Spirit Taming

Chapter 175: Double Hatch

Chapter 175: Double Hatch

While Doc was out of the room, both Clark and Maria were preparing the space to properly contract the eggs. Isa was moving things so that they could clean the area. It was an important step for anyone that was going to bond with a beast egg.

"Are you sure that I will have success with this crystal golem? It is very different from my other beasts." The flame sprite and ice maiden were very supportive. They wanted Isa to be safe and the crystal golem would help her do exactly that. However, Isa had some worries. A new beast was a very tough thing to handle. Especially a third beast when she did not have a taming space created yet.

"I know it seems like that. But we know you can handle it. Imagine how much easier it will make opening your taming space too? You will have three beasts with three elemental energies you need to open an elemental taming space.

You mentioned you had a unique family taming space method right?" Since Isa seemed to be opening up more and more to them, Clark thought it an ideal time to ask her about the method she would use.

"I did, it is a tough method to use. If I follow it exactly I will need four main materials as the core. They will be earth, wind, fire, and water related. They will come together to make a core that draws in the same energies making an elemental taming space. But my father said I might be able to do more. I sent him a letter that I had managed to find a way to advance my fusion…"

'So the book I gave you is paying off that much already!? That's great!" The support that Clark was giving brought Isa a lot of courage.

"If you are getting more advanced in your elemental fusion ability, won't that mean your family will want to learn it too? Isn't that good?" Maria didn't worry that Isa's family was like hers. She knew that the Rolly family had great respect for each other under any circumstance.

"They might. If they do though…they will have to pay." Greed flickered in Isa's eyes. She knew that her brothers and father had some extremely valuable materials. If she wanted to go even higher she could attempt to ask her grandfather for something. However, that was a dangerous proposition since her grandfather was the most powerful in the family.

"Looking good. Looking good. A clean surface and enough space to tame both eggs. Now let me see them. I want both of you to use these materials to make them hatch right away. It is rare but as my students, you have every right to them." Doc burst in glad to see that the group was hard at work.

'Time essence- Ultra rare

The time essence is an extremely rare alchemical potion made from a millennial vine. The vines are not only rare but they are extremely hard to store. They go through their lifecycle in a millennium. This means that they need to be found and harvested at the perfect time.

This time essence potion is able to forcefully push an egg to hatch sooner as long as the proper nutrition is present. Only the richest and most powerful in the world can use this material. Even having it is considered an astounding fact.'

"How do you have a time essence potion!?" Clark was stunned seeing the extremely rare potion. He had never expected Doc to pull something like this.

"It's for a rainy day. You could say that I know a certain dungeon that a certain mentor of yours has recently visited." There was an evil glimmer in Doc's eyes. Clark knew he was speaking about Alexander but would not allow any more information without paying a large price. "Now, let me see those two new eggs."

Maria and Isa started to set up the materials they had. Maria had chosen to follow through with more materials that relied on dark crystals. She was also using some materials that Doc had readily handed over. One being the colorless Lily. It was a black flower that swallowed light energy. Perfect for the midnight eel that had some unique dark and light affinities.

Isa had a much more simple way of things. She focused on the light and earth materials. Crystals were the best since the crystal golem already had an affinity for crystals. Even better, she was using the glow stone crystals and perfect crystal that Clark had found. It would radically improve the golem upon hatching and absorbing the materials.

"We are ready?" Clark was slightly scared when Ella popped up behind him. He hadn't noticed that she had told the wisps to relax and leave for the time being. Now she could focus fully on Maria and Isa.

"We are starting." Isa and Maria spoke in unison as they formed the materials in to patterns. The runes they copied were unique to them and their specific energies used. The reactions filled the room.

The egg in Clark's taming space reacted to the dark energy that was spilling around him. This energy was the remainder that was not being used by the midnight eel to hatch. Therefore, the egg took it as its own and began to progress. It was an unexpected boon.

"So you are benefiting too. Good. watch this though." Doc carefully moved and dropped one drop of the time essence on the crystal golem and midnight eel egg. The reactions intensified as the energies were absorbed. The eggs were acting like starved monsters. Insatiable.

Maria and Isa had grown pale since they added more stress on their bodies. Yet, this was what they were willing to experience for strength. They needed these beasts to keep growing and face the world.

This process was much faster than when Clark had tamed Crim's egg. The cracks that formed as more energy converged around the two eggs was spectacular.

Before their eyes, the crystal golem egg shattered and pulled the shell back in to form a gem like core. The borne energy crystals pulled themselves toward it creating a golem the same as what Clark had seen before. It was a pebble golem but in crystal form.

That was until it touched the perfect glow stone crystal. The reaction that happened was even more dramatic. The little crystal golem became denser. A light blue glow causing the room to be brighter while the crystals it had just formed its body became tougher. The core shone with a special light that created lines along its entire body.

'Spiked crystal golem- Ultra rare

The spiked crystal golem is an extremely rare mutation of the little crystal golem. It has gained a unique body shape due to the materials used when absorbing the hatching energy. This change allows it to have a unique skill called crystal recoil. Those that attack it will be damaged by the sharp spiky crystals along its body….'

"Ha! Good job! Good job! I have only seen that in records. Very good. Your spiked crystal golem will be your best defense." Doc was overjoyed before he looked at Maria.

The egg that was falling apart seemed to be developed by shadows and little pinpricks of light. The form within gradually showed itself as a very small snake like eel. The dark skin was pinpricked by white dots that brought light and shadows together. The small needle teeth were also visible as it started to swim in the air.

When Maria had patted it softly on the head it came to the realization that it was not the only beast in the room. Instantly, the midnight eel dove in to the shadows. Only its head hanging out to check for safety.

Clark read through the analysis and found something unusual,

'This small midnight eel is the runt of the litter. The weakest of all born in the clutch. However, that means it gained the last of the energy from its parent upon being birthed. This means it has the purest bloodline passed down through generations. If a runt of the midnight eel species survives and becomes powerful there is the chance for it to become a star swallowing eel.'

This small excerpt from the analysis made Clark take a deep breath. It was a beast that could become a giant. A beast that was able to become larger enough to destroy a city in one bite. Maria had become the luckiest of the lucky out of anyone Clark knew. She had a major new partner in the future.

"The runt of the clutch. Not a bad thing though. The beasts born weak always seem to have more incentive to grow stronger." Doc mused this for a moment before he started to take a few of his own notes. He knew that this could be very good or very bad. Clark just held his tongue and promised himself that he would tell Maria about the new growth plan ideas for the midnight eel later.

Now was the time for Isa and Maria to bind with their new beasts.
