Chapter 495: Harsh Training ahead
Chapter 495: Harsh Training ahead
The moment that Clark saw everyone start to split and relax a little he took the chance to roll his gocha tickets. He wanted to see what his luck would bring. It wasn't just the luck in the moment, after someone had shown up to help them out, Clark felt that his luck was at the higher end today.
'Ten tickets are being used…'
The system showed its wheel spinning yet again. The scene had not been one that Clark had watched for a little while. But his excitement could only grow. Every single time he used this function of the system there was something amazing. Even the healing waters were amazingly useful for the entire group.
It was also easier for him to share with the others and just say he was helping them stay hydrated while training.
'Healing water…
No stale bread…
Healing water…
Light energy crystal…
Spiritual energy crystal…
Scribes quill- uncommon
The scribe's quill is a unique item that is easily made by certain craftsmen. However, they are often common in nature unless they are made of specific materials. This increases their durability along with making the writing they are used for clearer.
But the uncommon nature also comes with the fact that the writing they are used to create will not smudge and dry instantly to better create the intended product.'
Clark stopped on the sixth item and knew that this was going to be given to Ella without a doubt. It would help her in her recording beast plans. Not to mention how practical this was for her alone. Then there was the fact that it was already better than the quill she used now. It was a perfect upgrade.
'Iron ore chunk- common…
One hour of heightened meditation…
Growth potion- ultra rare
The growth potion is something unique to the system since it is not possible to replicate within the world. The will of existence created this potion as one of the rarest rewards for the basic gocha.
It has the ability to increase the rate of energy absorptions, acclimation, meditation, and physical growth for a period of twenty four hours. The harsher the training, the more nutrients needed to handle this growth. It will come with the side effect of needing a full twenty four hours of rest afterward.
Perfect butter knife- rare
This is the perfect butter knife. Made by a retired master blacksmith, this is considered a piece of silverware that kings would use. To have a full set is any commoner's dream. It will never break when being used properly. It will also last for at least a hundred years in poor conditions. Yes, this is for buttering your bread!'
Clark nearly laughed reading the last item. He thought that all the things he received would be basic to some degree. Yet now he was holding some pristine silver butter knife with an ornate golden pattern. There were even a few runes to help it remain clean and in good cognition. Anyone would laugh hysterically seeing this item in any setting.
It wasn't that Clark didn't notice the growth potion and that it was one of the highest possible rewards from this basic gocha. He just couldn't imagine the comparison between the two items. It was like a clear result. Clark's luck had been high and he got a great item. Then without that luck he got a weird item only used for buttering bread.
But this all enhanced his plans. The growth potion was going to be used to make a breakthrough. Since the feelings of mediation in movement had been easier to grasp while he trained himself against the rocky mites, then it made sense that the flow of energy had settled in to his body better.
Even just sitting in a room alone, Clark could better sense the dragon energy that Crim shared with him. It was settled in to his body and felt comfortable. This was the ideal situation to better adjust to the shadow energies and spiritual energies from Shy and Devi. then conquering the odd death energy that Devi had somewhat hooked would be the next step.
The enhanced comprehension that came with this would advance Clark many times over. He could push his body as well. That would make him able to handle more powerful opponents. Just with these thoughts in mind, Clark was able to fall back in to bed and pass out with a good sleep on the way.
"You're awake earlier than the others." Ella managed to find Clark earlier than she expected. She had usually been the only one away before Isa was awake to make a move towards merchant duties.
"I wanted to get up earlier to catch you before I went to train with Purple. I know that everyone will be busy. We are all focusing on training on our own. It's good but since you might be rewriting journals, here is what I found." Clark handed the scribe's quill to Ella. She saw the quality instantly.
"This is made very well. I will put it to good use." She didn't just nod while looking at the quill, but a rare smile showed for a moment. But that was it, Ella had been tempted too much to get back to writing. She had a new quill after all.
"I am heading out to train, I will see you later." Clark headed away without looking back. He had already snagged some breakfast and had the healing waters, a few potions, and some extra items that he might need.
As he made the trip toward Purple's home, his mind rested on his battle styles. He had been using the spear a lot. He had completely neglected the throwing needles. They had the skills to come back to him but using them in general battle had proved to be against his developing style. If he was alone, he might use them more.
But with the entire group beside him, he didn't need to use pinpoint attacks to stun or scare beasts.
This meant that he was fully delving in to the moonlight spear style. However, it wasn't really clicking anymore. As if his body wanted something a little more brutal. Something that didn't quite match the way that it was developing.
When this hit him, Clark stopped outside Purple's home and wondered. Was he starting to grow differently because of the energies? Was the moonlight spar style gentle instead of brutal and vicious? Was this the difference and why he felt that he had not improved much lately? Or was it just his imagination because he wanted to better focus on the moving meditation problems he faced?
"I thought I sensed you. I had a feeling you would come earlier than later." Purple appeared to have been training and caught the feeling that Clark was around.
"I have to train a lot. I am going to do a full day of training. Nonstop. Are you up for it? It will take some potions and foods to keep moving that long." Clark saw that Purple was waiting for an excuse.
"I am prepared." The intensity in Purple's eyes was enough to see that it was just a matter of time before he began pushing himself.
Purple was a physically focused tamer. The unique relationship between him and his purple spirit beast was able to improve his body faster and more than anyone else around him. Therefore, he had to put in harsh training that many would not be able to handle.
"I will start with weights and focus on energy while moving through my spear arts. I have some potions and water here. So feel free to use anything you need." Clark followed Purplem to his large training area. He placed everything he had out in one spot so that Purple could see it.
Naturally, Purple added a few nutrient potions, some food, and the general things that he used for training in an effort to share as well. But when he started equipping himself with weighted vests and arm braces, Clark realized just how strong Purple was.
In the tournament, Clark had perfectly grasped the dangers of Purple. He was tough and had a heavy hit. A physical force that could easily crush Clark's defenses. Hence why Clark heavily relied on Crim's dragon energy and his speed to beat Purple. It was just mentality and intelligence to win that fight. In a purely physical stance, Clark knew he would lose.
"I will attempt to incorporate more spiritual energy in a similar way that you do. I felt that was proper when watching you fight the rocky mites." Purple said only this as he went toward a solid stone training gummy with a few runes on it. It was clear he was somewhat inspired by the way Clark had started to train himself as well.
After a deep breath, Clark grabbed some weighted arm bands as well. He added a few to his legs and drew the black lighting spear out of his spatial ring. His complete focus on his moving meditation before he drank the growth potion fully. Now was the time to get stronger.
