Chapter 1004: Bringing the Prisoners to Albert

I returned to the underground prison and brought all of the prisoners to the dining hall. It’s because all of them were malnourished. So we wanted to discuss things with our belly full. And yes, I also joined in.

Though before they could eat, they noticed Albert right away and kneeled down.

"No need for that. In fact, it should be me who is apologizing for not sending rescue team thinking that you’re all already dead. I’m sorry that we didn’t notice at all," Albert said.

They cried. And Albert let them be and invited them to eat with him.

If there’s a group of people who were still alive, there might be more. I bet that’s what Albert is thinking.

Meanwhile, I’m calling Wendy right now. I told her to fly so she will be away from the Sus-teacher’s detection. Pretending to look for me.

"Roy, where are you? You didn’t come at all. Also, that master level teacher also came late. He was scolded by the Vice Principal," Wendy said.

"That teacher invited me for a meal before luring me into a trap as soon as he noticed that I’m the same Roy who is close with Angela. He’s really with the cult. Anyway, continue pretending that you’re looking for me. And if possible, watch that Sus-teacher’s movement. If he ever gets out of the city and move to the east, then he’s probably going to check on me. Inform me if that happen so I can return there and pretend to be captured again," I said.

"So you’re not there at the moment? Where are you now?" Wendy asked.

"I’m with Albert again. I’ll tell you everything later. Just inform me if he ever leaves the city," I said.

"Okay. Though right now, he has returned back to his house. That’s what the other agents told me. I don’t think he will go to your location anymore today. But we have made sure that there’s an earth mage agent nearby so he can tell me if that teacher decided to move from under the ground," Wendy said before she hang up the phone.

I can’t really inform her anything if I don’t know what to say. I’ll get Albert tell some agents to tell Wendy about it. And I will just relay Albert’s plan to Wendy after this meeting is over.

"Is everything you just said true?" Albert asked.

He knew it himself whether they said lie or not. But he still asked them whether they are true or not. What a good actor.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I promise you that everything is the truth," one of the agents said.

"I see. Roy, bring back the school principal here. He has the right to learn what happened to his son," Albert said.

His son is dead. And Albert himself wanted to tell that guy the truth?

He’s the guy who wanted to help his fake son before. That’s why we restrained him in that village with the other master level mages from that village. If he learned about the truth, then he might do something unthinkable and destroy our plan. Not that I know what the goal of our plan is.

But I do it anyway. I brought him back along with the other master level mages from the village.

And as expected, when he learned about it, he ripped off the collar which he still wore and about to use magic. I was about to do something, but I decided against it when I see that the other master level mages I brought already prepared to stop him. Even Mustache already moved to protect Albert. So I continued eating.

There were several hungry people here. But I was the one who eats the most. And I didn’t feel bad about it.

As an addition, I returned back to the underground prison and bring back what’s remain of the Principal’s son has become. A skeleton.

Whether after he died the others ate him, or he was used as a bait for small creatures to come so the others can eat those creatures, I’m afraid to know. Let’s stop imagining that.

"Even if you’re a king, you can’t stop me!" the Principal said.

"I can’t. But there are others here who can. Just one of them can stop you. And the guy who pretended to be your son is supposed to be as strong as the people from that village. Don’t forget that just because you’re a master level mage, you are the strongest. That is wrong. Each person here other than me and the people he brought here at least has killed dozens of master level mages," Albert said.

I don’t know what happened in the village. But after hearing what Albert said, the Principal calmed down. He must have experienced it somehow that he became the weakest among the people from the village.

"So, what do you want me to do?" he asked.

"I want you to return back to your duty as the principal of the school while pretending that you know nothing about all of this. Continue thinking that he’s your son. At the soonest, we will make our move tomorrow. When Roy or someone else informed you about it, you can do whatever you want. But leave the target alive. We will interrogate him first. After we learned everything we can get from him, you’re free to do anything to him. Other than letting him free," Albert said.

Tomorrow. That’s when the maids will deliver their reports. And we will try to ambush anyone who approached the written report. And then, we can try to capture the Sus-teacher.

"Roy, tell Wendy to leave the city for a while. With her flying speed, it won’t be suspicious if the other party learned that she’s in another city. Then you can meet her and bring Kayla with you to pretend that Wendy informed Kayla that you went missing and Kayla is trying to help you. We can’t bring Angela because she’s still trying to reach master level, but Kayla should be famous enough for him to know. And you should probably bring Sara as well so he won’t be suspicious why the underground prison made of metal can be opened. Just to hide Kayla’s strength as master level earth mage," Albert said.

"What about other people inside the prison?" I asked.

"For that, you will bring with you other healthy agents who will pretend to be starving. I’ll inform them so you can meet up with Wendy right now," Albert said.

And so, I called Wendy and told her about what we learned. I also contacted Kayla and Sara as Albert suggested.

Then I opened a portal to where Wendy was already waiting and brought Kayla and Sara there.

"It hasn’t been long since you’re in this mission and you’re already encountered a problem, huh?" Kayla said.

"I know, I know. Albert already said that to me," I said.

Since that teacher didn’t seem to be going to the prison anymore tonight, Wendy brought Kayla and Sara to the city to rest. They will look for me tomorrow.

Since that teacher is a master level earth mage, he should know that Wendy brought two people into the city.

Then one hour after that, the principal returned. He traveled from underground right into his home.

Since the Sus-teacher won’t be visiting the prison, I can observe him from the sky. I’m riding Spot to do that. It has been a while since we’re together like this.

"Not Ray but me? What an honor, I guess," Spot said.

"Well, Ray can’t stay still in the air. And you can also turn invisible. So you’re the best choice. And the cult should have remembered Ray’s appearance so I can’t bring him with me all the time unless I want the cult to know that I’m the Aura user," I said.

When the Principal returned home, the Sus-teacher reacted. He walked to the Principal’s house and the Principal noticed it.

The Principal should be stronger. I know because he can sense it when I watched him from this far but the Sus-teacher couldn’t. But the Principal shouldn’t do anything stupid.

The two meet. And they exchanged pleasantries. I guess that old man is a good actor as well.

After about one hour, the Sus-teacher finally left. And when he’s far from the Principal’s house, the Principal smashed the table into pieces in anger. Well, he needs a new table now.

Then the Sus-teacher approached Wendy’s inn. He didn’t enter. Just watched the inn from the restaurant across the street.

Then Kayla and Sara exited the inn. I’m sure they’re the ones that the Sus-teacher was watching. He must be waiting for Angela, but Angela didn’t come. But he was not disappointed because Sara and Kayla were also famous. They can be good targets for him.

But I’m sure that he won’t be alone when approaching them. He will bring some reinforcement. Because Kayla, Sara, and Wendy were all very strong.

He returned home and sleep after watching Kayla and Sara. There’s nothing for me to do, so I returned to Cassau for a few hours of sleep before returning to the underground prison with new agents.
