Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance

Chapter 344: Super Nova

Chapter 344: Super Nova

Mona clapped, spikes of crystal jutting out to hit the woman in the chest. The woman, who had ripped through their defenses, did nothing to stop them and yet those crystals shattered into a million pieces upon hitting her chest.

The brown-haired woman simply smiled. "Those little things will do nothing. Even diamonds won’t cut through my skin."

She tore apart the rest of the cover and leaned in to grab Stella.

Stella immediately turned everything around her into water and let the water drag her away from the woman.

The woman stumbled but caught herself and smiled. She looked at Stella not away from her and asked, "Your powers are interesting. I don’t think I have seen any power that is this unique in its applications. Makes me wonder... are you a Nova?"

Stella frowned but did not answer.

"That’s alright," the woman said. "You can tell me. I am a Nova too."

Those were all they needed to hear to be stunned. "You’re... a Nova?" Mona asked. She began panicking at the thought of it being true. Her eyes widened and she breathed harder and harder.

"Mhm," the woman nodded, smiling the whole way through. "I suggest you don’t fight me. Nothing good comes out of fighting me."

Mona clapped once again, trying to attack her, but before the spike appeared, the woman disappeared, leaving behind a gust of wind. She appeared a further away where she leaned against the wall.

Stella was horrified to see that the woman hadn’t disappeared and reappeared. Instead, she had moved. How could she move so fast?

She remembered her inhuman strength to tear apart and the ability to survive the poisonous gas she had cleared by now. What exactly was she a Nova of?

"You guys are going to start pissing me off. I am only being kind because there is a Nova among you that I want under me. If you force me to kill you, I will kill you."

"I can’t fight her," Mona said softly, whispering to Stella. "We need Stanley or Gray. She is too much for us."

"Who is this Stanley and Gray?" the woman asked from the distance, hearing their words despite it being a whisper. "I know I’m supposed to let this Stanley fellow live if I find him so he can die to someone else, but I wouldn’t mind killing this gray."

Stella and Mona frowned, failing to figure out what they could do with the current situation.

The woman walked closer and closer, but halfway through her walk, she looked to the side, confused.

Just then, close to the stairway, they heard a dozen different voices coming down at once. The stairway door opened and Caleb ran out, screaming while he held something in his arms.

He ran halfway through the room before stumbling on one of the dead bodies and quickly got back up. He turned around, to look at the men that were following him and was confused to see them stop by the door.

He wondered why they had suddenly stopped.

"What is this?" a voice spoke next to him. Before he could turn to see, a hand reached out to him and lifted the things he carried.

Caleb turned around, stunned to see the woman that was standing behind her. "You..." his face paled the very next second as he realized who she was. "Super Nova."

The woman paused, looking down at Caleb. "You know who I am?" she asked.

Caleb gulped in fear. The woman slowly reached down and patted him on the head.

"Good job," she said. "Not many know who I am because I am quite new to everything. You are the first person to know who I am without me having to identify myself."

She let go of his head and looked back at the pieces of tech he was carrying. "What is this?" she asked.

Caleb slowly began moving away from her, scared.

"Miss Super, he was trying to fix their power outage with a few other people. We tried to stop them and kill the others, but he managed to run away down her."

"Oh!" the woman said. "Well, not anymore." She crushed the items, destroying them immediately.

Mona grabbed Caleb, pulling him closer to her as he crawled. "Are you alright?" she asked.

"He’s dead," Caleb said with whimpering voice.

"Who’s dead?" Mona asked.

"Hank," Caleb said. "He was trying to help me, but..."

Mona could not believe her ears at all. Hank had died? One of The 5?

"Caleb, who is she?" Stella asked. "What are her powers?"

"She? She is the Super Nova. A Linear Nova, with the power to tremendously improve her physical attributes. She can improve her strength, speed, regeneration, resistance, and so much more."

"Tsk tsk tsk. I do like it when you know who I am, but I do not like it when you reveal it to others as well. Such a naughty young boy must be punished."

She began walking toward them, one step at a time.

Mona tried to create spikes, but they did nothing.

Stella thought quickly, trying to think of the thing she could use to defeat her. But someone so strong, so resistant to almost everything, it was impossible for her to even think of what she could do.

She breathed quickly, thinking of anything she could do when a possibility struck her at that very moment.

She raised her hand forward, imagining the object she wanted to create. To defeat a Nova, she had to create an object that could not exist at all.

And there was only one thing she could think of just yet. The price, however, would be hefty.

Stella grunted and power escaped from her. It quickly flowed out of her and surrounded the Nova, instantly materializing into a transparent plastic-like sphere that covered her entirely.

The Nova paused and smiled. "You can’t just trap me so easily," she said and pushed the plastic sphere. But that did nothing.

"Huh?" She tried to do some more to destroy it but failed to do anything at all.

Only then did she realize that she had been trapped.
