Chapter 504: Dual Opening

The tents were a major challenge to the group since the winds were harder to handle. However, some of them had an easier time than others. Isa being one person that found it easier. She gladly had her winter witch add some ice to the tent to anchor it in place. The wind barely touched it.

Ralph and Brad took another approach using their beasts heavier weights to hold things down. Otherwise, Grace was glad to help everyone else since her frost finch could stop the winds from buffeting them while she set up the tent. Not that Clark had much trouble. He easily set it up while using a tree as his natural anchor.

This had led Professor Wright to an entire conversation about taking advantage of the natural anchors in a situation like this. She could easily show how using the tree had saved energy while the others had used more energy that could help them constantly resist the storm through the night.

It was a worthwhile lesson that made a lot of sense. The only issue was that the storm had become less brutal as the group had managed to find themselves a better place to be. They had found a rocky area with enough trees to block a lot more wind than before. It was also free of beasts since they had baited and hunted a lot.

For a moment, Clark had expected that the system would not let the quest complete since the storm had not ceased yet. However, it seemed that not having any more storm frogs to hunt was an acceptable reason for the quest to end. It made sense though, Clark wasn't going to separate from the group at all to hunt more.

He knew that in a storm like this he was better off with the added protection of having a group.

'Quest: the one who rules the storm

Requirement: assert dominance within the storm over beasts known for manipulating the storm.

Reward: gotcha tickets depending on the number of storm frogs hunted. Additional rewards for collecting storm frog eggs.'

'The added assistant will gain one hour of dreaming enlightenment.

The dreaming enlightenment benefit will activate while the selected individual is in a dream state. For one hour they will dream of skills they are struggling with and be able to advance their understanding of that skill.'

The benefits that the group would get for helping him hunt was amazing. It was also clearly something that no one would be able to trace back to Clark. Especially since they had all been hyper focusing on skills lately. It only made sense that they would dream about something they had been already thinking about and doing a lot. Many people had dreams about places or things they did often.

'A higher number than expected storm frogs have been hunted. Fourteen storm frog eggs have been found. The calculated reward is being drawn from the eden's end taming space gocha.'

Even though the wind was still loud enough outside, Clark didn't hear a thing. He had no idea that there was a taming space specific gocha that the system could give him. He wondered if the system was full of even more specific rewards and secrets. Unfortunately, discovering anything more was impossible.

The system rarely responded to questions and when it did he was only getting surface level information.

'Ebony tumbleweed seeds- rare

The ebony tumble weed seed grows in to a large black tumbleweed plant that is able to traverse large dry expanses of land. It drops its seeds while it rolls in the wind. It is able to gather shadow energies while doing so.

The ebony tumbleweed is ideal for nesting material for any beast. Shadow type beasts that sleep in it will greatly increase their recovery after using a lot of energy and also assist their healing when injured. The other benefits come with calming energies in general.

Dragon spider lily seed- ultra rare

The dragon spider lily is a mutated lily once kept by a green forest dragon. It slowly absorbed dragon energy and mutated before. It looks like a dragon spider when it flowers causing it to be called the dragon spider lily.

It has a very unique dragon and water type energy which allows it to greatly enhance the condensing of dragon and water energies in an area. Overall, it can cause the higher rate of growth for any area it exists.

It is a toxic material that will most likely kill anything that eats it without dragon energy within them. Only dragons can possibly consume this plant. If they do, it has a beneficial effect of helping them create tougher scales as they grow.

Moonlight pond- mythical

This is a unique and one of a kind pond that reflects the full moon every single night. The water is ideal for any plant to grow along with naturally existing healing skills. If a nearly dead beast is bathed in the water during a full moon, they will be healed. This can only happen once in a lifetime for the beast and the water will dry up for ten years.

The best use of this pond is allowing unique plants to grow in it while slowly siphoning healing waters from the pond. Due to the user gaining this mythical reward, the healing water item will no longer be able to be drawn from any gotcha.'

Only three draws had been completed and Clark was already trying to rationalize how unique this was. The two useful herbs that would grow were great for Shy and for Crim. However, the third item made it seem like the system was giving the sources of other things. The healing water wasn't available but now the source was!

'Hanging soul moss- ultra rare

The hanging soul moss is a unique spiritual plant that grows only on skeletal trees. It will gather spiritual energy and condense small buds called drifting soul moss. These balls of spiritual energy are faux souls which are ideal for ghost type beasts to consume.

Depending on the other energies present, the drifting soul moss balls can contain denser spiritual energy or modified spiritual energy better for consumption. These are a consistent source of food for ghost type beasts that assist them in solidifying their form when they go through a growth spurt, evolution, or mutation.

Dual opening ticket- unique

The dual opening ticket releases the seal on two sections of the true eden's end taming space.'

'The dual opening ticket has been automatically used. The bone meal dessert has been opened. The husk grass fields have been opened. Congratulations. The moonlight pond has been placed within the husk grass fields. The dragon spider lily has been planted within the moonlight pond.

The ebony tumbleweed has been planted in the Bonemeal desert. The hanging soul moss has been planted on the skeletal trees of the skeletal forest.'

A surge of energies radiated through Clark's taming space. Devi instantly shot toward the skeletal forest to discover the many new moss vines growing around every tree branch. The small drifting balls of moss radiated a white soul like aura that he snapped up without wasting a single second. He knew it was great for him.

Shy was the same. The second that she saw the ebony tumbleweed drifting through the large bone meal desert, she used shadow threads to capture it. She pulled it toward her and the skeletal trees she had created a web within as her home.

Naturally, Crim had also dashed in to the husk grass fields. He could smell the dragon spider lily and knew that it was incredibly helpful to his growth. Let alone the husk grass that appeared to absorb all energies around them and gave him the chance to capture back any wasted energies from training or eating. It was amazing and useful in many ways.

The change in energy flow was enough for Clark to understand that these new sections in the eden end taming space were unique. The desert seemed to be a place where his beasts could go to use large skills that would destroy the taming space. There was only a few things that could grow there and they moved so naturally.

The husk gras fields seemed to be there as a training place too. The training of energy control would be perfect. All the energy wasted or that was used was absorbed by the husk grasses and was able to be consumed again. It was the best way to train without needing too much recovery at all.

Not only did all of this make the edens end taming space better for his beasts, but it helped Clark feel a better flow of energy. Ti was like this wasn't a reward of randomness, but that the system had been waiting for him to be strong enough to be able to handle this flow. That it was just a matter of time before Clark was able to grasp all of these spaces and use them to the best of his ability.
