The sound of an invisible wheel turning clicked in to place within Clark's mind. He could tell that things would be very good. He just had a feeling.

This crystal has the essence of shadows. The purest darkness elemental energy within it. It is a rare resource for beasts with darkness and shadow typing. It can help them hatch, grow, and even take steps to unlock certain skills that require this energy.

The dragon essence crystal is an elemental crystal that has been placed within a dragon's nest. It has absorbed a small amount of dragon essence. This makes it ideal for the youngest of the dragon species to absorb the essence for growth.

This is knowledge of forging basics. It allows the host to best learn and use these ways of forging. Many people are born with natural talent. This information can shape the very soul and give such talent to the host. This is one of the rarest gotcha rewards!

The limb regeneration pill is exactly what it is at first glance. A single pull that can help the one that consumes it regrow a severed limb within three hours. It comes at a great deal of pain but at a massive benefit.

"What is this!?" There were question marks all around Clark. He felt that he had entered some mystifying world. He could feel an energy entering his body and shaping his mind. But it was not unpleasant. It just made him curious. It filled him with the desire to learn something new.

All the times that Clark had walked past a blacksmith shop or been within one were recalled. He now felt that he could grasp the same techniques. As if he could create something. As if his hands had always been itching to release the ideas he had for what he might need.

Now if he journeyed to a blacksmith, he would not have to just speak about materials and designs, he could shape them himself after he learned more!

Just as Clark thought he had recovered from the flood of knowledge in to his soul, he saw the words of the system again. "Limb regeneration pill!? How? I haven't ever…" He felt that he was seeing something that he would never see again.

There were many beasts with the skills to make powerful medicines. Not to mention use powerful healing skills. These medicines and healing skills came at a massive price that most people could never dream of affording. Yet, here Clark was with a pill that literally regenerated a limb.

Otherwise, Clark looked at the materials. He was always happy to get more of the healing water. He had a decent stock for him and his team to train. Devi and Crim even received more items to help them train. It was great.

"Now what do I do with this shadow crystal? I have no need for it." Clark wanted to just save it for sale. He knew that he wouldn't want Devi to absorb it since he was trying to move with a unique growth plan. The death energy could unlock many unknown things that put Devi in an even more unique position as a powerful beast.

"Let's use it to test the egg!" Clark had a lot of crystals and crystal shards from what they had bought in the auctions and Star city market. Having them was great for their business, but testing the egg to see what materials it could absorb was better.

The unknown egg appeared from the taming space in to Clark's arms. It was a little larger than he expected after looking at it within the taming space. He could feel the unknown energy within but also a closeness that he was not expecting.

Laying the crystals he had out on the floor in a line, Clark moved slowly with the egg. The water crystals did not show any signs of moving, nor did any of the earth materials Clark had brought out. When he moved over the glowstone crystal shards from the cave, Clark felt a negative reaction in his egg. Therefore, he pulled it away immediately.

"So definitely not light or earth. That's good to know. But if the system has shadow crystals in the gotcha…" Clark moved directly to the shadow crystals. He watched them change color from pitch black to gray in an instant. The egg had consumed the energy so fast that Clark believed it was starved.

"Crim, Devi, your new sibling will be a dark type beast. I have no idea what kind but that's all we have." With a small amount of energy, Clark returned the egg to the taming space along with the goal to gain more dark crystals in the morning.

After cleaning up, sleep came easily to Clark. Small dreams of potential beasts and shadows danced within his mind.

"Clark! CCLLLLLLLAAAARRKK!!!!" The shout that woke him up was very familiar. It made Clark jump from his bed and throw on proper clothes. By the time he opened his door, he found that Maria was standing there a little panicked.

"You are going to be late. We will be late. I had to be up all night but I am still ready. How long have you been gone? When were you going to come to class if I didn't- no wait, let's go." Maria had an iron grip on Clark's arm pulling him to class. She knew that they had to get moving or else they would suffer the consequences.

As soon as the pair burst in to the classroom, the gaze of Professor Wright fell on them. "Finally back in the class you should be in. You three had to leave for another city and missed a decent amount of class time. You are just in time for the big announcement though." Professor Wright was sure that things would be very interesting after today.

Both Maria and Clark sat down, Isa had saved them seats which they were thankful for. "Now, since we are all here we will start early. I mentioned this the other day but all the details have been released. We will begin the class qualification battles to determine the eight spots to fight for the top students in the class.

Those students will be allowed to go to the other academies to battle for the best rewards."

The class was small being the elite class, but they still became filled with talking. This was considered the best experience and chance to get amazon rewards for any student. Just finishing in one of the top spots guaranteed some amazing resources to get one's beast to the top of their level.

"The rewards for the top eight will be access to the elemental dungeon that we have on campus. The elemental dungeon is one of the rare peaceful dungeons with an unknown beast as its ruler.

The very reason being that the city lord and headmasters have refused to allow anyone knowledge of what lives there.

The beasts there can choose a tamer, show off materials, and guide you through the elemental floors. It is a magnificent opportunity to strengthen you before the main tournaments. That does not mean much though, the other students from the other classes will go as well. Each of you will receive six hours there if you become top eight. Good luck."

Professor Wright unrolled a set of names. They were the first round battle arrangements made by the professors of the first year classes. "Follow these and be at the student coliseum at the time listed here. If you are not it will be a loss and permanent disqualification. If you win your three battles you will be seeded accordingly. Your prior grades do play a role in this."

"I will get a top eight spot." Isa was dead set on going to the elemental dungeon. She had a very good reason too as well.

"You have to strengthen your beasts and such right? Then it might be a good time to show you what I brought back from Alexander's training." Clark smirked a little. Since Professor Wright was giving them time to themselves to ask questions and work out how they will handle battles, Clark could give Isa the new egg he had.

"This is a pure crystal golem egg. Light and earth elemental mana perfectly fused. I thought you might be able to use it the best out of everyone." The ice maiden and flame sprite observed the egg closely.

"Clark…how could I take something so rare? No one in my family has a beast like this. It would…" Isa was stunned. She couldn't imagine how jealous her brothers would be. Or how much stronger this would make here.

"Just take it. We are a team doing business together. You will have a solid defense that will keep you safe with this." Maria encouraged Isa and slowly but surely, Isa reached a hand out for the egg. Clark also handed her the glow stone crystals and the larger perfect crystal she needed to help it grow even more. The look on Isa's face was beyond excited.
