"How can we do that? You’ve helped us so much already; how could we shamelessly eat and live at your expense?" Before Guoguo could speak, Tangtang stood up first, with a disapproving expression.

"What are you thinking? I wouldn’t let you stay here for free. I’m often home alone, and I also have someone come by to clean, and I order takeout for meals. With you two living here, you can handle the household cleaning and cooking as rent." Xu Ke suggested.

"This time, don’t refuse. The money isn’t just for you; it’s for anyone. It doesn’t matter to me who it’s for." Seeing the sisters’ hesitant expressions, Xu Ke said.

When the sisters heard this, gratitude appeared on their faces, as if they were looking at a benefactor of legendary generosity.

Even though Xu Ke said it didn’t matter to him who received the money, and even though he included them in chores, the sisters knew it was different; Xu Ke was looking out for them.

"That’s great. Here are the house keys. I’ll be heading to work now." Xu Ke said with a smile.

Leaving the house, Xu Ke headed straight to the casino. Even though it was daytime, the casino was brightly lit, bustling with people and filled with a cacophony of sounds, creating a particularly noisy scene.

Though it was Xu Ke’s first visit, no one dared cause trouble because of Brother Xiong’s orders. Xu Ke successfully reached the top floor of the casino.

"Starting today, I am the person in charge of the casino. I hope we can collaborate well in the days ahead as you hand over all matters to me." Xu Ke said to the already gathered group in the room.

"We don’t mind handing over matters to you; Brother Xiong spoke for you, but you should show us your abilities. Otherwise, how can we respect you?" someone said.

Following the voice, Xu Ke saw a punk with bleached blonde hair, smoky makeup, and metal adornments all over.

"Brother Xiong acknowledging me and placing me here means I have the ability. Whether you acknowledge me or not, does it matter if Brother Xiong already has? I don’t need your heartfelt respect or acknowledgment; I only need your compliance." Xu Ke said with a smile.

"This isn’t just for you but for everyone present. Even if you don’t say it, I know you don’t respect me, but that doesn’t matter. Your thoughts are unimportant to me. If you comply, you can stay in your current positions, but if not, I can easily replace you with people loyal to me." Xu Ke said to everyone.

Their faces displayed an array of emotions. They had planned to give Xu Ke a hard time but hadn’t expected his response. He turned the tables on them.

He didn’t play by the usual rules.

Usually, during a first meeting, someone wouldn’t claim the subordinates were unimportant and even openly threaten them.

Someone looked at Xu Ke with displeasure, "Aren’t you afraid we’ll sideline you?"

"Hasn’t that always been your intention? Even if I hadn’t said anything, weren’t you planning that anyway?" Xu Ke retorted.

Xu Ke’s expression hardened, his demeanor changing instantly. Standing there, he was like an iceberg, lowering the conference room’s temperature by ten degrees. Despite the oppressive heat, it sent chills through them.

Xu Ke’s forehead was exposed today, along with his sharp brows and eyes. They resembled fierce swords capable of easily cutting through defenses.

Their breaths caught as they examined Xu Ke, their gazes steely and grave.
