Chapter 704: How Is The Golem?

Chapter 704: How Is The Golem?

Blinking, the familiar young elf's face was very confused. She did not know what to say as the others began to force themselves around her in protective order. From what they had just seen, a monster was defeated by someone much more powerful.

An armored person had just arrived whom they did not recognize whatsoever. Someone powerful that radiated dragon energy, but also various energies that matched storms. Naturally, they would be confused since they had not heard of any elf that had this capability. Nor, any elf that had such armor.

"Ah, I look a little different now, don't I? But I did say I would come here eventually. Not that I expected to come here like this. Regardless of all that drama… How is your clay golem doing? I don't see it here." The dragon energy from Clark and Crim came in waves.

Instantly, the elves recognized who they were in front of. In response, the elves all recoiled slightly. They feared the potential risks of speaking out of turn after remembering how strong Clark was the last time they crossed paths with him.

Yet, they also couldn't comprehend how he appeared even stronger. Even the spear he wielded was more powerful. The energies he also radiated just in the few simple attacks he used had caused them to question their own strengths after years of training.

Crim changed his form to his dragon form. Looking slightly smaller, but able to radiate even more potent dragon energies mixed with a slight bit of lighting. This was also putting aside the more mysterious aspects of his energies that he had gained through the bind with Clark, and more importantly, being around Devi and Shy at all times. Their influence had left its mark.

After a few shallow breaths and rushed healing potion drinking, the elves finally gathered themselves enough to speak properly. Their wounds were mostly burns. One had a broken arm, but otherwise, they were not in life threatening positions. Which was a good thing since Clark could use an escort in to the elven city.

"We were going to reach out to the human territories when we had the ability. But our city is currently on high alert for the past months. Various attacks on the lands have occurred and we have been unable to handle them constantly. You have helped us again. Our young miss is very grateful."

Looking at the guard who spoke, Clark changed his gaze to the younger elf. "And young miss, is it? How is your clay golem?" His words radiated even more dragon energy. It was what stopped Maria who was the first to catch up to him from moving ahead any more. She could tell that Clark was very serious right now.

"My partner is in the mud springs of our city! I used all my funds to bring it there for multiple months. I followed the journal you gave me. It's growing a stronger body as we speak!" There was fear but also some pride. It was clear the pair had made some developments in their relationship now that this young elf was not acting like a fool.

"Good. good. If we have time I would like to see it again and congratulate it." Seeing Clark relax and stop with his glares, every guard elf calmed themselves and recalled the remainder of their beasts. Maria also ran up the rest of the way.

"So?" Clark knew exactly what Maria was asking.

"These are the elves I met in that dungeon. This is the girl who tried to kill herself and tortured her clay golem. These are some of her guards. I have no idea what her name is even though I introduced myself last time." Clark shrugged a little and the guards all looked embarrassed for their past actions.

"Oh, well, I am Maria. The rest of our group is heading here after putting out the fires and checking for more monsters like that one. We have news to share about a cult made beast wave and large scale monster experiment on some of your people." Maria jumped right in to the details of what they were doing.

The guards became somewhat pale. Their home had already been suffering. Now they were being told that even worse was coming? What were they supposed to do about that!? They had to get help. Or they had to let the elder know!

"My name is Jasmine Earthborn. I am the first born of my family and the future representative of the earthen elves within the grand earth council of elders. I will bring you to our city. I have already seen your worth. You do not seem to be one to lie." When he saw the young elfs' confidence, Clark wondered if having her partner gaining strength had done this, or if she was naturally cocky.

"That will make things a lot easier. Jerold, no need to hide behind them so that you can set up some scouting stuff." Clark smirked a little but so did one of the elf guards.

"We could sense you. Your steps are light, but you appeared to be an ally of the dragon knight that assisted us. We would not attack." the guard that had her hand on an earth dagger placed it away. As if to prove she would have acted.

"Dragon knight? Since when is Clark a dragon knight?" Grace's interjection as the other arrived together made Maria giggle slightly.

"These are the elves Clark helped when we were all split up in a dungeon. You remember, when he ditched us to do things?" Clark froze slightly. He didn't feel like reliving the talking to he got after all that. Maria was amazing, but her tongue was sharp.

"Then they already have some connection with us. They already saw one of the beast plans that Clark made. Sooooo, what kind of business would you like to do? We have quite a few other beast plans we can provide. Even services to adjust materials, create beast plans, and very much more." Isa trumped any conversation going on as she fell in to business mode.

"We have other important matters." Brad had his focus on the dangers approaching. She stopped Isa from speaking any more.

"He's right. Let's follow them." Reese's apologetic smile was not enough to make Isa stop the new glare she had. The only one that didn't seem affected by all this was Ralph. He was just standing next to his molten boar thinking about his next set of training that he could do while away from the forges.

There was a moment where the guards looked over the group, but they had decided to trust Clark with their past experience with him. At the time, he could have easily beaten them all. They were weaker than they were now, and even if they had been stronger, they had the feeling they could have still lost that fight badly.

"To increase our standing as the future representative, I needed to patrol our territories to help discover the sources of these fires. We have had multiple monsters defeated by other groups, one being my younger sister and her rumbling earth golem." This explained why someone like Jasmine was out in the wilderness trying to fight a monster.

She had been held back by her own foolishness. Her golem was weak because of her, and that had affected her standing in the other elves' eyes. Seeing that Maria was also healing the elves with Lit's help as they began walking, Clark waited to hear more information.

"We have an alliance with humans, but not a close one. Would you come here to warn us?" this was to be expected. They all would ask this when they reached their city after all.

"We just fight the blood moon cult. Lost two cities to them and reformed a corrupted city. Now we have a new alliance we named the universal alliance. We want the elves to join it and the dwarves to join it. That's the best way to handle the blood moon cult that is not biased by race. They just want to make everyone and everything in to monsters since that's how they think the world should be."

Jasmine lost any light in her eyes hearing this. The blood moon cult had not just been a problem for humans. The elves and dwarves had both seen their cruelty years ago. It was one reason why the elves and dwarves had not grown much larger. They had lost a lot of strength fighting them once upon a time.

"We also need help finding their outposts since they have communication bracelets hidden nearby then. We are pulling them out at the roots. We just happened to have learned about their plans to create a beast wave. We couldn't just let that be.

So we have two reasons for coming here." Clark was sure that mentioning the dwarves was not the best, but the elves and dwarves would need tpo get over their differences.
