Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 924 - 923: Owing Another Favor

Chapter 924 - 923: Owing Another Favor

Xu Ke saw that the other party didn’t believe him at all, yet he wasn’t angry. He simply looked at the other person with an expression of extreme pity, as if the other was a fool.

Xu Ke sighed deeply, feeling a bit distressed that even when he spoke the truth, the other person wouldn’t believe him.

"Stop looking at me with those eyes. Are you leaving or not? If you don’t leave, don’t blame me for being rude!" The man’s expression as he looked at Xu Ke, this kind of mocking eyes as if looking at a clown, really angered him. He couldn’t control his impulse to want to punch this annoying face in front of him, making it disappear from his sight completely.

"Don’t be polite with me, hurry up. I’ll let you strike first, but if you’re going to make a move, do it quickly. I’m in a hurry, and if the food gets cold, it won’t taste good. Waiting in line to buy these things really wastes time," Xu Ke said, this blatant disregard directly infuriating the man.

In everyday life, he was just an ordinary person without much success, only finding a sense of presence by bullying these women he had hurt. Seeking this superior demeanor, Xu Ke’s gaze seemed to shatter his omnipotent false image, dragging him back to reality from his dream.

This time, the man was no longer polite to Xu Ke. He raised his fist, as large as a clay pot, and swung it towards Xu Ke’s face, with a stance as if trying to smash Xu Ke’s face like a sandbag.

But his movements were really too slow for Xu Ke. Not only slow, but the force was also like a child’s play for Xu Ke. Xu Ke simply blocked with his hand, preventing the man from advancing even a step further.

This fact was a slap in the face because Xu Ke kicking the door had made such a noise that the other guests in the rooms couldn’t help but come out to see what was happening. Although there weren’t many bystanders in the hallway, it was enough to make the man feel embarrassed and unable to back down.

With his hand restrained by Xu Ke, he could do nothing, but he still had his feet. Seeing he couldn’t free his hand, the man directly kicked towards Xu Ke, aiming for Xu Ke’s knee.

He had seen it on TV, in many movies, people would kneel down after getting kicked to the knee. Now he wanted the other to kneel before him.

But the ideal was grand while the reality was harsh.

The man’s leg hadn’t even reached Xu Ke’s knee when he met Xu Ke’s kick. This strike immediately numbed his entire leg, and getting caught in two moves by the opponent’s light dodges made the man’s already bad mindset collapse.

But all this was just the beginning, not the end.

Since clear confrontation didn’t work, he thought of playing dirty tricks. Just as he was thinking of a way to trap Xu Ke, Xu Ke kicked his knee, completing the action he had just failed.

"Isn’t this what you wanted to do to me just now? How about what I did now? Did I pass?"

The man half kneeled on the ground, and Xu Ke lifted his restrained hand forcefully, twisting it abruptly. With a crack, the man’s arm was completely dislocated, dangling unnaturally by his side.

The man couldn’t bear such sudden pain and roared loudly. Lying on the bed, He Qing heard the pitiful cries without knowing how they ended up fighting, yet felt delighted inside, as the stifling anger in her chest dissipated a lot, making her look significantly better.

"Shut up, you’re too noisy." Xu Ke said as he dug his ear with a finger, looking at the man.

The man, noticing Xu Ke’s ear-digging, screamed even louder instead of stopping.

Though the man didn’t speak, Xu Ke easily read his thoughts through his expression, thinking since he had lost face and dignity, he wouldn’t maintain his image and wanted to ensure Xu Ke wouldn’t have peace either.

The man’s thoughts were straightforward enough to guess.

Seeing the man getting more excited, without intending to stop, Xu Ke frowned, feeling extremely impatient.

In front of everyone, without a word, he dislocated the man’s jaw, forcing him to shut up.

Drool quickly trickled from the man’s mouth, making him look extremely disgusting. Xu Ke shook his hand in disdain, intending to get past the man and go to He Qing on the bed.

Yet, during this moment, the man grabbed Xu Ke’s leg.

"What? Don’t want your last arm either?" Xu Ke looked down at the arm hugging his leg, smirked coldly, and asked.

"You’re too domineering! You injured him and are still trying to take his girlfriend. I could call the police on you for this," someone from the crowd of onlookers who had been watching couldn’t help but stand up and shout at Xu Ke.

"Call the police?" Xu Ke turned to the speaker’s direction, and with a mere glance, made the person step back in fear.

But keeping up the courage, the person said to Xu Ke, "Yes, if you do something excessive, I’ll call the police right away. What you’re doing is illegal. Take this chance and leave, or when the police come, it’ll be too late to say anything."

"I appreciate the concern, but without understanding the facts, don’t jump to conclusions. If you want to call the police, I’m not stopping you. In fact, I was planning to call the police myself," Xu Ke fully turned to face the person.

"The one on the bed isn’t his girlfriend but my friend. My friend was drugged and brought here by him, and I happened to catch up. Luckily, I arrived in time, preventing any harm to her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be having this bit of luck now," Xu Ke said, his face completely cold as he looked at the man on the ground with an unreadable expression.

The enthusiastic bystander hadn’t expected things to turn out like this, showing a guilty expression.

Seeing his helpful bystander about to turn on him, the man frantically shook his head, denying the accusations Xu Ke made.

He opened his mouth and waved his only remaining hand desperately, drool trickling down, forming a thin silver line in the air, making him appear especially pitiful.

The bystanders’ hearts swayed once again, their eyes switching between Xu Ke and the man, uncertain whom to believe.

Thus, the once helpful bystander spoke again.

"We can’t tell who’s telling the truth between you two. In that case, neither of you should leave. I’ll call the police to let them decide; we won’t get involved in this matter."
