Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance

Chapter 333: The Black Flood

Chapter 333: The Black Flood

Stanley managed to defeat everyone on the medical floor. The only person there that caused any trouble to him was a man who could control the clothes of others, wrapping them in them.

The main trouble was that it reduced visibility a lot, which affected his ability to stop time or reverse time for certain individuals.

The others had various powers, but none were strong enough to stop him in the smallest way.

Once Stanley defeated them all, he quickly turned toward Amy, who knelt atop a man who could do nothing but struggle. The man was completely pinned down to the floor and nothing he did helped him get out of it.

Stanley slowly moved toward her, very much confused about the entire situation. How was she so strong? Never in a million years could he have believed that Amy was strong enough to blow away ceilings with a single punch.

He arrived in front of her and found it confusing that the man beneath her was fighting hard to get away from her. How was the man still alive, let alone fighting back?

"Take care of him," Amy said.

Stanley didn’t do anything immediately. "Why not just kill him yourself?" he asked.

"I can’t," the woman said, her face twisted in anger. "The most I can do is hurt them, but even that is difficult."

Stanley frowned. "Why can’t you kill them?" he asked.

"I just can’t," Amy said. "Now will you kill him or not?"

Stanley thought for a moment and nodded. He leaned down, but instead of killing him immediately, he placed his hand on his head and looked into his past.

He saw the image of a young man next to a boulder. He saw thousands of people gathered in one spot. He saw the teleportation that brought them there. He saw...

Stanley let go of the man and looked at him. "You were with Raven!" he said. "Where is she?"

The man looked up, staring at Stanley for a while before smiling. "Hahaha! It’s you. You are here. She is finally coming to kill you."

"She is coming? Here? How?" Stanley demanded answers but there was nothing the man would say anymore. "ANSWER ME!"

The man simply grinned, his fanatic eyes staring directly at Stanley. Stanley pulled him off the ground, demanding answers, but the man did nothing but grin.

In his rage, Stanley twisted the man’s head, killing him instantly. He took deep breaths to calm himself and looked toward Amy who was staring at him with a weird look.

"What?" Stanley asked.

"Nothing," she said. She looked around next and saw that her staff were already getting to work, healing the wounded in the room. "Hurry up! There will be more wounded to get to soon."

Stanley looked at the people acting swiftly and turned back toward Amy. "Sister Amy, come with me. If we are under attack, you and I should be able to fight and defeat others."

Amy shook her head. "I cannot fight. Violence is something I cannot easily do. I will only be a hindrance," she said. "The best I can do is protect."

Stanley frowned. "But you are so strong, perhaps stronger than anyone I have seen before."

"I am strong, but I cannot help in this fight. I am bound by rules that you cannot understand," she said. "I will handle the healers here. You go and help others."

Stanley nodded. He was about to leave when he felt a soft, continuous rumble that shook the ground like an earthquake. He thought for a bit and quickly jumped, arriving outside of the giant hole in the ceiling, and landed on top ground on top.

The AAA was built into a mountain with the front gate and ceiling coming out of the mountain. So, when he was outside, he could see the massive expanse all throughout the region of Starhall, the massive city of Starhall, and now the large blot of blackness that steadily made its way up the mountain like a flood.

A flood of black creatures that Stanley could barely make out.

Ink Crawlers.

"Raven!" he thought.

The Shadow Nova was here.

Stanley’s first instinct was to run down the slope, and make his way to the incoming Ink Crawlers and defeat them all. However, his hand was empty.

’My sword is back in my room,’ he thought. He needed to go get it. Not to mention, they were under attack, and from the memory he had seen, there were thousands of people coming.

Sheila was in her room alone.

’Sheila,’ he thought. He needed to go save her. Since she was in a coma, she couldn’t protect herself. ’I need to get to her.’

If not for his sword, then for her, he couldn’t go fight the Nova just yet.

Stanley jumped down into the room and turned toward Amy. "Will you come down to help everyone?" he asked.

Amy nodded. "One floor at a time. We will need to save all those we can."

"What if they come after you?" Stanley asked.

"I can protect those who I can. Hopefully, that will be enough," Amy said. "Go defeat the ones that may come before us and have those you save go back to us. They can help us next."

Stanley nodded. "The engineering team is below us. I will go save them. They may have weapons for you guys."

Amy’s eyes widened. "Yes, go right now. They need a defender."

’Defender, huh?’ Stanley thought. ’I guess I am one.’

He turned and sprinted his way out of the room. He arrived outside next to the railing and was about to make his way to the stairway when he saw the orange glow from the bottom.

He looked down and saw a pool of Lava at the bottom. His eyes went wide in shock as he saw the damage to the room. That was a bad place to be in right now.

A woman with red hair walked through the center of the lava. Someone needed to fight her.
