Chapter 1355: Far Too Casual
Chapter 1355: Far Too Casual
Cheng Xiao got straight to the point, sitting down and asking, "Mr. Ling, Mrs. Chen told me about your situation. I’m curious, what kind of company do you want to register?"
"Well, I haven’t really decided yet," Ling Feng replied.
"..."
Cheng Xiao was momentarily stunned, then calmly said, "I understand Mr. Ling is no ordinary person and certainly doesn’t follow the usual path. But if you don’t tell me what kind of business you want to do, it will be hard for me to help you."
"Oh, I know!"
Ling Feng nodded and continued, "I just want to register for now. I haven’t decided what business to do yet, but it will probably involve trading various goods, agricultural products, scarce resources, and so on!"
"I understand agriculture, but when you say ’scarce resources,’ can I take that to mean things like minerals and oil?" Cheng Xiao asked while taking notes.
Ling Feng laughed and quickly nodded, "Yes, yes, that works!"
"..."
Cheng Xiao was speechless again, thinking to herself that rich people are really different. Starting a company seems like a joke, and they haven’t even decided what business to do — it’s whatever I say?
After pondering for a moment, she continued, "If that’s the case, the product areas involved are too broad, so it’s best to register a trading company. May I know how much you’re planning to invest, Mr. Ling?"
"Ten billion US Dollars."
"Hmm?"
Cheng Xiao raised her head in shock, looking at Ling Feng seriously, thinking she might have misheard!
Typically, companies have registered capital anywhere from ten million to one billion, and that’s in Huaxia Currency — which is already enough to operate.
But Ling Feng casually mentioned ten billion US Dollars — that’s way too much?
Seeing that his expression was normal and he wasn’t joking, Cheng Xiao couldn’t help but remind him, "Mr. Ling, are you sure about such a large-scale registration?"
"I’ve thought it through, no need to overthink it. I just happen to have some spare cash," Ling Feng said casually.
"Alright then."
Cheng Xiao helplessly lowered her head to take notes.
Afterward, she looked up again, "As a company registered in Harbor Island, I need you to provide identification and proof of residence, and what would be the company’s name?"
"I’ll give you the documents in a moment. As for the name, you think of one for me, just a moment!"
Ling Feng said as he stood up and walked out the door.
Watching his back, Cheng Xiao wore an expression of speechlessness.
She thought to herself that this was truly getting stranger, registering a company and not even having a name ready?
Registering with ten billion US Dollars, and he’s letting someone else do the naming?
Ten minutes later, Ling Feng returned with the property deed and identification card.
"Mr. Ling, if you haven’t decided, I have a few options here. You can take a look."
Cheng Xiao handed over a sheet of A4 paper.
"Let’s go with this one, Ling’s International Trading Co., Ltd.!"
Ling Feng glanced over it and settled on the first option.
"Okay."
After noting it down, Cheng Xiao stood up, "That’s it for today; I’ll come find you tomorrow, and we’ll go register together."
"Alright, thanks a lot!"
Ling Feng nodded but didn’t stand up; instead, he looked at her and asked, "Miss Cheng, have you been feeling unwell lately?"
"Huh?"
Cheng Xiao was taken aback, a bit confused by the question, and then shook her head, "No, why do you ask, Mr. Ling?"
"When I shook your hand earlier, your fingers felt cold, as if there was some Yin Cold Qi in your body. Although the female constitution is yin, you’re extraordinarily cold. There must be a problem!" Ling Feng said.
"Uh, I’ve always been fine, rarely even catching colds or fevers. But thank you for your concern, Mr. Ling," Cheng Xiao replied calmly.
Ling Feng made a sound of acknowledgment, "Alright then, maybe I was overthinking it."
He then stood up, shook hands with Cheng Xiao again, "See you tomorrow then!"
"Okay!"
Cheng Xiao nodded, turned around, and drove off.
On the way back to the company, she drove and thought to herself, she’s heard that Mr. Ling is quite the philanderer, surrounded by numerous beauties. Was he just trying to flirt with me earlier?
Upon returning to the company, she first went to Chen Murong to report precisely what had happened.
After recounting everything and before leaving, Cheng Xiao couldn’t help saying, "Mrs. Chen, a task like registering a company could be completed by your assistant. Do I really need to go tomorrow?"
"Hmm? Why?"
Chen Murong didn’t think much at first, but hearing this, she became slightly puzzled.
Cheng Xiao bit her lip, "This Mr. Ling is indeed an extraordinary individual, but his personality is too frivolous. He even tried to flirt with me earlier, which made me quite uncomfortable!"
"Is that so?"
Chen Murong paused, then smiled helplessly, thinking, Ling Feng, oh Ling Feng, wherever you go, you always attract all the attention, huh?
But she was still curious and asked, "What did he say to you?"
Cheng Xiao lowered her head and repeated Ling Feng’s words.
After listening, Chen Murong actually laughed!
"Xiao Xiao, you’ve got it wrong. Ling Feng wasn’t flirting; he genuinely detected something wrong with your constitution. You probably don’t know that he started his career with a set of amazing medical skills!" Chen Murong laughed.
"Really?"
Cheng Xiao was taken aback again and then shook her head, "But what he said was too outrageous, saying I have too much Yin Cold Qi. Have you ever seen me sick?"
"That’s different. You should pay heed to what Ling Feng said; you won’t go wrong if you listen to me!" Chen Murong advised.
"Well, alright." Cheng Xiao noted her seriousness and reluctantly agreed, "I’ll ask him more about it when I see him tomorrow."
...
...
After concluding the company matters, Ling Feng directly left Harbor Island and headed to Tang Family Village via Nine Heavens.
He hadn’t been there for a few days, and the distillery expansion project was nearing its end. The barren hills on the west side of the village had been excavated to create a more than 100-acre vacant lot.
The villagers, never having seen such a big spectacle, all gathered around the intense construction site as if they were watching a large-scale performance show.
Ling Feng didn’t go onsite; he just scanned with his Divine Sense to understand the progress and went to the distillery to find Tang Xiaoqian.
The rice wine Long Xiaoyu had produced before was already very flavorful, and he wanted to see if they could now take out a batch.
The distillery was bustling; when he found Tang Xiaoqian, she immediately beamed, "Ling Feng, you came just in time. I have good news for you!"
"What good news?" Ling Feng laughed and asked.
"The first batch of rice wine has filled 500 bottles and is ready for you. There’s also a new apple wine that you must try!" Tang Xiaoqian said.
"Great, let’s go!"
Ling Feng laughed, grabbed her hand, and entered the wine storage cave.
There was only one lamp here, but due to spatial order issues, every place was brightly illuminated.
Tang Xiaoqian quickly stepped forward to a huge wooden barrel, opened the valve, and poured a cup of dark red apple wine, "It was brewed three days ago; give it a taste."
