Chapter 355: Just Too Cold

"Oh, a low blow, but you understand that my family does this for a good reason? Right? Because we are all talented enough to create a business better than your family's entire worth from the ground up at half the age? Right?" Isa didn't hold black the trash talking was real. It was also getting to her opponent.

"If you are going to try and butt heads with a real opponent, you should remember that we don't wear fancy gloves to pad our hits."

Isa was sure that this would push her opponent even further from rational thought. She wanted to make sure that she would win the mental game before the physical game.

"Oh, you would like to meet him? I have helped him grow very well in the snow fields here, you should start giving up now since you won't be able to compete with your little ice maiden. She's nowhere near what a real ice type beats should be." Isa's opponent opened her taming space releasing the cold gust of wind.

The large paw that came out was coated in a white and blue ice. The large body was easily a head taller than the girl that controlled it. Yet, the deep blue eyes that looked out from the beast's head was enough to make anyone feel colder.

'Blizzard wolf- ultra rare

The blizzard wolf is a very rare mutated snow world. They rarely appear because they prefer to be alone compared to other wolves that form packs. The reason being is that their dense ice energy is even too strong for the snow wolves to handle. This means that they will often kill their own kind unless it is another blizzard world.

This also means it is nearly impossible to find a breeding pair of blizzard wolves further explaining their rarity.

Due to their naturally dense ice energy, they can create strong ice areas that come from breath attacks. The blizzard breath attack is a focused attack with their ice energy from the very core of the wolf. Pairing this with their natural frost coat skill to hide in snow storms, they can sneak up and attack with icy fangs and claws.

This is an opponent that anyone should fear when out in the snowy plains.

There is a chance for it to grow to biome an alpha blizzard elf if it is able to defeat enough ice type opponents and consume their energy. This is the only way for this beast to progress due to its solitary and unique nature. Without the weaker wind affinity that it possesses, it would not be able to create the strong blizzards that it does.

The weakness of all ice type beasts is often the warm temperatures. Using a fire based beast against this blizzard wolf would assist in defeating it. Yet. it is not the best choice because of the powerful ice typing that would cook any flame. The best…'

Clark had read the analysis as soon as the blizzard wolf had shown itself. He was impressed by the high rating and rarity. But he was also very impressed by the fact that the wolf had a natural ice type density in its energy. That meant that it could easily grow stronger and use the powerful skills that it had at its disposal.

Compared to Isa, this blizzard wolf could easily go toe to toe with her multiple beasts. The same could be said for many beats that had shown up at the tournament. They would be suppressed by the powerful ice type energy that could create an entire environment around them.

"Now I see why you have been boasting so much. You have put all your eggs in one basket. But if I am to pay attention a little more, I can tell that even you suffer from the cold. What is that cloak for? What are those boots made for? Can you not hide the runes that keep you warm on them?

Let's see who can last longer in the cold." Isa smirked as the flames sprite and the ice maiden melded with her body.

The heat from her flame sprite fusing with her would allow her to resist the cold internally. The ice maiden would be her external protection. The two beasts had been getting stronger and stronger as time had gone by. Mostly because Clark had instructed Isa to take specific materials that had the best compatibility with them. Therefore, the energy they gained was better for their growth.

"So barbaric. I don't need to fight because my beast is just that good. If you had learned something, your family might be able to do the same. But instead, you get multiple low quality beasts." This insult hit Isa hard. She hated that her beasts would be insulted.

"If you really think that then let's make a bet. One business to another. If you win I will have our best expert tailor make a growth plan for your little mutt here. And if I win, you give me a large condensed wind crystal. That should be of equal price." Isa was grinding her teeth as she felt the energy around her getting colder. The blizzard wolf had been constantly releasing pressure.

"A battle of attrition? Of course I can beast you. If you value your business so highly, then I will be taking that for free. Thank you in advance. Now go crush her!" The blizzard wolf took off with a frosty mist surrounding it. The temperature had already dropped significantly.

The perfect crystal golem showed its body in to the ground causing a large flat spot of crystal to surge up and the blizzard wolf to change directions. It had been enough to allow Isa the chance to create a wave of flames that she sent at the blizzard wolf.

The distaste for fire was clear as it growled toward Isa but changed course again. The hat didn't last long though, there was a single moment of silence before a burst of chilling winds hit Isa. Frost covered her body and slowly melted off before Isa realized that there were snowflakes moving around her and the perfect crystal golem now.

The blizzard wolf had begun to make the entire arena in to a snow plain to make it more comfortable.

The audience was in awe of the movements that Isa had to go through to avoid direct contact with the blizzard wolf. The ever changing crystal wall that the perfect crystal golem could make was a sight to see since it was also such a rare beast. Especially because it was altering its own body to defend its tamer. Yet, this wasn't the only reason they were amazed.

It was also the fact that the flames around Isa were slowly growing more and more to melt and combat the ice that was being thrown at her.

"Hahaha, Isa is a genius. Just watch what she did." Clark started laughing as soon as he realized what Isa's plan was. It made him receive some questioning looks from his teammates, that was until they saw that the flames were taking over all of Isa's body.

The fires were from her combination with the flame spite. The same exact appearance she had when she had melded with just one of her beasts. It was odd though, everyone had seen her fuse with her ice maiden as well, or at least that had been the case.

The blizzard wolf increased its attacks as it forced the flames of the flame spite to become less and less. The cold would only get worse for Isa while her opponent stood far away watching with pride. The daughter of the squall merchant company had trained herself to combat the cold for a long time, which was why she was able to easily resist the cold from her blizzard wolf.

However, when she realized that the cold had become even denser around her even though she had not directed her blizzard wolf to let the cold seep so close to her, it was already too late. The snow maiden had used the snow as a hiding place. The snow created by the very blizzard wolf sent out against her opponent.

When the girl saw the ice maiden in front of her wrapping its arms around her, she could already sense that she had become numb. The blue lips that showed on anyone experiencing hypothermia were just another sign that she had already lost. "Oh no, it looks like your tamer can't even handle a little cold.

Too bad she didn't get a second beast to keep warm." Isa laughed while she heard the panicked shouts of her opponent asking to end the battle. It was that or be frozen solid by the ice maiden's embrace.
