Chapter 752: To The End

Chapter 752: To The End

"The healing has been moving forward with great speed. There are few who needed advanced methods of healing due to the work already done before our arrival at the wreckage." The elf caption that was in charge was praising the work that Maria had done.

From what he and the healers present had seen, the grave wounds had all been stopped form bleeding or causing the end of the dwarves' lives. This was all due to the higher knowledge that Maria had along with using every bit of energy that she could.

When it came to Lit, she had fallen in to slumber leaving Maria fairly worried. The two had used a lot of energy which they had rarely done. But this was nothing compared to the worry that the midnight eel had. When Maria had laid down to rest, it had revolved around her constantly. Not wanting anyone to approach her.

To be fair, it had needed to strike out against monsters constantly while Maria fell in to an insanely focused state. She had been healing and shouting orders for assistance without caring about a single monster. She had no energy for that. The others had been defending her. That was their job while she was the healer.

The healing potions that the group possessed now were in the single digits. All their stored potions had been used up and only a few for emergencies remained. However, that was not a bad thing. It was a benefit that they had so many saved up. Especially since they would have been unable to heal the injured dwarves so well without them.

While this had been a massive weight off of the commander's shoulders, he had not liked the fact that so many of his people had been killed. So many had been turned to monsters that still tried to attack anything they saw near the ruined mining city.

The many years that they had dedicated to building the moving mining city were nothing compared to the number of dwarves lost in this attack. The shadow swarm centipede couldn't have done that damage alone. The crimson blood slime had been the real evil monster behind all this.

With all the demonic blood tainted potions that had been used, it had caused so many monsters to be born. The elves had needed to fight them and defeat them, which caused the commander of the dwarves to be thankful. He did not wish to see the remnants of his people suffering.

While some would feel this to be wrong, this was just the current reality. They were forced to act to protect themselves while also preventing more death. These monsters would keep attacking mindlessly without anyone to stop them. It would be an endless cycle of death.

When it came to the scraps of the mining city, the dwarves said that they would be unable to begin cleaning it for at least the next year or so. The dungeon that connected their home world to here was nothing of what the group had imagined.

Clark had been on edge when the commander brought up the struggle they faced when it came to the dungeon. This was the target of the monsters present. They wanted to take over the base and then use the dungeon to get to the dwarves home world.

While the entire group already knew that humans and elves had the blood moon cult in their home worlds, this one and the elves' world, that is, the dwarves didn't. It wasn't that they hadn't had dwarves that followed that line of thinking, it was just the lower number of dwarves and the fact that they were always focused on forging, not becoming perfect beings.

Just different obsessions.

However, if the blood moon cult had managed to get here and in to that dungeon, then they would have a lot more evil to commit there. They could keep spreading that potion and potentially gain access to much tougher to handle technology. The mechanical golems could be used to push through the walls of the elves and the humans. Creating a much worse war.

"The dungeon that connects us to our home is called the thousand mile desert. A flat land filled with rocks and sands. It is one thousand miles from one side to another. It is extremely stable. It has various monsters made of stone and sand. That's why we can not easily traverse it in days.

It takes months."

"Why are you telling us this? Wouldn't that show weakness? We could attack you?" Grace felt that the commander was offering them way too much.

"Yes, you could. But then what? My home is safe. You will not have the strength to traverse that dungeon then take on the ten walls in front of our home. Then even get through the twenty that are beyond that exit. I know that you also have other reasons for coming here.

None of you seek the death of a race. I see that clearly."

"And these long eared tree hoppers wouldn't want our world anyways. They have more to lose if we lose than if they lost. Their world is full of life and beast species. Plenty of things that would suffer if these cult trash got ahold of our larger war golems."

"I agree with the meat head forge slammer. While we do have more to lose, we also do not have any reason to fight here. No war will be fought between us in your world. Especially now. We have seen a much better path to take."

The elf captain was more so relaying the words of the matriarch. She believed that the potential for the allies was greater than that of the enemy captured through battle. Specifically because of the way that Clark's group was growing, even without growing stronger, the knowledge possessed was more valuable as an ally than an enemy.

"On that note, we should talk about what this means." Isa nudged Clark after she spoke up and forced the attention of all who were present to them.

The commander had three of his trusted subordinates and the caption of the elves that came here had squad leaders under him. They were all in this room for a conversation like this. One that was much more important than what they had when they were back in their city or when the dwarves first started fighting.

"The human reinforcements should be able to come here as well. We sent notice to them as best as we could. The elves helped with that. But, what we need those reinforcements for, is an all out war on the main base of the blood moon cultists." Clark motioned to Ella.

"With the assistance of the elves energy tracking abilities, the large energy amounts around the nearby areas prove that there is not just a small base. There is a large base connected to various smaller bases underground. Most likely connected by a dungeon of some sort."

"They will also have the most powerful monsters that we have witnessed. One that can control large amounts of fire, magma to be specific, one that can create large waves of wind blades, another that uses the darkness to decay large areas of land.

Those three are considered the most powerful known by humans." Ella had a lot more information since she had been the one to delve in to it when they were still in Aphelion City.

"That aside, we should expect at least one more powerful monster that controls them all. The monsters have been seen to be more instinctual. Therefore, they will bow to power rather than intellect. Not that the leader lacks that. He is clearly capable of sending monsters to attack cities along with creating more monsters with potions."

"That brings us to the more dangerous aspects of this. The demon that they have a deal with. A demon that the blood moon cult has had long enough to make their power grow immensely." Ella stopped speaking since she knew that this would be a reason for everyone to be on edge.

"About that, I have a trump card. A risky one to sue, but if we need to, it might handle the demon." Clark had not forgotten one of the items he had received some time ago from the system.

While he had been afraid to even touch it since then, he thought he should be a little more honest with his skills. No, what he had to bring to the table. "Demons are clearly an evil species that bring about the worst. They are just doing so because they want to work their way in to worlds and consume it all." Saying this, everyone felt that Clark was about to say something very bad.

"I have a way to call on a demon and make a deal if need be. If it means eradicating the blood moon cult, then I will hold that burden. Defeating them is my reason for being right now. So do not attempt to dissuade me." The coldness and pressure that radiated from Clark made everyone lose any desire to speak against him. He was willing to follow this to the death if he needed to.

The joker card appeared in his hand and was set flat on the table they sat around.
