Ling Feng became more interested upon hearing this and then continued, "Then you might as well tell me, I brought Fei’er here just to find out what’s happening to the north!"

"Oh."

Yang Guang nodded and continued, "About ten kilometers to the north, there’s an underground nest filled with poisonous snakes, numbering in the tens of thousands. The stench I smelled was the scent of these snakes!"

Ling Feng was dumbfounded.

After a moment of blankness, he couldn’t help but ask, "What’s going on? Aren’t snakes supposed to hibernate in winter?"

Miao Lanlan directly collapsed onto the sofa with her legs turning soft, "More than ten thousand?"

"Yes, all venomous types!" Yang Guang nodded.

"Oh my god, just the thought makes my scalp tingle, are you really going to take a look?" Miao Lanlan looked up at Ling Feng and asked nervously.

Ling Feng nodded, "Precisely because there are so many, I find it strange. A usual snake den might have three or five snakes, but having so many gathered here, something must be wrong!"

The white clothes blended with the color of the snow, becoming invisible from a distance.

After entering the wilderness, they quickly reached the border area.

A single barbed-wire, and the land belonged to another country.

Stepping onto foreign soil, Ling Feng felt nothing, pulling Li Fei’er’s hand, "Dressed like this, it’s impossible for me to carry you while running, let’s walk side by side!"

"Uncle, don’t underestimate me, even though I’m not as fast as you, I’m not slow either!"

It was like a cellar, covered by a thick iron plate over a square hole, with dust covering it, barely noticeable without closer inspection.

Ling Feng and Li Fei’er entered the house, which had neither windows nor door frames, and lifted the iron plate!

A pungent stench immediately assailed their senses!

Frowning, Ling Feng’s Divine Sense detected an underground passage below, winding and twisting; his Divine Sense couldn’t directly penetrate to the end.

Helplessly, he said to Li Fei’er, "Looks like we have to go down and take a look!"

"The entrance is large enough; if it were too narrow, I wouldn’t want to go down, it would dirty my clothes!"

Li Fei’er said, then asked, "Do you go first, or should I?"

Pointing with a small hand, Ling Feng immediately looked in that direction.

On the other side of the space, in the corner, stood a statue with the body of a human and a snake’s tail!

The statue was over three meters tall, entirely black, seemingly made of some kind of metal!

Atop its head, a red stone glowed, dazzling especially under the flashlight!

Seeing it, Ling Feng smacked his lips and laughed bitterly, "The thing might be a treasure, but we can’t get to it!"
