Spirit Taming

Chapter 759: Devi's Charm

Chapter 759: Devi's Charm

Things were becoming a lot more interesting as the forge spirit moved around the master blacksmith. They were amazed by the sheer amount of techniques being used to heat the specific parts of the soul silver as he worked.

Some times he used a small tube to force heat toward one specific aspect of the metal. Other times, he used a small dropper to add oils and other materials to cool the thinner pieces of metal to alter the way that it was settling.

When he began to use the energy crystals, the forge spirit was the one to control the flow of energy through the master blacksmith's hammer.

This was done by forcing the fire energy and the spiritual energy that it could naturally channel to act as a buffer. Then the metal energy was boosted so that the charm being forged would take on a specific strength. It was a wonder that the skills they were witnessing were possible in the first place.

Clark had never imagined that there would be a perfect melding of energies in this way. The methods that allowed this to happen were extremely fine. Yet, the master blacksmith was not someone who channeled energies to be able to fight. No, these skills are to create things.

The entire process was captivating. Clark had nearly missed the main focus of what he had promised to do. He could have missed the entire recording of the best plan for the forge spirit. However, he had been able to drag his focus back and revise it to a perfect description with a few added details just because he felt that was exactly as he should do for all the help that they were giving.

When the charm was done, Devi broke outside of the taming space instantly. He could sense the item that was melding better with the death energy he absorbed than anything else he had felt before.

'Soul charm- legendary

This is a small round charm that is shaped like the imaginative soul that many living beings think of when they are told to imagine the form of a soul. It is made from unique materials that came form a world that is no longer whole.

The ability to channel soul energy along with meld with death energy better makes this charm an amazing catalyst for those that wish to bring their two affinities together as one. The beasts that can use this charm are extremely small in number. It would be a wonder to meet one let alone two.

Because of the unique nature of soul energy, it is often challenging to channel. Yet, with this charm, the ability will be boosted significantly. It can also assist in basic enlightenment of soul energy if the beast using it is a novice in that area of its own affinity….'

There was more description when it came to how this was forged. The techniques used. Even how the energies within it were somewhat lingering since they had just been left behind by the beast and forge master that had created it. None of this mattered to Devi though.

The master blacksmith was stunned to see the beast that had appeared. The forge spirit also backed away sensing the unique energies that devi had within him. But when Clark felt how happy Devi was, he pushed the blacksmith to hand over the charm.

Devi took the charm and put it around his neck instantly. The outside death energy that made up his cloak of darker gray and black calmed down. The inner white that made up the majority of Devi's body also melded with it better. The soul and the death aspects of his being were mixing a lot more smoothly. It even made Devi need less focus to maintain the balance within his body.

"Devil, you are definitely better off with that. It might even help you reach the proper next growth stage." Clark could only sense the elation that Devi had. He was sure that there was a little bit of lingering worries that this item could be lost or not be allowed to be used, but when the master blacksmith underwood how grand this item was to Devi, he nodded approvingly.

He had already said he would give this to him, why would he go back on this. "Human, you managed to have the exact things you needed, a plan for them, and even a list of techniques that I would never have strung together. If there is anything you ever need forged and you have plans like that, bring them here. I will see what I can do."

This was truly out of respect. The master blacksmith had found that he had changed his viewpoint on forging to some degree. He had never used his techniques in the ways that he had today. Therefore, he had the new ability to take a better turn towards doing the same with other metals. Other harder to forge items.

"Where do you think you are going? The two of you are staying here to watch more of that. I have a lot more forging to do." Ralph and Grace were stuck on the spot. Apparently, he had taken enough interest in how the pair forged that he wanted them to learn a thing or two.

"Clark, get out of here and handle whatever you need to do. I will work on armor and whatever with this old guy." Ralph was right in to it. He was going to do whatever he could to learn more.

"Old guy!" The ranting left behind as Clark pulled Maria outside with him was more than enough to know that Ralph and Grace would gain a lot of knowledge for whatever they learned of forging.

"What about you, I saw that you copied a lot of notes." Clark felt that he should ask what Maria had managed to learn. He was certain that it would be very valuable.

"The way that dwarves make alchemical potions revolves using super heated cauldrons and pressure, they use the forge flames that they also forge metals in but also keep the vapors trapped within the cauldrons."

"Then they manage to melt some metallic minerals along with other herbs and mined materials. It is very different from the elves who make potions using almost all herbs and humans that use beast materials and also herbs. I can't tell you how all three relate, but I am going to combine them."

The grand ambition that Maria had realized through her theories and thoughts when she saw the dwarven alchemy were enough to make Clark wonder how long this would take. Doing something like this could take years. If not generations.

"If that works, wouldn't it become a general alchemy that could mic the races a little better too? You could use it in Aphelion so that the people that came there would have a chance to learn from one another more often." what Clark saw was a simple chance.m

If Maria actually succeeded in doing this, there was a chance that every single race would have the ability to use one another's alchemical methods. That meant healing would have another route to go for all races within the alliance. A pretty great thing to say the least.

"When we catch up to Ella and the others, I will have her help me. You can focus on whatever the others have been doing." Clark felt that he was being pushed to the side. However, he also felt like that looking at the way Devi was hiding himself and focusing on his internal energy. The invisibility skill hid him from others, but that didn't mean Clark didn't sense him wherever he was.

Finding the others was easier than what Clark had expected. They had not gotten far. The dwarves did not much care for monetary value. This made it harder for Isa since she had some gold with her, but the dwarves focused on materials. Gold was nice, but the gold was not practical.

Right this second, she was arguing with a dwarf who was insisting that he needed three times the ore for one ingot of the metal that she had taken an interest in. Isa knew better though. She knew quality by a glance. That was the perk of being a merchant's daughter and a merchant at heart herself.

"That's only green root steel, just leave it be since Ralph will not forge with it anyways. We won't trade it for much here either. The elves would do better with that than the dwarves." The energy that Clark got from analysis was earth, water, and light. This made it harder for the dwarves to forge since they relied mostly on fire. Not that they were unable.

"You should trade for that speckled garnet since it has a lot more uses for forging since it can be ground up and added to certain alloys. Ralph and Grace are learning from a master blacksmith right now. They will know a little more about that." Clark watched as the dwarf trying to trade for items was at a loss now.
