Chapter 1012: Resting at Rygis

First was an underground base. Next was a floating island. I can only expect that their other bases will be in a similarly hidden location.

It’s good that I have Divine Vision. But it’s unfortunate that I can’t depend on it too much right now or I will be too tired.

And good news! Shelia and the others have defeated all the enemies who camped near the Kingdom I fought in before. Not only them. But we were right that there were stronger reinforcement coming. There might be more.

This means that there really was other base other than the one I destroyed underground. Or should I say the one that Kayla destroyed instead?

And there might be more. Though I don’t think there will be too many of them. Unless they have the resources needed to make those devices. And they mass-produced them already.

I checked the map. And I could tell that most of the attacks that happened were not too far from each other.

Rygis is a small country near Tatrama. And the other countries that were under attack, although Tatrama was not the closest country to their location, it’s still not too far.

Then the main base should be near Tatrama as well. As for where, I don’t know yet.

Normally, one would think that we need to check the middle of the map of the attacked location. But that doesn’t necessarily to be the case. Though Albert has sent some agents to investigate that place and the nearby area.

But the place I’m going right now is not the center of the map of the attacked countries. But that’s fine. I’ll just destroy as many of their bases as possible.

And from other Kings’ information, it doesn’t seem like other countries were under attack. So they’re ready to send reinforcement. And that’s why right now at the other battlefield, there are already people attacking at the enemy camps.

Since there are more people available, I should ask for help as well.

"Spot, let’s land on that area first and... oh, we’re falling?"

While we’re flying to look after the next base, we suddenly free falling from the sky.

"Roy! Seems like we entered a Magicless Area! Get me out of here! Falling from this height, I won’t die. But it will still hurt regardless," Spot said.

Magic is unusable here. But I can still use Aura.

I quickly kicked the air and grabbed Spot. He’s in his original huge form, so he’s heavy. But I can still do it. I’m an Aura Master after all.

I pushed him back to where we flew from. And soon enough, I no longer feel resistant in pushing him. He’s already flying.

"From now on, it’s best for you to be in your smallest form that I can ride on. Then I can easily carry you to the other side," I said.

"I agree with you. But where are we?" Spot asked.

I checked the map. Though it was Victoria who pointed out where we are right now.

"We should be in this area. People never get to this area so no one ever bother to check if it’s a Magicless Area or not," Victoria said.

So other than the previous Magicless Area near Cassau that is already huge enough, there’s another Magicless Area in Tatrama? It’s worth investigating. But not right now. Because the devices that they use need magic to be used. And I’m sure that they wouldn’t build a base inside the Magicless Area. But if it’s the surrounding area, then it’s possible.

"I’ll tell Albert about this place. Though in the end, it will be me who will have to investigate this place," I said.

"Roy, what was it that you wanted to say before?" Spot asked me.

"Oh, right. I want to summon the other monsters to help. Just the three of us looking for their bases will take a lot of time. Even if the other monsters don’t have Divine Vision, they can still help at least," I said.

But they can mostly look for the base in the air or on the ground. Not underground. But it should be good enough to help at least.

So I only picked the dragons and the angels to help look for things in the sky. As for the ground, they’re the werewolves’ duty.

I told the werewolves to look on the ground in case they somehow entered Magicless Area like we did and started free falling from the sky. Although they kicked the air like I did, they used magic. While I use Aura to do the same.

For the dragons and the angels, it should be fine. After all, they have wings.

They told me before that they fly using magic. But if they can’t use magic while in the air, they will be fine. Because they can at least glide in the sky and landed safely somewhere.

"Help me look for the enemy bases. You can start searching from around this Magicless Area. But I suggest that you don’t enter it," I said.

Though even if they do enter it, they should be fine. Their physical strength is stronger than any average master level mage’s strength after all.

Then I contacted Crabbe using telepathy. I didn’t summon him because we’re far from the sea. And that’s where I want him to start searching from.

’Crabbe, you understand?’ I asked.

’I understand. I will tell the others to help," Crabbe said.

He’s already with the other Crab People. So I’m sure that they can take care of the sea. But I also told them to enter any river if they found any. They might lead to a lake or somewhere where the cult’s bases were hidden.

"Alright, Spot. Let’s go! This time, I’ll carry you until we pass the Magicless Area," I said.

"I’ll just wrap myself around your waist like we did in the past. It’s easier for us both that way," he said.

And so I run in the sky with Spot around my waist. And sine Victoria can’t speak without using magic, it was quiet.

I also checked the Magicless Area and even under the ground. But I didn’t find anything other than monsters.

We finally passed the Magicless Area and Spot quickly transformed again and now I’m riding him again.

As we continued looking for their base, we finally found another one in the sky. Another floating island. So we just do what we did previously.

"It’s hard to shoot from this far without being able to see the island itself. The previous one, I just scratched the core, right? What if I miss this time?" Spot asked.

"Then it’s a brawl. We already challenged the cult anyway. We can just go all out in the fight. It no longer matter whether they found out about us destroying their base one by one. We just need to be able to keep up with the change whatever the cult decides to do next," I said.

"That’s good to hear. Then let’s do it!"

Fortunately, Spot didn’t miss. In fact, he shot the core of the island directly. I guess we still manage to be stealthy again this time.

Then we found another base. This time, it’s underground. And I called Kayla to help again.

Since it wasn’t as deep as before, Spot didn’t have to shoot his breath magic on the ground again. Kayla can kill the people under the ground directly.

"Roy, don’t you think that instead of going to their main base, you ended up going to the next battlefield instead?" Kayla asked after she checked the map.

"Oh, right. Well, I have put some Blobbies in the previous locations. Even if we end up going to another battlefield, we can return right away," I said.

Still, it will be annoying if I end up have to go back to look for the main base. But there’s nothing we can do. Maybe we can wait again. But then, when will this end?

As Kayla expected, after a few more bases located and destroyed, we ended up near the fight in Rygis. But this place had already been taken care of.

Since it might take longer, we decided to get some rest in Yuria’s place. And her servants served us with some meal.

"So you ended up here after all that? Instead of using portal, how about you find another base close to the previous one you find. Then you can connect the two places together and find other base like that," Yuria suggested.

"That sounds better than being confused after I use portal thinking of where we should look. I’ll do just that. After this next meal," I said.

"Just don’t eat too much and empty our reserves. After this attack, we need a lot of foods," Yuria said.

"Then you will ask me to transport supplies from other countries. That’s how it will end up anyway. So it doesn’t matter," I said.

"I guess you’re right. I hope you can find their main base soon,"

She then returned to her work. She must be busy taking care of the citizens.
