Chapter 1354: Just Do Good Deeds

Chapter 1354: Just Do Good Deeds

Ling Feng chuckled and, not knowing what Han Wancheng was referring to, asked with a smile, "What’s up, boss? Not happy?"

"I can’t be happy!"

Han Wancheng said, then angrily added, "I warned you not to make things too big, but you just had to go and admit your identity!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng furrowed his brow in surprise and asked, "What’s going on, Director Han? Where did you hear this from?"

"The Dongying officials have already issued a stern protest to us, demanding to hand you over, or else they will consider your actions as an act of war!"

Hearing the solemn tone in Han Wancheng’s voice, Ling Feng felt a pang of anxiety. He quickly recalled the events in the Ryukyu Mountains where there should have been no survivors, so how was his identity exposed?

As he was pondering, Han Wancheng asked, "What? Are you scared?"

"How could I be?"

Ling Feng smiled, "If the top decides to hand me over to the Dongying people, that’s fine, I’m just afraid they can’t handle the consequences. I alone can cause them heavy losses and have them in a trembling mess!"

"Hmm, I believe you have that capability!"

Han Wancheng nodded on the other side, then said, "But don’t think we’re that weak; we definitely won’t agree to the Dongying’s demands!"

"Oh."

Ling Feng smiled and continued, "So how do we respond to them?"

Han Wancheng chuckled, "We sent the photos you took over, and they immediately went silent!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was taken aback, "Is that so?"

"Yes, we didn’t expect the other side to react this way. It’s obvious they know that once the bioman issue is exposed, the whole world will blame them!" Han Wancheng laughed.

Ling Feng had nothing to say upon hearing this and then complained, "Boss, you’re not being fair. You solved it and still came to question me!"

"Just wanted to see your attitude!"

Han Wancheng said, then continued, "By the way, you handled this issue without enough caution, nearly causing significant diplomatic trouble, so we’ll call it even, no celebration for you!"

"That’s fine, I have no objections, and I didn’t care for those empty honors anyway!"

Ling Feng smiled and then asked, "Boss, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now?"

"Sure, go on with your work!" Han Wancheng said.

Knowing he indeed didn’t know about the hundred billion US Dollar incident, Ling Feng raised an eyebrow, chuckled, and hung up the phone.

Afterwards, he teleported to Harbor Island and went directly to Zheng Yitong’s neighboring house.

But unfortunately, only Aunt Xue was home, with Chen Murong and her daughter not being there.

Seeing Ling Feng’s arrival, Aunt Xue warmly welcomed him into the house.

After asking around, Ling Feng found out that Zheng Yitong had gone to participate in a TV station program, while Chen Murong was at the company, and the mother and daughter wouldn’t be back until the evening.

Realizing he had to wait two or three hours, Ling Feng could only smile, "Then I won’t disturb you for now, and I’ll talk to them when they’re back!"

"If Mr. Ling has something urgent, I could call Murong for you. She instructed that if you came, special arrangements could be made!" Aunt Xue said.

Ling Feng was about to leave, but hearing this, he paused and asked, "Is that suitable? Wouldn’t it disturb her normal work?"

"It won’t, don’t worry!" Aunt Xue assured him with a smile.

"Alright then, I do have something urgent to discuss with her!"

Ling Feng nodded and let Aunt Xue call Chen Murong.

Once connected, he shared his thoughts, and Chen Murong immediately said, "That’s no problem, but we’re a bit short on time today. I’ll have Lawyer Cheng go back to meet you, have a good conversation with her about your thoughts, and take you to register first thing tomorrow morning!"

"Alright, thanks to Auntie Chen!" Ling Feng said.

"You’re welcome, just wait there!"

Chen Murong smiled and hung up the phone.

Knowing someone would come back to find him, Ling Feng wasn’t in a hurry to leave, so he sat down on the sofa.

Aunt Xue brought over some tea before turning to leave, but Ling Feng quickly asked, "By the way, has your son returned yet, Aunt Xue?"

"Yes, thanks to Mr. Ling for that, I’ve been meaning to thank you!" Aunt Xue nodded.

"No need to thank me, we’re not outsiders!"

Ling Feng smiled and then asked, "Does your son have a job now?"

"He found a job unloading goods at the dock, earning over twenty thousand a month, not bad!" Aunt Xue smiled.

Ling Feng was surprised, "Unloading at the dock? That’s labor work?"

"Yes, he didn’t study much, always fooling around in the past, never learned any skills, so he has to do this!" Aunt Xue said with a wry smile.

"That’s not good."

Ling Feng thought for a moment, recognizing the limitations of manual labor.

So he continued, "How about this, I have a few friends on Harbor Island, I’ll introduce him to another job."

"Isn’t that too much trouble? Murong had said the same, but her company requires professional skills, and my son is too clumsy to learn!" Aunt Xue said with a wry smile.

"It’s okay, I’ll arrange it!"

Ling Feng said and dialed Ah Tai’s number.

Once connected, the other side asked, "Mr. Ling, what can I do for you?"

"It’s not really a command, I have someone doing manual work at the dock, and I wanted you to arrange a job for them." Ling Feng said.

"Oh, can he drive?" Ah Tai asked.

Ling Feng looked up at Aunt Xue, "Can he drive?"

But Aunt Xue shook her head, looking helpless.

"He can’t, but he can learn, can you find someone to teach him?" Ling Feng asked.

Ah Tai, understanding this person was important to Ling Feng, nodded, "Sure, if he’s willing to learn, even if it’s flying a plane, I can find someone to teach him!"

"That’s fine, I’ll let him contact you later!"

Ling Feng said, then hung up the phone.

Aunt Xue gratefully took the phone with Ah Tai’s number recorded and hurried to call her son.

Ling Feng sat on the sofa, glanced out the window, and sighed lightly.

Most things in life don’t go as expected; how many can I really help?

He’s not some kind of savior, nor does he plan to save everyone in trouble, but he can’t help reaching out when he sees someone in need.

Half an hour later, a white BMW drove into the courtyard, and a woman in a business suit and black-rimmed glasses stepped out of the car.

The sound of high heels clicking, she walked into the house and looked at Ling Feng, "Are you Mr. Ling?"

"I am, and you must be Lawyer Cheng?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yes, my name is Cheng Xiao, nice to meet you!"

Cheng Xiao said expressionlessly, extending her hand.

Shaking her hand, Ling Feng felt a cool touch, furrowed his brows slightly, but said nothing.
