Chapter 174: Wisp Plans

Chapter 174: Wisp Plans

"Clark, you need to explain to us what you are doing." Maria had gained a lot of confidence in the last weeks. She was not at all afraid to steal away the journals that Clark had started to write in and take over the writing process.

"Well…alright." Clark had nothing to say in argument. Ella couldn't explain because she was still waking herself up. Luckily Isa had thought to find an all important coffee pour over set that they could use with some of the fire rune crystals for a hot drink. Coffee was a highly traded item in every city.

"The wisps succeeded in the fusion theory. They melded themselves together to become high wisps. Not only that, but they are high earth, water, fire, and wind wisps. There is one of each along with the main wisps that Ella has already raised to become a spiritual wisps." Maria was organizing this information in to perfect categories for each wisp.

The spiritual wisp is the easiest. Ella can bring it to a point where it has enough spiritual energy to become a psychic wisp or a soul wisp. Either will make it the best communication and scouting beast she could ever have."

"That's exactly what we will need when we are out in the wilderness. We would be able to split up and still be in constant communication." Isa saw the benefits. They could make a lot more progress.

"The earth wisps can become an earth prince. It is basically a very tough earth spirit. It's like your flame sprite but it has a body made from precious gems. A diamond would act as a vessel to hold its energy while it created a constantly moving earth body. Sort of like a mud golem but with extremely high control of earth."

"The high water wisps could become a few different things but I believe that Ella would be better off with trying to introduce the ancient ice c crystals to make it in to an ancient ice wraith. They can move through the air and create ice everywhere. They also do not have a physical body unless they make one from ice. It's very powerful against beasts without any additional effects to their attacks."

"The high fire wisps is more unique. It can be melded with materials that I might use for Devi's growth. What I am saying is you should fuse it with the body of a strong humanoid beast. Specifically, its skeleton to raise it to become a skeletal flame, then flame general. Undead and fire type beast. Rare and great for close combat.

Also immune to poisons."

Lastly, the wind wisp is the toughest. It can become a lot of dual elemental beasts. However, that would be a waste in my opinion. The best chance I would say to have a completely unique growth plan would be to gather pure wind elemental materials. Have it grow in to a grand wind spirit. That way it can make a body from the wind and hide away in the air as a secret guard."

Maria had written all of this down furiously. She couldn't show that she was stunned by what Clark had just listed off. Some of these growth plans were impossible and no one knew how they would work. Yet, Clark had just rattled them off as if they were simple and easy.

"They are just theories with some small evidence. I know some of these beasts are already in the wild or the dungeons. But they have to come from somewhere other than direct breeding, right? None of these are bred in cities so they have to have come from somewhere. Why not this way? Nature is weird."

The explanation didn't bring anyone else to speak. The only solid thing that had come of this was that Ella was wide awake. She had heard and absorbed all this information. With this she would be able to plan the growth and the battle styles she wanted to use. It would be an amazing person that could rival her once she helped her beasts grow.

"I will take the first steps tonight with the materials I have. The earth prince…I need to find a gem to begin making a living crystal ball, that's the first step correct?" Ella had already worked this section of the high earth wisps growth plan out. It was too simple for her.

"Yes, the water wisp needs to grow to a water sprite, the fire wisp to a blue fire wisps, and the wind wisps to a breeze spirit." This was all Ella needed to get in to motion.

"Now that you have woken Ella up, let's look at these four letters." Isa saw that Ella would be very caught up in what she was doing. The gathering of materials and large chalk boards would be set up within the next few hours.

"This one is from the Star City lord or mayor or whatever his proper title is."

"Lord. he just likes being called mayor because it is a newer term for a lord elected from the strongest in the city." Maria had overheard this at the inn which had broadened her mind a little.

"Ah, well, It is a letter thanking us and wishing us well. It also says that he will be coming to visit the city lord and Nova academy head master here. He hopes to see us again to introduce his son." all of them knew what this meant. The nice thought of sending a letter was also a way for the Star City lord to get his son a beast plan when they visited.

"This one is from Star Academy. It is thanking each of us for coming there. I assume it's for everyone." Isa shook her head. Formalities were important but boring.

"That leaves two more. This one is from… Oh! A merchant that we helped sent us a letter thanking us. That's so sweet!" Maria was very glad to see that the small act of inviting a merchant with their group for safety had rewarded them with a pleasant letter. It showed there were some good and appreciative people out there.

"That leaves this last one." Clark opened the letter that seemed to be the same as any other. However, the paper inside was black. Even turning it over gave Clark no result. "So, it's nothing? Why send it?"

"An insult. It's saying that we don't have a future worth writing about." Isa became dramatically cold. Her tone of voice could have brought even the hottest summer day to chilling levels.

"Then we have an enemy coming for us. Sounds about the usual. We can handle them when we need to." Clark crumpled the blank letter and threw it towards a trash bin. He could care less about the intimidation tactics that fools used.

"I wonder if they know that their letter was a waste of time?" Maria even stood unfeeling after seeing it. To her, this was just the same as any other day. Just another person after her for a dumb reason.

"Alright. Let's get back in to focus. We have a lot of things to do. I need to get myself some shadow crystals and darkness elemental materials. I may have gotten a mysterious beast egg. I have no idea what it is but it has been absorbing dark energy." Clark glanced at everyone.

They had frozen after hearing him speak.

"We are going to hatch Isa's pure crystal golem and help her too. I also did not forget about Maria's Midnight eel. All three of us will work together to hatch our eggs while Ella does what Ella does best." Since Ella was still running around Clark thought that she was not interested in material acquisition.

"I have already gotten myself some materials for contracting and hatching. But you should have told me you received another egg!" There was part of Maria that worried Clark was moving too fast. Three beasts would take a great toll on him to raise well.

"I agree, you should have told us sooner! But I will accept it if you can help me get light and earth crystals to make a formation. I want my little golem to hatch sooner than later. My ice maiden and flame sprite are excited to be older siblings." The two said beasts were pretending not to care even though they constantly glanced at the egg in Isa's arms.

"Sitting in on your planning was well worth it. I have materials you can use. Let me get them. I also want to see a detailed growth plan for every beast within this room right now. Written out, submitted, and kept a secret." Doc would never share the results of others' research. He just had to make sure all four of them properly went about their planning process.

"Understood. We can also publish the plans for the Midnight eel and the pure crystal golem. They can be at low cost but still set us up with credit." Isa was not allowing the money making opportunity to pass them by.

"Sure sure." Doc just went along with it while leaving to get the materials from his lab. Meanwhile, Clark and Maria began to work.
