Chapter 639: Some Ancient Blood
Chapter 639: Some Ancient Blood
Things really changed when it came to Isa though, Clark had made it to everyone. They were all showing various signs of improvement. To be fair, he also held himself as the last too. He knew that as the leader he had to hold off.
There was also the chance that all his beasts would have a stronger reaction. Crim was a dragon, unlike the dragon welp with Ralph, Crim was much more heavily focused on dragon energy and other unique energies as a celestial slime dragon.
Devi had the chance to break through immediately since he literally was holding on to a lot of spiritual energies, soul energies, and death energies to make a large advancement. The only reason that Devi had not done so yet was because he was waiting on Shy.
That being said, Shy was the one that would benefit the most. She had been growing from her doll form. A mass of black threads still rested within the skeletal forest within the eden's end taming space. Therefore, she would almost certainly finish the growth right there as soon as Clark placed the shred of crystal butterfly cocoon on it.
"I can tell that my perfect crystal golem is getting tougher. And my winter witch is enjoying a better bind with the ice energy she is condensing in her heart. And… well you can see the blaze elemental." Isa watched as the blaze elemental danced in the air enjoying the closeness of the fire energies that it thrived on. It had always shown more emotes than the other two beasts.
Yet, when Clark watched the wind caterpillar, he was stunned. It had immediately consumed the shred. It was also drawing in wind energies at an insane rate. So much more than any of the other beasts that were out and about within the butterfly paradise. It was even attracting the attention of some storm blade butterflies around.
"He's very happy. I bet that he will be making a cocoon with some help." Isa said this as more of the wind related butterflies came over. Clark was using the analysis on them and enjoying the changes. He was very glad that the wind caterpillar had gotten the large boost in growth that the system analysis had already spoken of.
"In that case, you should meditate. The chances of having a massive boost in growth were good, and the wind caterpillar always looked like it wanted to catch up with the other siblings it has." Clark smiled widely. He was a little surprised that Isa had not stopped and gone back to meditation. She surely sensed more about the energies moving through her because of her ability to meld with her beasts.
"Are we still on track to grow in to a wind torrent butterfly or a wind monarch? Or should I give it some wind herbs too?" Isa's worry was that of a mother worrying over her child. It was always a little odd to see her merchant facade break down. She was normally very good at keeping her worries locked away from prying eyes.
"It is still on track to become one or the other. The wind storm butterflies are helping it. They usually flock in groups of other wind type butterflies. So, they are very drawn to your wind caterpillar. They look like they can sense the bond you have too since you can meld with it to some degree.
Good luck." Clark stepped away since the butterflies were clearly having trouble nearing them because of him. He naturally let off some dragon energy due to Crim.
He only looked over one more time to smile as he saw that Isa had pulled out a large blanket for the wind caterpillar to build its cocoon on so that she could safely move it in and out of her taming space or carry it with her. While it limited the training with arrows and wind that she had started, she clearly looked happy to be able to see her newest partner gaining a little more strength.
"Crimson, here's a snack. Just eat it and rest wherever you want. You already absorbed some dragon energy here." Clark watched Crim take the small piece of cocoon and shiver. But not much appeared to change. It seemed that Crim was a little too ahead of this legendary material. But Crim had just grown a lot.
Naturally, he was a little stuck.
"Devil… yes yes, Shyama first." Clark sighed a little watching Devi float around silently like a worried older brother.
As Clark called Shy out, he understood that the size of the black threads had grown. He now understood that Shyama would by wildly different now. Not a small doll being carried any longer, but could be a full grown species of one of a kind beast.
Clark grew serious when placing the small piece on the black shadow threads. The little crystal cocoon shred melted in to them causing the threads to split wildly. It was a wiggling mass of hair, the same way that Shy would always use it to pretend she was a doll and not a beast.
Minutes of this passed Clark by before he saw them drawing back in to reveal a new form. Something he was extremely impressed with.
Instead of the small doll from, Shy had changed in to the size of at least four feet tall. Somewhat human like appearance. Easily confused for a young girl from a distance. Long black shadow threads pretending to be hair. Multiple limbs with puppet like hands made from something that could be called wood but had darkness seeping from the joints came from her back.
'Arachne shadow Puppeteer- legendary
The incredible shadow typing has led to a powerful darkness affinity. This unique darkness related affinity gaining the backing of true darkness affinity greatly strengthened the abilities of this beast.
Usually mimicking humans, it would normally sneak in to impoverished villages or worn down areas to prey on the weak or use the corrupted as puppets. It can control up to ten sentient and intelligent creators if this beast is able to overpower them.
The many shadow threads can be used as weapons in the additional puppet hands attached at the back of this beast. Otherwise, the darkness energy condensed within those hands is said to be a hint at the soul of this beast, however, it is just the condensed and stored shadow energies.
The spider like features smoother out but can be seen much more clearly when the arachne shadow puppeteer relaxes. It has eight eyes but normally only has two open. The shadow poison is also able to be injected from the hidden fangs it has.
This poison causes a small decaying effect but an overall paralyzing effect due to the shadow of the infected wrapping the infected for a short time until the shadow energy dissipates.
Due to gathering enough strength, the hidden origins of this beast have come to show themselves. Once an ancient species of beasts, the arachne were created from the ancient beast Arachnea. When she perished, her blood became multiple species of spider like beasts. The arachne shadow puppeteers taking her darkness affinity and surviving generations.
It is possible to awaken more of this ancient blood, but to do so is incredibly challenging due to the legendary and even mythical herbs required to do so…'
"Shyama, you grew a lot. Look at how tall you are!" Clark felt his heart well up. He was very happy and he could sense that Shy was worried that he would not accept her changing to such a large size since he would be unable to carry her with him on journeys now. When he spoke, all that worry melted away and she rushed to his arms.
Devi and Crim both made approving sounds since they saw her as their very own little sister.
"Even your older brothers are proud of you too. You managed to tap in to some of your ancient bloodline. Shyama, the Arachne shadow puppeteer. I'm glad you are back and ready to keep exploring. Just get a little more rest while your older brother grows a bit too. He was waiting for you too, you know."
Clark watched the three interact for a bit. He was very glad that he was lucky enough to have such unique and caring partners in this life. But his mind still drifted to his parents in this world. He wished he could show them. He wished he could run home and tell them all about how great his partners were. It could break him all over again.
When Devi nudged him, Clark was sure that he noticed how Clark was feeling. "Yeah. I know it's your turn. Show off a little for everyone. You waited the longest. Devil, show us what you can do." Clark's last sentence was serious.
But they all knew it. He spoke loudly enough for the group to also pick their heads up. They too were waiting for shy, and more so, for Devi to grow. For Clark to grow too.
One more step closer to their goal.
