Spirit Taming

Chapter 441: A Stressed Healer

Chapter 441: A Stressed Healer

As soon as Pia stopped her healing methods and her heaven sheep retreated to a taming space, the other healers came over and helped her sit down. The pale and sweaty appearance showed the high degree of focus and energy she had used. There was also evidence that she had gone above and beyond what any of them had expected. The muscles hadn't just been regrown in Leo's arm.

There were multiple signs that she had regrown them to mimic those of his opposite arm making recovery better.

However, Clark was mainly focused on the living thorns. He was watching as they had retracted in to the taming space while taking the last of the energy from the fire and ice crystals. The shriveled heart flower and a pile of shattered crystal was all that remained from this.

Isa had stopped any intervention the moment that the living thorns had calmed and started to consume the energies from the crystals. The winter witch seemed to sense that she wasn't needed and tried to retreat faster to maintain its energy. She still had needed some time to reach a balance with Isa's body since she had a more unique ice type energy than any other ice type beast.

Maria was standing stunned as she witnessed everything. This had been a very large eye opening event for her. She was certainly able to see many things related to healing since she had joined NovaAcademy. She had gone out of the way to strengthen her battle potential, but that did not mean she had not attended some classes about healing. It was only expected that she did so.

It was the same as Clark taking classes about beasts and reading things in the library. Just because they didn't talk about them all the time, didn't mean that they had not filled their free time with such activities.

Now that Maria had witnessed healing of such a high degree, she could fathom a path to learning such things. Many of the healing arts and skills here in the white robed healer groups' training camp would be invaluable to her. They would certainly allow her to learn as well. That was the basis for their deal after all.

The white robed healers wanted to learn more and grow their beasts. The glow sting jellyfish was a common beast for them to use but it was weak. That was why they were seen as a group that was able to give out healing to those of lower strength for free. That was why they had to constantly make people like them through charitable means. The number of higher class healers they had was too low.

Yet, with the addition of this growth method for glow sting jellyfish, they could gain princess jellyfish and potentially the queen jellyfish that could heal many more people at a higher level. It would take the healers able to defend themselves to a better degree as well. That would keep them alive and much more valuable to those that wanted to hire them.

This would also make them invaluable to an army when it came to a city. It would make some things tough since the white robed healers would have to work out unique deals but that was for them to figure out. Not the group to worry about at all. "Clark? What's next?"

Ella's voice had reached a calm and flat tone. She seems to have taken some deep breaths to shake away the stress from anything that might cause her to act out on her emotions any longer. She knew that there was a lot to go over now.

"Well, you can start rewriting these and then write down what I just did when it came to balancing energies and helping that living thorns beast to grow in to, well, I know what it is but I will let you make a theory. After that, we are probably going to have to help with the dungeon or get a group together to help Lit grow again."

The reaction that Ella had was to look at all the journals that the group had filled while she had been distracted. She knew that everyone had been looking carefully and filling things out in their spare time. They had been very open with it. But none of them had shown to what degree that had done this.

There was clearly a lot of information that even seemed detailed beyond what they would normally write. Some small details even spoke to the way the weather was when they noticed something.

The care they took was something that made her respect everyone many times more. They all knew that Ella cared for the process and the theories of beast growth. It was her research and the reason that she was considered a genius. For her, this was the same a breathing. It just had to happen. It was part of her existence.

That was where her strengths were and what she could do to help everyone.

"I will start on this then, when it is time to prepare for anything, I will be prepared." Ella sat down on a nearby chair and table and started to work. Her small smile proved that she was happier than a fish in water. But when Clark looked over a second later, he was the determined expression appearing on Ella's face. She was ready to put her head to the grindstone and get much stronger.

The determination would push them all much further.

"Maria?" Isa was a little concerned with Maria since she was still staring at Leo's arm.

"I'm fine, I just feel very behind. Pia, can I start learning about the human body more?" Maria seemed to be in a haze of her own thoughts.

While Pia was tired from this process, she was a veteran healer and could power through such weakness. "It is available to everyone here in this camp. But there are important matters to handle first. I already know of that third floor you found. It was supposed to be a rumor since that is where the iridescent sharks live. Did you think that I would not know they once existed?

No, it was sealed many years ago to make this place stronger. But it should not have been able to maintain life. I did not expect the third floor to ever be unsealed and there to ever be living beasts there."

"I thought you would have known something. We managed to find it while looking for bright blue bells. Many herbs seem to have grown through the cracks to get there. The third floor has mutated glowing cannibal jellyfish, iridescent sharks, great iridescent sharks, and spirit poison glow worms that have poison that can cause spiritual energy to bleed from any creature's body.

All around, they will be interesting to learn from and interesting for you to handle." Clark was sure that all the beasts had some boon with them. Especially for the healers.

"We do not have plans for that just yet." Pia was clearly slightly annoyed by Clark's casual conversation, but she was very glad that they had information to share readily.

"Then we can just go to reinforce a gate or something for you. Now your healers will have a reason to learn some battle techniques, right? It should speed up their growth in to battle healers like you want." Clark hit home with this a little harder than he meant. But this was exactly what the white robe healers wanted.

They wanted to be able to step aside from just healers. They wanted to be able to send healers together or separately that could defend themselves. That would allow them to travel more without any guards. Saving money for them, adding value to their healers, and generally making them live longer lives meant a lot more.

"That is correct." Pia felt that this should have all been somewhat expected. She had been in charge of this camp for a long time and nothing radical had happened like this. If she followed how the group they invited caused waves in Nebula City and even started rumors around Star and Nova cities, then she should have expected change to come with them.

"Help reinforce those barricades. I will call all available healers to witness a beast growth unlike any other within the day. I will also ask you to show the growth of a regular energy saturated glow sting jellyfish in to your three different forms." Pia was sure that she would get a lot out of this group. She had already tossed aside any ideas that they were not what they said they were.

She had actually started to believe that there was some god of mischief and luck following them around.

What was even funnier if anyone thought about it, was that Professor Wright was there all along. She had been keeping her distance from the group since the entire area was safe. She had heard every single thing that had happened and was letting it all take a natural course. This alone would have driven Pia to another level of exasperated.
