Spirit Taming

Chapter 234: Impatient

Chapter 234: Impatient

The moment the five scriptures touched Alexander's fingers, he was ready to scream. It was too amazing. His newest student had crushed the things that his previous students had done. So much so that he could only call Clark his best student.

"None of this is simple. Not a single word. It appears to be similar to notes about growth. However, there is a lot of truth and a proper growth plan here. I will refine it. When it is time, we can release a detailed growth plan and history.

Not that I will allow anyone to come here. I will potentially sell some eggs when I find them though." Alexander grinned like a devil. He knew that Clark and he would gain a great deal from this knowledge. But it was also how he was able to praise Clark.

"The flowers are your answer. The ancient gargoyle created a new material that only grows here. It's needed so that the gargoyles can get a pure elemental energy in their body. They can take a new step that hasn't been seen before. Instead of forcing energy within them and ruining their body, they will purify it and control it." Clark broke the news that the ancient gargoyle had told him.

It was enough to stop Alexander again.

"Finally, that will allow my partners to grow again. They had been too angry lately. Too frustrated. It has been a long time since they have been happy with their accomplishments." For a beast, not growing was the sign of decline. It made them depressed and want to be done.

"I thought that was the best thing the ancient gargoyle did. It could speak and was in pain before it left this world. But it truly cared for its species." Clark and Alexander both had respect for this.

"Well, I will return her alone another day. For now. It is time for you to return to the academy and rest. I made my trials specifically to test your physique and mental toughness. Now you can consolidate your strength. Train your spearmanship.

Then you will be able to face your companions." This approval finally let Clark relax more than he had. It was like a wave of exhaustion had been held back. Yes, he had rested but he was unable to completely cure his body in that time.

"Passed out on the ground just like Clara did. He may have done more but the two are the same. Train until they drop. I really got lucky in this life." Alexander called out his gargoyles to help him carry Clark out. They were going to return to the academy before Clark even woke up.

Their journey was easy, Alexander fed Clark healing medicines from his personal spatial ring. The gargoyles rejoiced hearing what Clark had discovered. Their impression of him drastically improved because of this. They desired to become stronger as well and tread a path their species had not been able to walk as of yet. Their effort in the trials had been well worth it.

When Clark woke up, he was not surprised to find that he had been bandaged up and was on the healing floor. There were a few students that seemed to be around visiting friends but otherwise, there was not much going on.

From what he could feel, Clark knew that his body was still recovering. However, he could also tell that he had become much stronger in his foundation. His bonds had been strengthened with his beasts while his body was better able to handle the energies they shared with him. It had been a truly worthwhile test.

The fact that Alexander had asked his gargoyles to help was the most major benefit that Clark had gained. The different elemental energies had forced Clark's body to undergo a more drastic change. It would make him tougher overall when facing these kinds of energies in the future. Many people would not take the time to train this way.

What was really getting at Clark though was the fact that he had fallen unconscious yet again. It was becoming too much of a habit when he pushed himself. It really made him annoyed. "Ah, you look much better. Sir Alexander told me to tell you that he had multiple items delivered to your dormitory. You may use as many as you like while he is in seclusion.

Also, your injuries are mostly healed. We had to stop because you required nutrients. Go and have a good meal then sleep some more."

The nurse was gone right after this. She was a busy woman with many people to help. The students always became reckless in their training once the tournament time came around. Even more this year since they would be working in teams. It was rough on the healing staff.

After taking a minute to stretch out his body, Clark felt that he had to get up or he would fall back to sleep. He also had enough food still in his spatial ring that he didn't need to go buy any. He could just eat on his walk back. Although, that proved to be a little tough.

Students seemed to be out and about everywhere. Too many different training groups were going on. The arena area on the academy grounds appeared to be the busiest since many of the fourth year students were there trying to get their techniques perfect before they had to face the other academies in a few days' time.

"Alright, time to focus up!" Clark encouraged himself since he had to remain on task. He had not forgotten that the egg had been waiting for him. That the shadow energy was just waiting to be absorbed and become the power of his new partner.

"What is…" The entire front door was buried in boxes. As much as Clark wanted to get inside the room he had, he couldn't.

"Shadow crystals, spirit crystals, some dragon grasses, lightning crystals, assorted bones…there's so much." Alexander had gone above and beyond what he would have normally done. All the things piled in front of Clark's room were enough for him to boost Devi, Crim, and help hatch his new beast. It was almost too much.

"Ah, whatever, I will store it and work on it later." Clark forced it all in to his spatial ring. He would just start dropping it in to his taming space after he brought the egg out to hatch. That was the best process he could think of.

"First I meditate and get ready to accept the burst of energy." Clark was ready to see what double meditation would be like. How fast he would bond and absorb energy. How great it would be to improve himself faster.
