Chapter 922 - 921: Accident
"Alright, then let’s consider our bet begun. Let it be clear, no one is allowed to interfere in his matters with the He Family, neither promoting nor obstructing it. The one who breaks the rule is directly deemed the loser," the tattooed man announced his game rules.
"Any objections?"
The group shook their heads, signaling their agreement.
"Now we can place our bets," seeing no opposition, the tattooed man said excitedly.
No one outside knew what was happening inside that private room, everything proceeded secretly and orderly.
Time flew by, and in a matter of days, Xu Ke’s day off arrived. Dressed in his casual clothes and carrying a snack in his hand, he leisurely strolled down the street, sightseeing around the city.
At a sudden glance, Xu Ke seemed to spot He Qing being helped out of a car by a stranger and entering an inconspicuous little hotel by the roadside.
Xu Ke frowned slightly. Knowing He Qing, she’d never go to such a shabby hotel, let alone with such an ordinary-looking stranger.
Glancing at the hotel’s name, Xu Ke crossed the street, carrying his snack, and followed them inside.
Meanwhile, He Qing, being supported, was utterly weak, lacking the strength to react. Although her mind was clear, she couldn’t move a muscle.
She understood clearly where she was being taken and what would happen next, but she couldn’t speak or move, only able to passively endure, wishing she were completely unconscious, knowing nothing.
He Qing was terrified of what would happen next, but there was no way to attempt to save herself. Tears slipped from the corners of her eyes.
Her eyes were bloodshot, filled with deep-seated hate.
This revenge, she must exact it no matter what.
The man, supporting He Qing, checked them into a room. The hotel owner seemed indifferent to such occurrences, watching a stranger assist a disabled woman without a single inquiry. After the man paid for the room, he handed over a key.
The man wore a sinister smile and led He Qing upstairs.
He never imagined he’d get so lucky today, able to charm such a perfect catch. Heaven indeed hadn’t treated him poorly, and he intended to thoroughly enjoy it.
Ideally, he could even take some photos to remember this day with the little beauty.
The man’s little schemes played out one after another in his mind, even revealing a few looks of appetite.
Shortly after the man’s figure vanished, Xu Ke entered the hotel.
"A man just helped a woman in here, which room are they in?" Xu Ke asked the fan-waving owner.
The owner glanced at Xu Ke dismissively, saying, "This is a guests’ private information, I’m not at liberty to reveal it."
The owner spoke refusal, but what kind of person was Xu Ke? He knew exactly what the owner wanted.
Xu Ke drew a few notes from his wallet, placing them before the owner.
"What did you just say? I couldn’t quite hear, could you repeat it?" Xu Ke asked with a smile.
This time, the owner’s eyes stayed fixed on the cash covering the counter, a smile leaking onto their face.
"First room on the left on the second floor," the owner said, pulling the money toward themselves with a flick of the fan, without raising their head.
"Thanks, give me a room key." Xu Ke pulled out more cash from his wallet, placing it before the owner.
This time, the owner didn’t take it, showing a trace of regret, "There’s only one key, and it’s been taken."
Hearing this, Xu Ke didn’t show any disappointment.
"In that case, consider this money as repair fees," Xu Ke said indifferently, turning to head upstairs.
In the room, the man threw He Qing onto the bed, the stiff mattress leaving her dizzy as though she’d been slammed onto hard ground, her tears flowed.
She’d never suffered such humiliation before. The person before her, once the drug’s effect wore off, she’d make sure to strip and flay him, let him suffer a fate worse than death.
He Qing glared at the man viciously, her gaze piercing, unbefitting her appearance, making his heart tremble, a fear rising inside.
Yet, driven by lust, he swiftly suppressed this emotion, turning to admire He Qing’s beauty.
"I wonder what great luck I had today, meeting such a beautiful woman like you, it really is fortunate." The man sighed.
"Rest assured, I’ll make sure you feel very comfortable, won’t disappoint you."
Seeing the lustful look in his eyes, He Qing felt nauseated, hatred filling her eyes. She wished her glare could deter him.
But such looks were too familiar to him; many women he’d mesmerized showed this expression initially. Yet soon enough, given a taste of pleasure, they’d become his pawns, devoid of their own thoughts, mere dolls under his control.
Yet, compared to He Qing, those others were far too ordinary. Bored quickly, he switched targets often.
But now having seen He Qing, with her like a gem before him, he thought he wouldn’t seek new prey for a long time.
Even if one day he tired of her, he wouldn’t be willing to hand over such beauty to anyone else; he’d preserve her carefully.
"Darling, don’t glare at me like that. I know you’re mad at me for acquiring you this way, but fear not, later on, I’ll take some pictures, and please you, soon you’ll cease hating me. Might even silently call me darling," he said, obsessed with her face.
He Qing understood his meaning instantly, her eyes widening, incredulous he’d entertain such thoughts.
Her gaze toward him was nearly bleeding.
"Don’t give me that look; the more you see me like this, the more it excites me."
Hearing his words, He Qing’s stomach turned in disgust; she closed her eyes, yet couldn’t suppress her inner rage.
"Good girl, let me shower before meeting you again. I’ll give you a splendid night, believe me, alright?" The man said, kissing her hand’s back.
He thought his actions gentlemanly; mind you, towards previous women before He Qing, he had much less patience, not even considering showering.
But He Qing felt none of his supposed kindness, only extreme disgust, mentally crying out for help, wishing someone could heed her call and save her. Yet such hope seemed minuscule, akin to witnessing a meteor shower during daylight.
