Chapter 638: Material For Everyone
Chapter 638: Material For Everyone
The moments following were silent and calm. Everyone and their beasts were meditating. The one that had appeared to gain the most from this was Ella of all people. But as Clark thought more about it, this made a lot of sense.
Out of everyone in their group, Ella was the one who had fallen behind the most in relationship with her beast's strength and her strength.
She had allowed them to grow more than she had adapted to their energies, to their strengths. Therefore, she was playing a lot of catch up. When she had witnessed the changes that the crystal butterfly went through as it moved within the butterfly paradise, she had been enlightened as well.
The ability to change the energies that flowed through its body was incredible. So much so that she realized that the base of her knowledge was somewhat flawed.
The original growth of her beasts was a wisp. A beast that had crazy potential. She had even awakened a taming space that was focused on that core origin of her beasts. She could even use her beasts to call on the wisps of similar kinds or more. An incredible event for most tamers since they all thought that wisps were weak beasts.
Yet, she had changed that perception and would continue to do that. Every beast she partnered with was once a wisp. As they grew, they had taken physical bodies as well as their energy bodies within that form. The wisps understood their own energies much more than anything, even if they had lacked some intelligence, which Ella's beasts now gained through growth.
Ella could see how she had to adapt her own body and meditation to their energies much better than before. It was why she was visibly gaining more color in her stressed face. Clark had been somewhat blind to the degree which Ella suffered due to her lack of fine control in the energies her beasts shared with her and how they held back.
Cissibly, the partners she had were also showing changes. The blue flame skeleton's flames calmed as the earth prince's body appeared to harden more. The cloud spirit became denser and the spirit infant was releasing calming waves of spiritual energy that helped everything nearby remain calm and focused.
Meanwhile, the others were focused on their energies and beast binds as well. But Clark had been the first to stand up and move silently toward the crystal butterfly cocoon. This was all because he had the moving meditation technique he partially created and was guided in by the system. The flowing storms meditation technique.
The others wanted to get to this level with their own meditation, but they needed to work much harder. They did not have the assistance of the system, not that they knew that. They just believed that Clark was a genius among geniuses.
'Quick quest- crystal butterfly
Requirement: witness the hatching of a crystal butterfly from its cocoon.
Reward: shed cocoon of the crystal butterfly, boosted analysis skill from the system.'
Feeling the system react, Clark decided to use the analysis as it had just been improved to some degree. However, he was still unsure if he should even touch the crystal butterfly shed cocoon. If he did, he had no idea what might happen or if he could damage it.
'Crystal butterfly shed cocoon- legendary
This shed cocoon would be invaluable to just about any beast type. It can be cut in to many pieces and shared among beasts to allow them a boost in their overall energy absorption abilities. It will strengthen their core existences when it comes to their energy affin ties.
While it will degrade within an hour of the butterfly hatching, it is incredibly valuable. However, butterfly beasts any type will not feed on it due to the fact that they highly respect the crystal butterfly among them. This causes other beasts to come searching for it. Many can sense it even if it is in a dungeon. Sometimes it can cause a beast stampede if left for the full hour open to the world.
Some beasts have a chance of entering a stage of excess growth after consuming the crystal butterfly shed cocoon. This is because their natural energies are stimulated enough that many of the blocked nutrients or stagnant growth is pushed forward. This is great for beasts in a changing stage of their growth, such as eggs, cocoons, or other similar forms.
Making this in to a potion is considered impossible because the balance of energies will destroy the cocoon. Forging anything with it is also impossible because the shaping of whatever is added to it will cause the cocoon to break as well. This is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity for many beasts that can get a hold of a scrap.
Tamers that consume this will also gain benefits. The theory is that they will strengthen the bonds with their beasts to a large degree, however, it was proven that this is a slim chance due to the tamer's natural level of relationship with their beasts.'
Describing the effects that this would have for a tamer in relationship to their beast bond was new. Clark had not seen anything to do in that regard for many or any of the materials or items he used the analysis on. The improvement meant that he might be able to better fine tune the materials that the entire group used.
In turn, this might change the overall growth rate or even growth potential of everyone's beasts. From there, Clark could only imagine that a more powerful or unique growth could happened to everyone's beasts. It would make them stronger. It would make them all grow faster together.
Carefully, Clark took out a knife and began cutting the crystal butterfly cocoon in to pieces. Every piece was evenly cut so that everyone's beasts could enjoy the boons of it. He also ensured that everyone could take a portion for themselves.
It was distracting that Clark was moving around beast to beast and person to person, but as they took the piece of crystal like cocoon, they could see that it was good.
When Grace was handed it and the first finch took it in its mouth, they were both surprised that it fell apart like crystalized sugar. The immediate feeling between them grew. The frost finch's body loosened up more than it had been. Some of the ice energies it had used to trap the wind energy within its body became more fluid.
It feared it would harm Grace, but as Grace had also consumed the cocoon shred, she felt her bond with the frost finch become even more stable.
Regardless of just that, the two became shrouded in a frosty breeze. Something that could be considered dangerous for Grace because of her current illness. Yet, it appeared that her body and mind were actually growing in spite of that. Clark used the analysis to see what exactly was changing.
The phrase that stood out for the frost finch was clear.
'In a state of intense focus due to additional materials, the rate of energy absorption and adaptation had dramatically increased between the tamer and beast. This is an excellent opportunity to learn high control of both ice and wind energies between the frost finch and tamer which could cause a leap in growth.'
'Due to the addition of unique adaptive energy, the side effects of multiple illnesses and their symptoms are being greatly suppressed. Using various herbs right now will encourage a massive boost in healing.'
Clark read these two phrases from the system and knew that it was nudging him to hand over all ice and wind herbs he had. Naturally, he handed them over and watched as the frost finch and Grace began to consume or absorb them. The two were engrossed in this activity. He just let them be, it could take hours for them to be able to stand up and continue on their journey.
As Clark got to Maria, he noticed that the cocoon was shimmering slightly. It had been able to gain a lot. It was going to be a jade moth, but it had already been altering itself. Putting itself on a more unique path due to its mutations before it had formed a cocoon that the system analysis struggled to explain. That was the case with a new species.
Clark had already encountered this before in some forms.
As she took the shred, there was nothing that seemed to influence her. But the jade worm cocoon appeared to be different.
The slightly green color that had developed on the cocoon darkened. There was also lines of red. From what Clark understood, the innate typings must have been strengthened. However, he had no clue what to do next. He could still not get a solid analysis on it due to the fact that the energies and materials given to it were causing changes constantly within the cocoon. It was not yet stable.
Only time would tell.
