it very well.

If possible, I want to use the gas that will make them kill each other. But I’m just an expert level air mage. The enemies are mostly master level mages. I don’t think my gas will be effective against them.

If only I’m a bit more talented in air element, I could reach master level in that element. But I lack the talent. Still, reaching expert level in air element is already much better than I thought.

Since using gases won’t work on the enemy, there’s only one thing left to do. Kill them in the usual way.

The enemy ambushed me when I tried to leave. But I killed a lot of them easily.

The enemy didn’t give up. Instead, they fought even harder. Using magic or even tried to punch me.

None of them are earth mage. Because I know that the earth mages are busy right now.

They are trying to use their metal manipulation to manipulate Etherstone. They’re trying to trap in a cage made of Etherstone that they made.

It took fifty master level earth mages to build an Etherstone cage small enough for me alone. And they raised the cage from the ground. Right below me. So they finally captured me.

"Finally. With this, you won’t be able to do anyt—"

And I just shot him in the head using a Blobbygun I hid. Did they forget again that I’m also a mage?

I might not have powerful magic strong enough to kill all of them. But a gun is enough to kill some unprepared bastards.

This is a poorly made cage. They should have made a room instead of a cage with bars. I can fight as long as there are opening.

The earth mages who trapped me then quickly created a wall between me and them to protect the others. Only small opening can be seen for them to watch me.

"Let’s just watch him from here! He won’t be able to do anything like this," one of them said.

And they are wrong again. As usual, they forgot that I’m a summoner. A summoner who can open up portals.

So I gave them a middle finger as I opened a portal to where Graham is. I already told him that I’m going to come over.

How stupid. How funny.

Graham was not far from that place. So after I reached Graham’s location, I quickly run back to where they were and attacked them from behind.

"It’s useless! The Etherstone is useless against him!"

"He can still use magic! We have to stop him from using Aura, magic, and restrain him so he can’t use the strength of a master level mage! But how?!"

If they fail to even block one of them, then it will all be useless. That’s how amazing I am.

If they stop me from using Aura, I will use magic and my physical strength. If they stop Aura and magic, then it’s just physical strength. If they stop Aura and physical strength, I will use magic. And I don’t think they will be stupid enough to only stop me from using magic and physical strength. Because then I can use Aura.

They have to block all three of them at the same time. But with my physical strength alone, I’m confident that I can dodge them.

They then grabbed a small object and put it in their mouth. It’s the familiar explosive device that the cult members have in their mouth.

So they’re going to come at me. And once they’re close enough, they will explore the device and kill me along.

I won’t let that happen though. I just need to attack from afar if that’s what they’re planning.

The battle is still ongoing. Once I kill these people, there shouldn’t be any problem if I go to the other side and help for a bit. Let’s do that.
