Everyone there stood up as the Queen walked towards the makeshift throne made for her, beside her was Faylen, along with Victoria and Evelyn.
After the Queen sat, everyone else sat except the students, and Roman was surprised that it was just the three of them.
The rest of the girls weren’t here yet, he had no idea why, and turned towards Aurelia, "What happened to the rest of the girls?"
"You didn’t tell him, I saw the two of you talking" Aurelia turned to Ava.
"I forgot, Elena woke up this morning, she’s doing fine now, I think she’s well enough to watch this battle" Ava spoke and a smile formed on Roman’s face.
He was a little worried, he knew the healers would do everything in their power to make sure she recovered, at least it all worked out well.
The announcer stood at the center of the arena, at first she didn’t speak till all eyes were fixed on her and then she began.
"Today marks the final battle of the tournament, and instead of the usual one-on-one battle, the three students would battle each other at once to determine a single winner"
She paused briefly and then continued.
"Also changes would be made to the barrier surrounding their bodies, instead of a single layer, two layers would be placed, to make the battle a bit longer, and ensure there’s a clear winner" the announcer spoke.
"The final three students, Ava Firefrost, the princess Aurelia, and Roman" The announcer spoke as the three of the stepped forward and bowed in front of the Queen.
It was show time.
Aurelia was already in her armor, she had a sword and a small shield strapped to her arm, before the battle started, Roman could see she was already using Enchantments, and of course, he did the same, not that anyone noticed.
The barriers were placed on them and each of them moved away slightly creating space between themselves. This time the barrier was made even bigger taking up more space since it was accommodating three students at once.
Roman glanced at both of them, his heart beating in his chest, but it wasn’t because he was afraid, it was the opposite, he couldn’t wait to test the full strength of his abilities.
Of course, it wouldn’t be at full strength since he had to reduce the power to because of his lack of mana, but still, he could make it work.
"BEGIN!!" The announcer shouted and immediately Aurelia dashed towards Roman with breathtaking speed.
Aurelia closed the distance in seconds, her blade already ready to cut him apart. Roman barely had time to react before her sword came down.

Roman cast two fireballs in quick succession as he jumped backwards just avoiding the tip of her sword but Aurelia wasn’t fazed in the slightest as both spells hit her head on.
At the same time, Ava moved from the side, raising both hands and moving forward. [Flame Arrow]
Sharp streaks of fire shot toward him. Roman turned and cast his own.

The spells collided mid-air, bursting into heat and smoke, but Aurelia was already on him again. Her movements were faster now, her speed clearly boosted but Roman was still able to react.
Roman stepped back, sending out a [Scorch Wave] to create space. Flames spread across the arena, forcing Aurelia to pull back for a moment, but Ava answered instantly.
An icy wall rose, blocking the flames as if they were nothing, she went as far as shielding Aurelia from the attack.
Roman clicked his tongue, ’So they’re really working together, there’s no way I can beat them just using flames, but I have to get my timing right’
Aurelia rushed again and this time she did the same thing swinging her sword, but the instant Roman was about to dodge, she switched and stepped forward slamming her shield into him.

Roman felt it as he was pushed to the ground, even though he blocked his face, the force behind her strike was so strong it pushed him to the ground but Roman immediately stood up.
Ava followed up without hesitation, casting multiple spells towards Roman.
[Flame Burst, Flame Arrow, Fireball]
An explosion of fire erupted around him. Roman raised his arms, trying to hold it back, but the combined pressure was too much and the final spell sent him flying breaking the first barrier.
The crowd was pleased with the showing and the rest of the girls arrived along with Elena.
Roman staggered as he stood up, his breathing a bit heavier now. Heat burned around him, and both girls stood ready, not giving him a moment.
"You’re strong," Aurelia said, steadying her stance, "But not enough."
Roman lowered his head slightly... then chuckled, "Yeah... I figured fire alone wouldn’t cut it, but isn’t this a bit much, two on one isn’t exactly ideal"
"We’re just eliminating the competition" Aurelia replied.
"Alright then, maybe I’ll take you girls seriously" Roman spoke.

Before she could finish, Roman moved.
[Stone Bullet, Explosive Ember]
Instead of closing his hands as he does, he left them open so they could see the projectile as it shot towards Ava.
Ava quickly raised ice to block, but that split second was all Roman needed as Aurelia was confused, at first the crowd didn’t realize but Evelyn was already standing and staring at Roman.

Roman created a mirage of himself to Aurelia and immediately dashed towards Ava, Aurelia’s eyes widened just a bit and then she dashed towards Roman who was no longer standing there.
[Sound Attack]
Roman muttered as he tapped Aurelia while running past her.
A sharp, invisible force blasted outward. The air itself shook in Aurelia’s ears as she immediately fell to the ground, the sound alone was enough to burst her eardrums.
Ava flinched, her concentration breaking as she could see Roman but Aurelia couldn’t, she couldn’t believe what was happening but it seemed like Roman could use illusion magic.
