The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy!

Chapter 830: Quickly Out Of Hand

Chapter 830: Quickly Out Of Hand

Months later...

The Bennet family home was packed with countless vehicles making their way into the driveway. Butler Jen, who had already retired but was still living in the mansion, wore his usual butler attire and stood in front of the house to welcome the guests.

How could he miss this?

"Butler Jen?" Slater gasped as he stopped in his tracks, a hand clasped dramatically across his chest.

It was as though seeing the old man, whose hair had now blanched but who still maintained an upright posture, brought back countless memories.

"Did you come back because you knew I’d come today?" Slater asked in shock.

James, Slater’s manager, turned to him with a plain expression.

"Slater, tonight’s barbecue party is about your first sister’s gender reveal," said James. "Give Butler Jen a break."

But Butler Jen kept his smile and nodded. "Yes, Third Young Master. Have you eaten?"

"Butler Jen~!" Slater wept as he jumped forward, hugging the old man while James shook his head.

"This is why he’s spoiled," James mumbled. "Everyone spoils him — even Butler Jen."

"Shouldn’t you blame yourself as well?"

James raised his brows as he turned, only to see Nina and Finn near them. Nina chuckled as she approached and bowed slightly to the head butler.

Then Finn shifted his gaze to James. "You’re the number one person who enables him."

"No way!" James harrumphed, but Finn just laughed while Nina pinched her husband’s side to stop him from stressing the already stressed-out manager.

As for Slater, he rubbed his cheek against Butler Jen’s cheek, and then suddenly stopped.

"Butler Jen," he called, his voice turning serious as he drew his head back. "Where’s Penny?"

Butler Jen smiled. "Miss Penny arrived hours ago—"

He stopped when Slater dashed away.

"That little thief! I knew it!" Slater shouted as he fumed, rushing inside. "That’s why she was rushing earlier, isn’t she?! PENNY! I’m going to catch you today!"

As Slater dashed away, yelling Penny’s name and making the lively home shake, the bodyguards around quietly radioed.

"Sir Slater caught on," one voice echoed in their earpiece. "Mission busted — tell Miss Penny to retreat."

"No, buy some time. Distract him."

"Target heading to the dirty kitchen."

Finn, Nina, and James watched as the guards, who were seemingly just around to guard the place, quietly moved in a direction.

Nina and James shook their heads.

"Isn’t this a little too much?" James wondered. "How could they deploy all these guards just for this so-called mission? How childish."

"Are Slater’s snacks really that good?" Finn wondered. "I’ve been part of this family for a long time, but that’s still a mystery to me."

When his eyes landed on his wife and James, they nodded. Even Butler Jen nodded once.

Finn’s face twitched a little. "Penny shared them with you?"

"Slater’s snacks are really good," James muttered quietly, as if it were a secret. "I don’t even know how he gets them or where he gets his supply. But everything in that safe? Heaven."

"Maybe because Third Brother is a celebrity and undergoes strict diets whenever he’s working on a project, that he just finds the best snacks out there for his cheat days," Nina shrugged, only to tilt her head. "Wait. Honey, didn’t Penny share them with you at least once?"

Finn smiled until his eyes squinted, gently removing Nina’s arm from his.

"Sweetheart, I just remembered something I need to do. I’ll be back very quickly."

The moment he turned, his eyes glinted sharply as if this were war. Then he marched inside.

"Forgot something? Inside?" James blurted out. "Wow. He really felt left out, huh?"

Nina just chuckled, keeping her eyes on her husband’s back.

Surely, her husband had changed. From how she remembered him, he was simply mature and always so composed. But the longer they stayed married, the more her siblings influenced him.

"Let him be," she chuckled as she faced James. "If anything, I’m curious to see whose side he’ll take. Will he be Penny’s ally, or Third Brother’s?"

James chuckled as he offered his arm to her, which she happily took. But before they walked off, Butler Jen asked,

"Should we put a bet on that?"

Nina and James’s brows rose at the head butler. Then they exchanged looks, their mouths slowly stretching wider.

"I guess we’ll have something to bet on tonight!" Nina announced, and James nodded.

"I’ll tell the others, Miss Nina. You tell the women."

"Mhm!"

With that, the duo happily walked into the residence with this new bet in mind. Penny often started bets and usually bet on other people’s situations. Be it how many days Nina and Finn’s misunderstandings lasted, how long James could bottle things up before coming to Allison to vent, whether Hugo would come back alive or not, how many fish Charles would catch, and everything else!

And since Penny usually placed bets on every situation in life, those who heard about this happily participated. Even the house helpers and the guards from Zoren’s, Penny’s, and the Order’s sides joined in. Even the Phantom Circle, who were staying in the shadows, had their own small betting pools.

Meanwhile, Penny, who had no idea what was happening, opened a small safe hidden in the dirty kitchen. She peeked inside, her eyes twinkling. Then four little heads squeezed in beside her.

Just like their mother, the quadruplets’ eyes twinkled.

"Wah..." the children were in awe, almost drooling like their mother.

Zoren, their lookout, stayed by the door with his arms crossed. He glanced at his wife and children, who had their black full-head masks resting on top of their heads. He shook his head, only to pause when he heard voices in his earpiece.

"Third Brother caught on."

He peeled his back off the doorjamb and rushed to them. "We have to leave."

Like little thieves, Penny quickly scooped the golden snacks while her children held the trash bags open. Once done, Zoren scooped up two children while another jumped onto his back. Penny carried one, and they hurried off, laughing like they had just pulled the greatest family heist.

As they rushed away, Charles, Draken, Haines, and Atlas, who were in the backyard, watched the little snack thieves.

"Damn it. Here they go again!" Charles clicked his tongue, huffing and shaking his head. "I didn’t see anything."

He turned to the other men, only to see them looking back at him innocently.

"What was it?" they all asked in unison, making Charles’s face twitch. "See what?"

He understood Atlas and Haines, but Draken had surely acclimated himself to this family.

Just then, Atlas felt his phone ping and checked it.

"There’s a betting poll," he announced quietly as he faced the men, showing them the official betting pool that Yugi and Pika seemed to have established online so quickly. "Should I bet?"

Just as Atlas asked that, he noticed that Charles, Draken, and Haines were already on their phones, topping up their accounts to place large bets over something so petty.

Atlas chuckled faintly, shaking his head. His smile froze when he noticed the betting pool had just jumped from a few hundred bucks to... millions.

"Hah." He rocked his head. "This is interesting."

Then he proceeded to add a higher bet, doubling it.

But Atlas wasn’t the only one whose pride was sky high. Their guests, after all, consisted of the leaders of the secret societies: Draken, Marceline, and Henrik.

And if there was anything they hated, it was being ranked lower than the others.

Thus, things quickly got out of hand.
