Chapter 223 223 Two vs One [Part 2]

Ava flinched, her concentration breaking as she could see Roman but apparently Aurelia couldn't, she couldn't believe what was happening but it seemed like Roman could use illusion magic.

Roman didn't stop.

Thin, glowing chains shot from the ground, aiming for Ava's legs. She cast a spell creating ice underneath her legs to dodge the chains, but her rhythm was broken and now the entire crowd was on their feet.

"VICTORIA!!" Evelyn shouted and turned towards her, but Victoria was in her seat with a smile on her face, this was what she was talking about yesterday.

In front of everyone, Roman had used, earth attribute, illusion magic, and now binding magic which was unique to summoners, it was unheard of, it was impossible.

"Since when…?" Ava muttered as the shock of it all made her stop attacking and now Aurelia had recovered and was on her feet.

'I knew something was wrong yesterday, Roman can really use other magic types, I thought of it, he did the same thing as Reina so I figured he was also a summoner, but not this, how is this even possible'

Roman stepped forward, calm now, his breathing steady again as all eyes were on him, a smile on his face as he looked around, even the Queen was shocked as her jaw dropped, the entire crowd was too stunned to do anything other than look at him.

The only two people who were not surprised were Victoria and Faylen.

"I told you I was holding back, I've never fought at full strength before, I'm sure both of you working together would have a chance, that is if you tried your best" Roman spoke as he stretched his hand towards Ava.

Ava moved at the same time, raising both hands again and infusing a massive amount of mana into her spell.

A wide Ice wave rushed toward Roman, Aurelia had already moved out of the way the moment she saw Ava but Roman didn't step back.

A glowing symbol appeared in front of him. The crowd wasn't even surprised by the fact that he was able to use rune magic, they were just invested in the battle happening in front of them.

The attack crashed into Roman, shaking the ground. The rune cracked but held just long enough for him to cast another spell.

His flame spell canceled her ice wave and Roman was left without a single scratch but Aurelia was already on him again.

Her sword came down fast and she was sure this would be it as he couldn't move out of the way fast enough but Roman wasn't trying to move.

Roman blocked with a barrier of blood that formed around his hand like Aurelia's shield, but she followed up instantly with her shield, slamming into him again and he did the same blocking with the barrier but it wasn't enough.

He staggered back, and a spell was already on him before he could move or recover.

"Flame Arrow!"

Ava's attack came from the side again and Aurelia also struck again.

Roman turned sharply and put both of his hands.

The red shield formed just in time. Ava's spell hit it, exploding against the surface but it didn't push him backward as he tanked another hit from Aurelia, this time he infused a little more mana into his barrier as he knew both of them would hit harder.

For a moment, the two girls stood side by side.

They were locked in now and determined to win no matter what, even though it was two against one.

Aurelia spoke quietly, "We hit him together. Don't give him time to cast, we still have no idea what type of spell he has, but I don't think he has the mana to fight a long battle"

Ava nodded.

They moved at the same time.

Aurelia rushed from the front again, while Ava attacked from a distance, sending continuous spells toward Roman.

Roman's eyes moved quickly, tracking both of them, he wasn't focused on the spells as they were heading the wrong way.

"What is wrong with your aim?" Aurelia shouted as she sprinted forward, but Roman had already used [Self Mirage] and [Conceal] to confuse her so it wasn't her aim.

Chains shot toward Aurelia again, and this time one of them held her legs cutting off her attack.
