Chapter 442: Carving Crystals

Having things calm down made Clark breathe a little easier. Maria made a point to stay near Ella since she wanted to witness the recording and what Ella thought. But she also saw the chance to learn from the many different tools and books the healers used. She could also record what she needed in to her own personal healing journals. The two would be able to work together in a way.

On the other side of things, Isa was focused on the fact that the others were in the dungeon now. She decided that it was her duty to check things out and see how they were all doing. Especially since she could tell that Clark was going to start working on something else.

It wasn't that Clark had openly said it, but she could just feel it. Clark had seemed like he was preparing for something big and he had an air about him that more than said that. It also just came to her mind since she saw Clark's focus on her flame sprite. She clearly understood that Clark was looking to take everyone, not just Maria's beasts, to the next level.

That also brought a lot more to think about.

While Clark took his time to find a place alone, he managed to find the system already working.

One healing water

Two small light elemental energy crystals- uncommon

It contains a smaller amount of light type energy. These are a rare variety of elemental energy crystals but not as rare as the medium size or large sized crystals.

The cleansing pellet is perfect for cleansing the poisons or the parasites from water. They can be used in a container for up to three days until it is fully dissolved. It is considered uncommon because many people prefer not to pay the expensive price for this and will choose to boil water for free.

One Thick blanket- uncommon

This blanket is made for sleeping in colder temperatures. It is larger enough to wrap at least three people making it ideal for camping.

One Large cooking pot- common

Just a cooking pot that can be used to cook large amounts of soup on a fire.

One High quality cooking knife- rare

This is a very well made cooking knife. It is made to be used to cut many different things. It is not a specialized tool but an all around knife. It has a very durable blade which is also very sharp. It is considered one of the best camping knives for a young group to have and can be used for years without sharpening or upkeep other than proper cleaning.

One Apple- common

A fresh apple that can be eaten.

Two never stale bread- rare

The rare quality that this bread has is the somewhat magical ability to never go stale. It can still mold if left in a damp environment, but it will never go stale. It can be stored for years and eaten without issues. It is a traveler's best friend when it comes to filling their stomach after a long day of walking.'

While the items were nothing amazing, they were useful. Clark saw that they all had value and was sure that he would use them. He was very happy with the cooking items since they would make things easier in the future as the group traveled. However, he wondered what they would do with the light elemental energy crystals. He would rarely need them. But he couldn't focus on these things.

He had another quest reward to look in to.

'The temporary crystal carving skill is being used, please carve the crystals you desire to use within one hour.'

The flood of information was hard for Clark to grasp. He felt that he was somehow being taught for years how to carve elemental energy crystals and only that. By the time that he had blinked, he noticed that he had already pulled out a carving knife from habits he had never had before this.

With the skills echoing in his mind, Clark partially understood why he would need this skill. He had a sense that he could use it for many things. Especially for enhancing the items they had on hand. There might be armor or weapons that need carved elemental energy crystals as fuel for runes or skills on them. But what he also believed was that they could be used for beast materials.

Specifically, he had Lit in mind. He knew that growing to a queen jellyfish was the main goal that they were pursuing. But what if he could enhance that process and allow the items used to benefit Lit even more? That thought was what took over his hands and full attention.

The spiritual and poison energy crystals appeared in front of him from his spatial ring. He was sure that they would be very useful for anything, but he could make them even more useful right now. The first crustal was firmly held in his hand as if he had been able to find the best places to start carving by instinct.

It was something that would be engraved in muscles over many years of doing something.

This feeling of comfort and skill as Clark cut in to the crystal without damaging it or the energy was intoxicating. He wished that the temporary matter of this skill set could be ignored and that he could keep it forever. This level of skill was beyond that of a master. While he carved, he didn't even have time to think about how he would explain all of this to the group.

Instead, he had to just deal with the odd looks he would get later.

Small curved hooks were made one after another from every spiritual and poison elemental energy crystal that Clark had. He took the care and effort to make them ideal for Lit to absorb physically and energy wise. This put his body on edge since the stamina and focus used to do this were much higher than many would believe. Yet, it was well worth it to see the speed of the growing pile.

He had many of these crystals and had been saving them for Maria to give Lit later. That was also what the other two iridescent heart flowers would go to since they were exceptional spiritual herbs.

Lit had a unique growth plan to become the first queen poison sting jellyfish ever. That alone should speak to the degree of rarity that the materials should be. That was also why the rarity of the energy crystals was changing as Clark carved them. The basic common ones, once carved, reached a rare level. Those larger ones also reached higher to ultra rare.

This was a literal improvement to overall quality.

While Clark was working on this, he had not noticed that the system had been giving him many warnings of the time expiring. The moment that the time for the skill usage was up, the flood of information and flow was instantly gone. It was as if an empty feeling had appeared where the knowledge had been.

A void of knowledge making Clark's next spike with the knife crack the spiritual crystal and shatter it instantly. All he could do was look at it and wonder what had happened before he noticed the system's warning.

"That Was too good…" The mourning tone that Clark had as he looked at the crystal hooks was enough to make anyone wonder what had happened. But it had been enough. He was more than ready to move forward with his plans for the best beast growth for Lit as he possibly could. Especially since there was a myriad of other spiritual and poison type herbs here in the healer's camp.

His struggle to stand made Clark Realize he had sat unmoving for an hour and used a lot more energy than expected,, his mind had been captured by the mastery of a skill he now no longer had. It required him to sit and drink one of the healing waters along with having a snack before he could even move. His body needed the boost before he went to witness the growth of multiple beasts for the healers.

It was going to be an eventful time, the glow sting jellyfish could be changed greatly for the healers. They would witness a princess jellyfish along with other forms. The poison type growth of the glow sting jellyfish was known along with a purely spiritual type growth path. They were regarded as the best ways to specify what they would be used to do in the future.

The poison type could work to create antidotes or medical poisons to numb pains. The spiritual was used to heal rapidly or just generally heal better. But with Clakr's analysis and edits to the growth paths, they could be optimized and put in to their best forms. It just required Clark to have it recorded and shown as proof. The entire event would be major for the white robed healers.
