Chapter 1388 404: Chaos' Apostle (2)
Chapter 1388 404: Chaos' Apostle (2)
Despair instantly engulfed Anjie.
In her vision, only those silent, wide-mouthed monsters remained, stumbling closer and closer to her...
"Ahhh!!!" Anjie let out a frenzied scream, like a deflated balloon, helpless except for yelling and rolling around.
Just as the group of Wailings was about to silently surround her, a corrosion deeper than pure darkness found her first, reaching straight into her soul.
Generally speaking—
Chaos rarely chooses waste as its pawn.
But Avallo was an exception.
A waste with no sense of self in their mind, after the collapse or so-called disillusionment of their sole belief, becomes the perfect puppet for the chosen "Dominator"!
She would become a "fanatic"!
And obey the manipulating Dominator's every command, until the last ember of her life and soul was extinguished.
Anjie, collapsed on the ground, suddenly stiffened, her eyes rolling back, the last spark in her pupils completely dissipating, making her resemble a puppet drained of its soul.
Next, her slightly plump body swelled madly at an incredible speed, her flesh and bones making an agonizing creaking sound!
In an instant, a bloated and deformed Flesh Giant nearly filled half the corridor, its fat-laden neck resembling a giant worm.
'Do you know why you are in such pain?'
'Because of betrayal!"
"The kind-hearted and harmless Miss Anjie trusted her master so completely, yet her master coldly and heartlessly betrayed her trust.'
'Now, go and seek revenge.'
'In my name—'
'Upon everyone!'
Hatred surged like a tide, completely drowning the last shred of sanity in Anjie's heart. She thought of Ilana, who stole her opportunities with her beauty, Colin, who looked at her lecherously, the infamous Professor Hector, and Master Merk, who deliberately tripped her up to get her attention.
Of course—
What angered her even more was Lassitina.
Despite having sacrificed all her dignity for Miss Lassitina, when faced with danger, Lassitina pushed her into the nightmare Abyss without a moment's hesitation.
If she had no power, she would probably endure it forever, or vent this evil frustration on weaker underclassmen.
But unfortunately—
The Evil Spirit from the Outer Realm set its sights on her, and now she had become formidable, confident even in knocking Colin down with a punch—although she wouldn't waste it like that.
The reborn Anjie gazed contently at her swollen and powerful body, shaking off the slime and aiming her eyes toward the nearby corridor.
That was the direction Lassitina had fled.
She grinned savagely, pushing past the surrounding, fearful Wailings, and took heavy steps, pursuing in Lassitina's direction.
"What an ugly thing." Arist, silent in the darkness, squinted his eyes slightly as he looked at his creation, but a trace of disdain flickered through his eyes.
The gray mist floating beside him merely chuckled, speaking leisurely.
"The Power of Faith was perfectly injected and transformed into Strength, elevating a waste to Silver Level in one go… isn't that quite perfect?"
Arist snorted coldly without speaking, only fixating his gaze on Ophelia, who was returning, with a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
So be it—
His purpose was simply to kill by proxy, so let this fat pig cause havoc and take all the blame before dying.
"Roar—!"
A deafening roar reverberated through the corridors of the Maze, like a mad wild boar.
"What the hell is that!"
Lassitina's follower turned to see the pursuing Flesh Giant and was scared out of their wits, screaming as they cast several spells.
However, the Fireballs and Wind Blades hitting the monster's body were like small stones thrown into a mud puddle, merely stirring a few ripples.
The creature grinned, indifferent, and with a casual sweep of its fan-sized hand, the violent palm wind easily swatted away the fragile magic, incidentally sending a female wizard flying like a broken doll, crashing into a wall and losing consciousness.
"Die, monster!" Seizing the momentary pause in its actions, another female wizard shouted angrily, and hurled out a Magic Scroll tied at her waist.
Golden light formed a net in mid-air, and as a golden Holy Sword was about to take shape, it was extinguished by a glob of flying poisonous phlegm.
"Sss—!"
The corrosive acid drenched the female wizard, and she screamed, covering her face, yet the more she rubbed, the worse it became. Before long, her face transformed into a blood-red skull.
Licking her lips with her tongue, Anjie let out an excited laugh, as if avenging a great vendetta. Then she looked toward Lassitina, striding purposefully forward, her two round pupils flickering with a thirst for blood and revenge.
"Don't come any closer!" Lassitina was utterly panicked, screaming as she waved her Magic Wand, but before she could finish chanting the Spell, a massive force struck her abdomen, smashing through the Barrier set by the Silver Level Magic Accessories with destructive force!
"Crack—!"
The sound of the Barrier shattering echoed!
Punched in the abdomen, Lassitina's eyes widened, her eyeballs nearly popping out, and she spat blood, flying out and slamming against a distant wall.
"Boom—!"
Every inch of air in her lungs was squeezed out; Lassitina felt as though her organs were misaligned, and the metallic taste of blood bubbled from the corner of her mouth.
"Hehehe…" The creature emitted a chilling laugh, deliberately slowing its pace, as it gradually approached her.
