Xu Ke faced He Chen’s nearly ferocious gaze and spoke every word he wanted to say.

"What are you trying to express by telling me this? I’m He Qing’s brother. We’ve grown up together, our relationship closer than with parents. I know all her preferences, likes, and dislikes. The choice I give her is the best. You, an outsider who knows nothing, shouldn’t pretend to be a philosopher, lecturing me about these grand principles."

After speaking, He Chen turned to leave, but Xu Ke’s voice suddenly sounded again. "If you think I’m wrong, then why so nervously rush off? Leaving only proves you agree with me, that you think I’m right, and that you’re feeling guilty." Xu Ke’s light voice echoed behind He Chen.
