Chapter 683: More Swords

Chapter 683: More Swords

Following Maria to another of the healing tents did not feel like work at all. Instead, Clark felt that it was a very good thing. He felt happy to know that he was able to help so many of those injured in his own cause.

But he was also feeling glad that the quests had been generated earlier. It had shown him another way to go about his current situation. He still felt that he was a little empty after getting his revenge. Not that he was done.

His eyes had changed targets. The blood moon cult was dealing with another race. Once that was barely able to be called a race because of the atrocities they were known for. The demons couldn't be wiped out. Genocide of a race would be something that would make Clark, or anyone, a monster beyond monsters.

Regardless, the blood moon cult should be handled. They were abusing their strength and causing unimaginable pain. Who knew if the Mourne family would have become so terribly corrupted if they were not reached out to by the blood moon cult for years. If they would have easily caused despair in their every action.

'The skill gacha is spinning…'

'The likelihood of a healing based skill is being multiplied…'

'Congratulations! The eye of the storm skill has been gained.'

Clark felt that he had found a completed piece of his own body. Or better to say, that he had suddenly refined the methods of his energy circulation entirely.

'Eye of the storm- unique

Only able to be used by one who uses the flowing storms moving meditation technique, the eye of the storm is a self healing technique. Using the energies within the bonds and bodies of every affiliated beast and body of the user, this methods allows the damaged aspects of their bodies to be isolated and calmed.

The chaotic energies which normally flow around wounds that are inflicted in battle or other means that are based in energies, will be forced to calm down as if they are in the eye of a swirling storm.

This will cause the energies to lose their violent and damaging effects. In turn, the energies from the body and binds of the user and affiliated beasts will begin rapidly healing the area. Stimulating the nutrients in the body and also the soul.

While this requires significant focus, the flowing storms meditation technique is a technique that allows movement. Just as the eye of the storm will also change as the storm moves. With the higher understanding of this skill and ability to manipulate energies, this can be used in battle even more chaotic than what most people could comprehend…'

At first, Clark had expected to get some sort of first aid skill. He had been sure that the skill would be related to helping others. He even had a small idea that he might get a skill that used the soul related nature of Devi to help heal others' souls. That alone would be incredibly valuable against the rarer forms of energy. Such as death or soul energy.

Those beasts could not be impossible for him to run in to at some point.

It was better to be prepared.

Yet, here he was seeing something that perfectly fit and fused in to the flowing storms moving meditation technique. An interesting change that he had not expected and that had made him stop in place for a moment.

"And what are you so focused on? You already said that you would be helping me. So don't try to run away." Maria smirked a little but was glad that they were heading to the larger tent a little slower. She was enjoying the moment of peace compared to the pained groans and cries from the tents.

"Well, we were helping others so I was thinking about healing. You know how my meditation technique is a moving meditation that allows me to use more energy and even recover some while I fight? Well, I should be able to heal myself with that same technique by isolating foreign energies and using my energies to help my body heal the area better."

"Oh… that's totally normal for you then." Maria smiled a little before showing her actual surprise. She couldn't help but tease Clark a little since it was clear that he was trying to brag a little. "It sounds a lot like how Lit uses her energy to heal me while I fight. She is part of me, or at least that's how I see it.

So, when she is in the cloak form, she controls some of my and her energies to be able to heal me faster."

"I get it. So you had all that knowledge and wanted to keep it for yourself? Now you have to help me train this skill." Clark nudged her a little as they walked back to their own goals. The pair seemingly even more jovial than they had been before.

"So, let me get this straight. Instead of me training to get my partner to a new level of strength that I feel like it will get to if we keep pushing, you want me to start trying to focus on my current strengths and expand that first?"

Reese stood unsure of what was really different between the two. Both would make him and his spirit steel sword stronger.

"That's not what I mean. I saw you use that new skill a few times and how you trained to let your partner float on its own using spiritual energy. I want to see you be able to do that more. I also need to see if the wind attacks with arrows are getting stronger. I would be better if they didn't fall and hurt anyone." The last sentence was much quieter. Isa was clearly trying to hide it.

While most of the group would have expected Isa to be focusing on the fact that she had a lot to do when it came to merchant focuses, she didn't, mainly because she and the other merchants were unable to salvage too much. They had to focus on the surviving goods instead of selling them. Focus on rebuilding rather than making business connections.

This was the same for her father who had returned properly from leaving the city for safety. Her brothers also were pulling their own weight elsewhere. Naturally, she was glad for them, but she wanted to be able to be stronger. To be able to protect them instead of her family being at risk. She still was not as strong as she wanted to be.

The largest flaw in general, was that she had barely grasped control of wind energies. She had advice from Grace, along with advice from others that use purely wind type beasts. But herself, she found that her control was lacking.

Compared to fire and ice, earth and wind were rough. But earth was more advanced since Isa had seen the perfect crystal golem protect her and make crystal walls so many times that she had better understood that process. Therefore, the few times that isa had melded with the perfect crystal golem, she had been able to use the skills much more easily.

Now that her newest partner was growing well and resting, she had to take advantage of it. She had to let the energies flow through her body and teach herself to control wind energy as a whole. That would allow her to better strengthen herself.

Her end goal in all this was clear and simple. Meld all four of her beasts in to her body at once as the peak of her meditation technique should allow her to do. While dangerous, it would make her extremely powerful. Able to make fused attacks that were many times greater than what she could do right now.

She had focused on singular elemental melding for the sole reason that her beasts were stronger and she felt that she lacked the proper grasp on the depths of each energy. It was too risky right now. "Fine, I will help you. But you need to help me with something."

The seriousness that Reese took made Isa curious. But she trusted him and nodded. "I know Clark made a beast plan for me. It even said that I could have a spiritual sword emperor blade. Great and all, but I have a different feeling and so does my partner."

"What is focusing on the distance of spiritual energy control and floating, was split up? What if my partner could manipulate more than one sword? Hide itself in them and attack with all of them? Sword aura in each. Devastating attacks and numbers. Then me coming in to use any of them in battle at better angels which would create our own spiritual sword wheel technique?"

Isa's eyes glistened with excitement to hear this. She and everyone trusted Clark's much safer beast plans. But this, was a groundbreaking attempt that she was more than glad to help Reese with. Especially if they could make it happen.

"Then we are training together. You break my arrows in the sky, and we will buy some materials to make more swords. Relph can forge them too."
