Spirit Taming

Chapter 731: Crimson Promises

Chapter 731: Crimson Promises

Destructive orange and red flames b loomed from Crim's maw. Clark could feel the intense heat. They were not flames made from fire energy. No, they were purely made from dragon energy deeply condensed within Crim's core. Not in his slime body, but his core.

It was a judgment he was laying down. Nothing that anyone could interfere with any longer. The writhing slime body that was controlled by the elf who was once its tamer, was being burned. No matter how it attempted to break free, it was burned. The whips of dark slime that attacked wildly, were reduced to ash.

The dark energy that was escaping was being caught by Shy. She was ensuring that the slime body's dark energy was not wasted. While she could gain some strength from it, it was even more important that the released energy did not cause harm to others. It could cause everyone here illness or decay in their open wounds. They had not all avoided battle wounds while fighting.

As some of the bodies forced to fuse with the slime were exposed and burned up, nothing was left of them. Crim was still breathing out every bit of dragon energy in to these constant flames. The wrath of a dragon looking down upon an insult to its species was too powerful. While it wasn't an insult to dragons, Crim saw an insult to all slimes. A desecration of what a slime was and could be.

When another body part was exposed from the slime body, the elves nearby gasped in disgust and rage. They saw a child like hand. One that could have been human or elf. No one would ever be able to know.

What was known though, was that this was even worse than anything they had yet to encounter during this generation. The blood moon cult had managed to hide itself away after the last battle against them years ago.

As a result of this, they had been able to grow their madness. Able to experiment more than they should have been allowed. Right now, the elves were witnessing the products of that. A gruesome treatment of all that were not monsters to be used as experiments to make more monsters.

Clearly the elf that had fused himself with his dark slime had been capturing experimental subjects to fuse himself with further. Trying to become an even more powerful being that was thought to be perfect. He had just gone too far off the deep end that he was now nothing but an insane monster at the bottom of a dungeon.

From their planning, this leader would have been able to capitalize on the devastation of the elven city at the hands of both spiked locusts and the monsters made from them. Then he would come in to capture more and more of the fleeing elves. Take everything that they were to use as more experiments. More fuel for his madness.

"Crimson, this is your battle. Free that slime from suffering and destroy the corrupt thing that caused it." Clark saw Crim close his mouth. His dragon energy waning with how much he had managed to attack.

Clark's orders were filled with an even more vicious connotation. Every single elf that heard how he had spoken shivered. They had never expected such a brutal killing intent to ooze from a human, let alone someone so young, in their lives. Now though, they could sense what kind of person Clark was.

This human did not care at all what race or what beast someone had. It didn't even occur to him how they were different because of that. He was fine with sharing knowledge to ensure that both beast and tamer grow better together. That was how their matriarch had explained it seeing him give information to ensure that the healers grew upon their meeting.

However, they could see his actions toward these monsters. Killing them without mercy. Destroying the sins that they had done while freeing the victims. Even if those victims were beasts that could one day fight against elves or humans or even other beasts.

These monsters were something that should not be. Created through intense cruelty and evil. Clark struck that down. A figure willing to walk in front of these filthy things to return the flow of nature as it should be. Truly admirable.

As Crim left from Clark's shoulders and back, he released his minimization skill. The skill he used to hide his true size and strength. The elves shuddered witnessing that Crim was easily five times the size of what he had just been. A hulking slime dragon sparkling with starlight within his body.

Razor sharp fangs dripping with slime filled with dragon energy. Claws cutting in to the cavern floor as if it was butter. The large wings stretched out behind Crim, ready to be used as a means of flight or a boost of speed. This was all besides the intimidating dragon energy and flicker of lighting that sparked here and there along his body.

As the remnants of the dark slime body struggled in a puddle, the face of the elf that had once been an elf, and was now a monster, moved to expose the decaying flesh. The body was only partially intact since it had more than melded with the dark slime body it was forcing to control. The beating heart within encased within the slime core, but in now way was the slime in any control.

It was just suffering.

Rather than opening his maw and breathing out more flames, Crim channeled the lighting that he could call upon. His body sparking with lighting that he had yet to use in any situation. However, because his body had been damaged and he had become a celestial slime dragon, he had managed to awaken more control over his origin.

When Crim lunged at the squealing mess of slime and elf, the lightning flared. Crackling and burning made their way through the entire third floor. Crim destroyed and consumed the dark slime core. The heart within being pierced by lighting and dissolving.

While it was the death of the dark slime, it was also a promise.

Many slimes consumed other slimes. That was their method to grow. Crium was taking responsibility as a slime at his origin. Allowing himself to promise to not overlook gruesome events like this that happened to his species. He would surely be one of the beasts that rose up to deal with the source of this great tragedy.

After a few moments, crim finished dissolving the dark slime bore and dispelled dark energies. Shy captured it with some shadow threads before she leaped on to Crim's back and he used the minimize skill again. "You did very well. I am proud of you."

Clark turned back to the elves as Crim returned to the taming space with Shy. his eyes looked at the elves who had more than gathered behind him and behind Brad. They looked at him like they were seeing a beast in human clothing. But they also looked at him in awe.

The pure power that he had compared to what they had seen in anyone was above all else. Their greatest warriors would need to use their strength if they were to fight him with just one of his beasts. If he grew any more, he would be above the stronger warriors and approaching the strength of the matriarch of their entire city. An astounding thought to have.

"My hosts, the elven race, we have handled the mastermind behind the attack on your home. He has been destroyed and his beast has been made a promise. No longer will the slimes that from within this black pit dungeon be abused. They will be allowed to live freely and safely. Develop as they wish while potentially making partners with a tamer they trust. No other shall cause them harm."

"By the name of crimson, the celestial slime dragon, that promise will be kept." Clark did not promise with his name. Instead, he promised with crim's and crim's species. That way, it showed the equality and truth behind how Clark saw his beasts.

"It is only right that this is the choice you made. Humans, no, my visitors. You are welcome within our city at any time." Ferns unfurled around the leading elf of Clark's group. Revealed before him was the matriarch of the elven city. She looked at Clark with pride. She recognized him and his group.

Their values and what they stood for.

"Thank you for keeping a watchful eye on us as we pursued these enemies." Clark thanked her properly. He had noticed the beast before. He was amazed that this had been one of the matriarchs' beasts. A false faced fern. A beast he had never seen and one that he would be recording down for Ella later since she was standing stunned as well.

"I had a feeling you saw through me earlier." The matriarch gave Clark a knowing look. "My squadron leaders, begin the clean up of this dungeon and prepare mapping. Those with injuries will be treated immediately."
