Chapter 345: Repercussion
Chapter 345: Repercussion
Mona and Caleb’s eyes widened in surprise. "What did you do?" Mona asked, turning toward Stella and was hit by another surprise.
"Arghh!" Stella grunted in a higher-pitched voice. "I hate this power."
Caleb turned to look at her, stunned. "Sister Stella, you... you’re even younger now."
"I know," Stella said, feeling her loose clothes. She quickly transformed them to fit her smaller body. "How old do I look now?"
"14? 15 maybe," Mona said. "Did you lose your memory too?"
"No, I kept my memory," Stella said. "I can’t afford to lose that right now. I only paid my years as the price and this is what happened."
Another 3 or 4 years had been taken off Stella’s age. She was young once again.
"You bitch!" the Nova cried from the other side. "What the fuck is this? Get me out of this!"
Stella looked back at the Super Nova and smiled. "That is an indestructible bubble made specifically for you. There is nothing you can do to get out of there. No matter how strong your punch is, or how fast you are. You cannot get out of there."
"You bitch!" the woman shouted and lunged forward. She immediately crossed the length of the room, arriving at the other side. She had launched herself a little too strongly.
"Oops, we’ve trapped her, but that won’t kill her," Stella said.
She turned to look at the group of stunned men and women who were looking at the nova. She immediately created an acid over their heads, letting it rain on them.
The shield they had did nothing to stop them at all.
Stella then turned to the side and looked at the woman who was trying to make her way toward them.
Instantly, she filled the inside of that bubble with acid as well, not only hurting her but drowning her in it.
Both Caleb and Mona were horrified at the sight of what Stella had done. It took them a bit to remember that they were in the presence of a Nova here. They couldn’t forget how strong she was at all.
"She’s not dead," Caleb said, looking back at the woman in the bubble.
"You said she had super regenerative powers, did you not?" Mona asked. "I doubt she will die that easily then."
Caleb nodded. "We don’t know much about her powers besides what the AI had. We need to be careful still. Can anyone get her out of that?"
"Don’t believe so," Stella said. "At least not naturally. But..."
"But what?" Caleb asked.
"These people, they teleported inside the building somehow, right? If they could use that person again... they could teleport her out of that barrier."
Caleb frowned. "The Space Nova," he said slowly.
"Who?" both Mona and Stella asked.
"The Space Nova. A man with the power to control space itself, and manipulate it to his will. He was most likely the one that sent so many people inside like this."
Stella and Mona nodded. "Then we have to hope they can’t find her," Stella. "Let us go now."
The three of them left the underground floor, slowly making their way up the stairway while fighting a few people along the way.
Mona seemed tired by the end of it. She had been somewhat tired from the training itself, but then she had expended so much of her power to fight the others. By now, she had run out of Soul Energy and was feeling tired.
They arrived at the topmost underground floor, feeling the heat from above them, radiating down below.
"What is happening?" Stella asked, confused. The head was way too abnormal.
"Emilia Fireheart," Caleb said slowly. "The Fire Nova. She is here in the building too and has turned the lobby into a pool of lava. The last I remember seeing before coming down here was that Gray was fighting her. I cannot be certain if they are still fighting or not."
"Is the entire building under attack?" Stella asked, surprised.
"Everyone," Caleb said. "They launched an EMP attack first to get rid of our power and communications and then sent people inside to fight us."
"We need to go help those who we can," Mona said. She breathed roughly, quite tired from walking all those stairs. And since the lifts weren’t working, she still had to climb up the stairs again.
"You were fixing the power to the building, weren’t you?" Mona asked. "Let’s go do that."
Caleb’s eyes widened slightly. "Yes, let’s go do that," he said excitedly.
Stella turned to look at the two. "Didn’t she destroy the replacement down there?" she asked. "Are there more in reserve?"
"No, it’s all destroyed," Caleb said. "But we don’t need that. We have you who can create new ones."
Stella quickly shook her head. "I need to know how something works to create any existing object. The only thing I don’t need to know about are things that don’t exist."
"That’s alright," Caleb said. "I’ll teach you how they work. You can rely on me!."
Stella nodded slowly, still not entirely sure. They arrived at the room where the machines let out dark smoke. They had already been half-disassembled when the people here were attacked.
Mona moved to look at Hank, whose corpse lay at the base. She could feel sadness over his death and prayed the others were doing fine as well.
Caleb immediately began showing Stella what she had to make, explaining each tiny component and what it did.
Stella studied diligently as she needed to learn it all before she could make the thing. Over 10 minutes passed before she had learned it in its entirety.
After that, making it was quite a simple task.
"You’re amazing, sister Stella," he said.
"You’re great yourself," she said. "How did you remember all of this? Is it because your power is tech-based?"
"Tech-based?" Caleb turned around. "Who told you my power was that?"
"Is it not?" Stella asked.
"No," Caleb said, pointing to his brain. "It’s Perfect Memory and Recall."
