Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance

Chapter 212: Cooper

Chapter 212: Cooper

"What’s his powers?" Stanley asked Sol as they went their way back to the lair. "Do you know, Sol?"

"Joshua’s? I know he can miniaturize things and make it big at will, but other than that, I don’t know much," Sol said.

"I see," Stanley said. "He must have miniaturized the things in his room. I had assumed he had hidden it in the walls."

"Yeah, that way is better for him," Sol said. "How much money do you have in that account of yours now?"

Stanley opened the app and looked. "200 credits," he said.

"Well, I’m sure you’ll get some more soon," Sol said.

Stanley almost wanted to chuckle when he heard that. ’This is already 60 more than what I left the association with,’ he thought.

He stopped by a shop to buy a few things now that he had some money. He bought some clothes, shoes, a brush, and various other things that he needed.

They returned to the lair and Nova quickly greeted them. "Come on! Look at how much we made today," she said, calling them over.

Sol and Stanley went and saw a bunch of numbers on the list. In the end, there was a single large number.

14085.

"Damn! We made 14 thousand?" Sol said with surprise.

"Woah!" Stanley couldn’t help but be surprised. ’So much? How?’

"How should we distribute it?" Nova asked. "10 grand in 4 ways with me taking the rest?"

"That works," Fred said. "I’m fine with 2500 credits for a day’s work."

"I’m more than happy to get that," Stanley said as well.

"Actually, boss. You’ll have to give me an extra 500 from there somehow. For the kid’s watch," Sol said and pointed.

"What?" Nova’s face changed a little. "But that’ll leave me with 3500!"

"That’s still more than us with 2500," Sol said.

"Urghh!" Nova grunted. "Fine! Here."

She quickly pressed a few buttons on her board and hit send once after another. When she got to Stanley, she didn’t have an account.

"Give me your account and name," Nova said.

Stanley opened his watch again and did as he was told. When she pressed send, Stanley’s watch rang from the money he received. He now had 2700 credits.

"Tiara Cooper... Cooper," Nova said with an amused look on her face when she saw the account she had just sent the money. "Why does that name feel familiar?"

"Well, I’m done with the day," Fred said. "I’m gonna go sleep now."

"I’m gonna go as well," Sol said and retreated for the night.

"You should go rest then," Nova said. "We will be hitting up more Gang spots tomorrow too. We’re gonna raise hell in this city."

"Alright," Stanley said. "I’ll look forward to it. Good night."

Stanley walked away from the room.

Nova remained in her chair, looking at the name on the screen for a moment before she closed it. She didn’t care much either way.

* * * * * *

Somewhere in the city, on top of a large building, a massive flying vehicle landed and a man walked out. He was large and had thick skin that hung from his ace.

He had a resting angry face with a black mole on his left cheek that made him look unique.

A man quickly walked out from the elevator that took them to the roof and came up to the big man with a screen in his hand.

"Here," he said. "We got the first ping from this location in the Low, and then from this."

The big man looked at the location. "What is this place?" he asked pointing at the first place.

"A store. Mostly sells clothes and body products," the other man answered. "But this other one is a building that is supposed to be empty."

"They dare not even wait for a year before they try to use my daughter’s account?" the man grumbled. "Is it still showing there?"

"Yes, it’s still active," the other man said. "Should I send the police force?"

"No," the man said as he walked into the elevator with the other man. "Police force won’t do me good here. I cannot let my involvement in the Low be found out. The police are gonna cause trouble for me."

"Then?" the other man asked.

The man closed his eyes for a moment as he remembered hearing the news of his daughter’s death. She had been in that meeting in his place. They had tried to kill him, and instead, it was his daughter that had died.

The explosion from the event had been large enough to decimate the entire block. The press had a field day at the time, and unfortunately, the man could not even go to search for his daughter’s body.

He couldn’t be seen going there.

Someone else had brought the body back secretly, in bits and when they looked for her watch, it had been missing. They went to check where it was, or what had happened to the money she had.

The first transaction from her account had happened right away, with most of her money completely stolen away.

After that, the watch had gone silent, with not a single ping from anywhere else. However, not even a year later, it had been used again.

"It must be those bastards that tried to kill me," he said. "They’re trying to lure me back, those fuckers."

"What should we do?" the other man asked.

The man thought for a bit and nodded. "Do you still have a way to contact them?" he asked.

"Contact... who?" the other man asked.

"Who do you think?" the man asked. "The Black Lake Assassins."

"Oh," the other man’s eyes narrowed. "Yes, I am certain I can get ahold of them."

"Good," the man said. "Hire them, and have them send a few to that place. Money is of no problem, just have them eradicate every single person in that building without mercy."

The other man nodded. "Is that all?" he asked.

"That’s all," the man said as the doors of the elevators opened and he walked away.

The other man stood in the elevator and bowed to the man. "As you say, Senator Cooper."
