Spirit Taming

Chapter 380: Team Training In Motion

Chapter 380: Team Training In Motion

"And since your ice wyrm is too weak and not a real dragon yet you can't use its saliva for an antidote." Clark didn't ask this in the sense of a question but instead as a statement.

"That's right." Illia nodded while she said this before she gave a long sigh of disappointment.

"That's why you want to become stronger faster, isn't it?" Maria understood this a lot better. Illia had a different drive. It wasn't that she wanted to become a powerful city lord. It was to help cure her father from a beast's poison sooner or before he died.

"We can take a look when we get to the dungeon we won entry to. I can't say that you were going to make the right choice but you had a good reason. It was a dangerous gamble to make. I will make it for you now." Clark looked at the others and knew that they would be understanding what he had said.

"Going to the toughest monster that controls the beasts in the entire dungeon would be a poor choice. The ice dragon in control is considered one of the most powerful beasts in the north. It is why their dungeon was sealed." Maria knew that there was a failing attempt at trying to get Clark not to risk it.

"Even though my mother was able to make a deal with the ice dragon in the past along with other past city lords, it was impossible recently. We barely managed to get the chance to send people in. I doubt that it will entertain you if you want to ask it for things." Illia had a bad feeling. One that told her that the friends she had just gotten might end up on the receiving end of a dragon's anger.

"I have this from your family vault. It is an eternal ice shard. Impossible to forge with any forging technique because it has changed its form too much. It's the entire essence of cold. Ice type beasts would love this as part of their nest. I doubt that the ice dragon there does not have pieces like this already.

But giving it one might let us take a little something from it that we need." Clark was going to bet everything on this. But that didn't mean that he wouldn't be looking for more while still in the dungeon.

"That doesn't mean you will all make it back! The last time that my mother tried to go she brought ten men and only three returned with her from where the dragon sleeps!" Illia was sure that she would lose them. They were much weaker than the trained soldiers from Nebula.

"You don't realize that the deal was already made as soon as you introduced us to your father. The moment that you decided we were your friends we took that to heart. You're a decent person and not like other city lords who might be too spoiled. Now you are stuck with us and we will be getting it all done.

It's a done deal without a contract needed." Isa shocked her head before she glanced at Ella, Maria, and Clark.

"That is how this works. Isa has already made a verbal contract. We will begin our preparations." Ella had an interest in the material that Clark had just shown but she was still focused on the task at hand.

"Then we all agree. I was originally going to let Grace and Isa use it to get stronger since they have ice type beasts but they can share the young ice phoenix feather. Let's start getting the crystals to the beasts that need them. Isa, you should have gotten more ores delivered for Ralph and metal for Brad and Reese?"

"Who do you think I am?"

"Good, Maria, you need to start setting up preparations for the training plan. Potions need to be at the ready along with whatever else. Make sure that you bring Illia because she is the only one that can order others to get the weights and other training materials we need."

"Perfect, we are starting a full training plan right now!" Maria was already sold on the risks involved with Clark's plans. She also knew that he was saying he would go alone if need be. But she refused to let him even have the chance. She would make sure that they were all together in this.

"Ella, Isa's ice maiden, and Grace's frost finch can all use some energy. But I know that Isa's ice maiden is on the cusp of getting stronger. We will have to make both an ice and a wind area for the frost finch to get stronger and also your living mist to use. It will be a split room.

It's a little tougher to make but possible if we have so many energy crystals." Clark knew it was a challenge but Ella would be up for it.

"I have taken beast growth and breeding classes that have similar techniques. I have to put them in to practice here for the first time. But I am sure that as long as I follow my notes that it will work." Clark didn't doubt this at all. He was off and out of the room with the others following right behind.

Illia was left behind for a moment. If any of them had seen her at the moment, they would have known that they had just shattered her entire idea about what having friends was about. That she was much more touched than they had ever imagined she would be. "Dad, you might be awake sooner than later if I trust them."

The infectious confidence that Illia had felt pushed her to shake away any tears that threatened to fall. It wasn't time to cry but time to help her new friends. Without any more hesitation, Illia called for a few of the attendants in the mansion to begin getting the widest variety of weights and other training equipment along with additional potions.

By the time that Illia caught back up with them, one of the additional training rooms was being filled with wind and ice type crystals. The ice maiden had already taken a corner for itself while the frost finch was flitting about side to side to get energy from both.

The living mist was floating at the top of the wind side of the room while Ella organized the wind and ice type energy crystals in a specific patterns to keep them at odds with one another.

The skill that Ella had was from higher learning. She had been focused on these things for much longer than anyone else. The years she had remained cooped up in a library copying methods and techniques was not wasted. Especially all the time taken within the research building with multiple professors.

"I was just a little behind you." The pace at which Ella was moving with Clark's help was astounding. What Illia was even more shocked about were the crystals that Clark was moving in to his taming space.

"We had to move faster so we started to prepare everything right away. Isa let her ice maiden move the crystals according to my instructions." The idea that the beasts had just followed Ella was even better. Illia could totally understand the level of trust they had in one another if the beasts were willing to follow orders of another tamer so easily. Only very high trust could do that.

"I am almost done with the crystals that I have. The shadow crystals were more than I expected. Shy will be very happy. But there were very few dragon and death crystals. I saw that the death crystals were only shards. I wonder how you appraised them since it's more or less a material thought to be used for undead beasts only.

They are even harder to get since they could cause undead beasts to show up."

This was mostly Clark's mumbling but he knew that Illia might actually answer. Yet, he didn't see that maria was already pulling Illia away and that she had succeeded in dragging the other out as well.

"Clark, Ralph, Brad, and Reese are all going to the forge. If Ralph forges any ingot with his beast he will let Brad and Reese decide if their beasts can use them. The abyssal sword will need spirit crystals so that it can better bond with new metals.

Then the possessed helm is basically just using metal to help it absorb the black iron sword and shield so Brad is more or less stuck meditating if not just working out."

"That's actually perfect. Let's get to it then." Illia felt that she was in a rush hearing this. Things had drastically changed. Not a single movement or person was doing nothing. Every single thing was useful. She could only wonder what level of trust and training they went through to reach this.

She hadn't known that they had all spent many days in the wilderness reaching this level of cooperation.
