Chapter 706: Getting Through

Chapter 706: Getting Through

'Ebony tea leaves- rare

These are from the ebony bark tree. A rare tree that has dark black bark. It is all due to the large amount of darkness energy that the tree pulls in to sustain itself.

Therefore, when the leaves from the very top of this tree are harvested, they have significant amounts of darkness energy within them. This causes them to have a deep flavor more complex than most teas. It also does not harm the body of many beasts or intelligent beings.

Due to this, it is loved by various tea enthusiasts and especially beasts that use darkness energy.

Twisted wood staff- rare

While somewhat weak, this staff is used to help a tamer bond more closely with their wood type beast or nature related beast.

This staff was naturally formed within a large forest. The twisted wood coming from a tree that naturally grew twisted branches because of how it needed to develop to survive within nature. Due to this, it plays host to unique plant type energy, a various assortment of energies that make up the plant typing, causing it to be a useful tool to guide plant type beasts.

It is also a valuable item for meditation when learning to accept the natural plant energy in to the body. Many struggle with that and this rare item can assist the youngest and newer tamers in learning how their beast uses the pant energy to strengthen themselves…

Large uncut emerald- rare

A large emerald gem. It is valuable to many merchants or those that enjoy fancy shiny things. It is hard to find one this large and uncut. It has no innate uses in any form of energy but has some earth energy within it. Otherwise, it would be a very niche item to be needed for any practical reasons. It is normally a vanity item.

Wrist weights- rare

This item would not be considered rare normally. However, it is made with a unique form of earth related runes that control weight. It can even begin to step in to the domain of gravity energy which is related, but not directly reliant on earth energy.

It is an ideal training item for those that wish to challenge themselves based on the task. They can also be locked in place for various different users of all shapes and sizes…

Carved light energy crystal- rare

Carved by a craftsman with unique skills, this light energy crystal was originally cut for a sword hilt. Due to it falling through the cracks of space, it became filled with a unique form of light energy that increased the storage ability of this light energy crystal.

It is considered rare due to the shape being the same as any energy crystal when carved, but holding more energy than normal. It is ideal for crafting if the item is made with the proper light related materials…'

Clark was amazed to see the new wins from the system. The gacha had just given him five valuable items. He was sure that the emerald would be sold by Isa. An easy way to ensure that they had some money. She had also learned a lot about the sales of gems like this from her other brother.

The twisted wood staff was useful for where they were going. The elves focused on nature. Therefore, one with plant beasts would find this staff ideal. An easy sell to someone that would need it the most.

The ebony tea leaves could be used when meeting the matriarch of the elves. A valuable gift that showed sophistication. But also came with some benefits if there was someone that they shared it with who had a darkness type beast. Regardless, a useful item.

The wrist weights definitely had an owner already. Brad would see them and he would claim them anyways. No one else would be able to sue them.

That was the same for the carved light crystal. Ralph would jump to take it as a material. He could build a weapon entirely around that crystal so that it was a perfect fit all around. He would also be able to show off a varying number of his skills as a blacksmith. The level of growth that he had gone through recently.

This just left one gacha ticket to spend. One wheel spinning.

'Morning dew tree seed- ultra rare

The morning dew tree sounds odd and weak. However, it is actually a very valuable tree species to many natural races.

This is due to the form it grows. It is similar to a vine. It will grow straight upwards without much in terms of branches. Instead, it will have many small leaves that will attract the warmth and the moisture as the day changes.

In the morning, all the settled dew will drip down the leaves carrying various important energies that the tree needs to continue to grow. This dew is exceptionally nourishing for the body, regardless of species.

This will be sold as a morning dew potion. Many who suffer from injuries that can not be healed in normal terms will seek this out to alleviate pain or heal them entirely over multiple potions worth of this.

While the seed needs specific environments to grow, it also needs a very trained gardener to grow it. It is very delicate due to the weaker state of its trunk and the many small leaves on it…'

Now Clark was somewhat perplexed. This item would be very valuable for those that could properly grow it and harvest it. While the dew sounded like a great potion to have, it would be impossible to have if the person growing the tree was unable to properly grow it at all.

The group would be unable to do so. That was clear. They would need to give it round the clock care. Time that they did not have. That they could not spare because they would lose the goals that they currently had. But regardless of that, they lacked the skills to even grow it too.

They would need to tame a beast that would help them grow this tree. Some form of wood fairly or otherwise. Beasts that were like that could be hard to find as eggs and even harder to tame since they would look for specific reasons why they would follow a tamer and make that sort of bond with them.

As Clark refocused his attention on the guards who were still with Jasmine and her personal guards, he realized he had not gauged the atmosphere well.

The uncomfortable feeling between their group and the guards had been started because they had moved to attack them right away. Then in return, Ella had been annoyed and used her beasts to both put them in an illusion, then intimidate them. Naturally, they would be in some awkward states.

Luckily, Clark had spaced out long enough that the guard sent to get their captain, had arrived. He also had a much taller and long haired elf with him. His white tattoos showing off that he was one of the plight elves. An elf with natural light affinity and almost always having a light type beast.

Considered a blessing for the elven race since they lived around a lot of plants that needed light to grow.

"A small but strong group. And young lady Jasmine is vouching for them?" The repeat was only for himself, but it appeared that this elf was more professional rather than judging. A good thing since it meant things would proceed faster.

"I was told you wish for an audience with the current matriarch. That will not happen. We are locked down. You may set a temporary camp here and wait until we have handled the source of this issue."

"Just a quick question, why are the elves so dumb?" Clark stepped forward and came face to face with this captain who was telling them that they would still not be allowed forward toward the elven city.

"Because, we have knowledge about the problem you face. We even have a way to end that problem permanently. But still, you insist on ignoring our words? You understand that I can easily beat you and your light string bow, right? Just because it is hiding in the sunlight around us, doesn't mean that I can not see it and cannot cut that string it relies on so much."

There was no pressure, now glaring. Just complete facts from Clark who had already noticed the beast hiding in plain sight using its innate light affinity.

This left the captain with wide eyes. He had never had someone speak to him like that nor had someone pick out his weapon and partner immediately. This was enough to show off that Clark was well above normal in the sense of strength. He was a human, yes, but he could easily beat him, an elven captain with a rare partner and rare affinity.

"Can you take us to your city so that we can handle the blood moon cult before they actually attack and use your fellow elves for an experiment to create monsters?"
