Chapter 669: Mourne Family Mansion

Chapter 669: Mourne Family Mansion

Clark stood in front of the Mourne family manor. The massive mansion was one of the largest. It was not an unknown fact that the Mourne family had ""bought"" the lands and home allowing them to expand.

They had created a massive training area for their personal guards. They also use it to show off to their guests who and what young members of their family were growing at an impressive rate.

Itn was also a well known fact that there was a massive vault beneath the Mourne family home. This vault hosted multiple specimens of beasts defeated by the Mourne family that could be used as valuable materials.

The basics of this was that the Mourne family could flaunt and use their power and wealth. General Mourne had often made it a point that when he arrived, there were many of his subordinates from the lesser families there to welcome him. A pure ego boosting strategy that showed the strength he had.

Maria had grown up in this. She had seen it all since she was little. She had also been banned from being anywhere near them. What Clark felt when he heard this was nothing compared to what he felt when he found out that Maria had even been locked in rooms or closets when the largest events had happened when she was a baby.

All of this just because she had a glow sting jellyfish as a beast which was for healing. It was not fire related as some, if not all, the Mourne family beasts were. This was the core reason why they fight against the Mane family so often. They both had similar fire type beasts that needed similar materials.

This had been a fine rivalry when the families were young. But as they changed their ways to grow, the families had different approaches. The Mournee family abused their strength and forced others to help them grow even more. The Mane family made allies and used their connections to blossom more relationships. Two different approaches.

Regardless of all this and Clark's anger, he was now facing the goals of his training. The very reason for him to walk his path.

The guards all around the Mourne family household were known as the Mourne family guardians. The guardians were in full plate armor and wielded various weapons. They were always prepared to fight because they were the most well trained. Compared to anywhere else with Mourne family guards, these were the greatest. That was just the selfishness that came with the Mourne family.

They sued the best for themselves.

"There are a few escapees coming from the other locations. But most of the smaller families under the Mourne family are running away. They underestimated us." Jerold had been running through the battles happening and helping here and there. But where his group succeeded the most was in communication.

Many students were not strictly the best when it came to fighting or any other aspect of battle. But they still wished to fight. Still wished to make changes.

Where Nova academy was concerned, they had devalued these students. The ones that would fit in elsewhere. Mostly because the powerful families only used a small handful of trained individuals for information gathering or communication. They didn't want outsiders. Therefore, these lessons were often forgotten within the corrupted professors of the academy.

This let many miss their true calling. To slip through the chaos. To move without being noticed. to be able to learn what was needed and make the greatest differences by sharing the right information.

"That's good. It means that we have a trapped rat in a cage here." Clark's voice dripped with cold rage. The shadows around him seemed to vibrate as Shy began to prepare for the assault. Devi was floating nearby, invisible so that none would see his terrifying new form. He needed a trump card for his safety.

"Then I will back you up. I know that there are others coming to help, but you look ready to go." Jerold felt that he might be the weakest here. The forces that had come with Clark were the strongest that Clara had managed to grab. The professors that had seen students harmed. The guards that had lost the reason to defend.

The students that lost or wished to protect families threatened by the Mourne family.

"They will have people with similar skills to you. Handle them." Clark trusted that Jerold had grown immensely. That the armored chameleon would be able to help Jerolf deal with those who foolishly thought that they could handle the fighters pushing down the front door.

"You got it. I will deal with whatever while you handle that brat of an older brother that Maria has." Jerold smirked as he walked in to the shadows. The armored chameleon acting as the one to blend him in to the surroundings.

The Moirne family guardians had gathered and were preparing their attacks. A few had bows and flaming arrows. These ranged attacks being the reason that they thought that this force would fall. But some showed some clear instances of adding extra energy to their attacks. They had heard of their losses already.

"I come back to see the perfect opportunity to show you why you were with us. Clark, I hear you laid your family name to rest and will create your own path. As your supporter, I will ensure that it happens." The deep voice that came from behind them was one that Clark had only heard a few times.

"General Mounre, come out and feel your life end!"

General Mane had entered the battle. He has handled this business with the potential Blood moon cult members outside. As everyone would expect, he also managed to break through a wall being held by the Mourne family guards. A fools' attempt to stop him since he had yet to even call to his beast for strength.

"Watch me." Clark took a deep breath and felt the dragon energy course through his body. Crim and his emotion matched as he shouted out. "Forwarrrrrdddd!!!!" The shock of dragon energy being thrown through the air made the very air itself shiver. But what was even more shocking was that the echo moved throughout the city. This was a statement for all forces that had joined behind him.

Clark was not a weak student any longer.

With the shout, everyone moved. Arrows of flame and ice flew through the forces charging the mansion while many guardians with shields tried to take up positions to stop the oncoming forces.

But with a single wave of his hand, General Mane caused a burst of air that caused every aerial attack to fly off course. This was the strength of a general. One of the most powerful beings within the city that could easily destroy it if they were not able to control their own strength.

When Clark reached the first guardian, he spotted a few of them nearby the massive training fields. His spear easily pieces the defensive barrier that the guardian created using water. A slight spark causing it to dissipate before it the spear stabbed the guardian in the chest.

The group of guards had only drawing Clark's eyes because he saw a beast. One that he knew of. A beast that he wanted to kill the most a beasts that had once been a fire salamander.

'Dragon blood flame salamander- ultra rare

Due to being fed dragon blood, dragon scale shards, and other dragon related materials, the fire salamander's bloodline mutated. Now with the small amount of dragon blood within it, it is able to grow much more.

The flames had a slight draconic nature that allows them to burn through tougher and tougher things. They are also stronger in defensive nature along with much sharper claws and teeth.

The resistances to elemental attacks is significantly improved. While also developing more prideful and cruel habits due to the blood coursing through its body. The salamander is prone to rage fits that will cause it to eat the weaker beasts and tamers around it. Due to the encouragement of a twisted tamer, it has a high chance of becoming an evil flame dragon salamander.

Known for the extremely murderous flames it creates…'

There was more information. Much more related to the number of people it had been able to kill. Through those fits of anger. Through the orders of its tamer for fun. Or even the general facts that its tamer was known for using a metal chain whip to wrap victims as the salamander heated the metal to burn them.

But rage. That was all Clark felt.

The young master of the Mourne family had shown himself. A gruesome grin on his face because he believed that this was a chance to show off to his father his strength. That he could use these people as a means to entertain himself. That these were just toys with foolish ideas attacking his home and that meant that they were not his to play with.
