Spirit Taming

Chapter 171: Dungeon Rewards

Chapter 171: Dungeon Rewards

"Two days, five hours. That is a good time for the first attempt." Alexander laughed heartily. He had expected that Clark would take a few more hours.

"What!? How was that two days!?" Clark was shocked. He hadn't expected that his time would be that long. It had felt like only a few hours. In his hot and sweaty state, Clark was also a little off so he had a harder time grasping this.

"The time in a dungeon and the time in the real world is not the same. You already know that dungeons are completely different from the world you stand. Why can't the time be different too?" Alexander knew this was a basic piece of information. However, Clark was still young and had not gone over every aspect of the world.

"I had the guards take a break while I waited here. Come and sit down. I want to hear what happened." Alexander had set up a small table with cushions to sit at. He had some food and water there. It would help Clark relax after being in combat.

"For one, you threw us at a beast that could sense an invisible opponent." Clark glared at Alexander while taking a healing water out of his spatial ring and drinking it. He knew it would be the best move to help him improve where he was not after so many battles.

"Not invisible. Golems can often sense most beasts that hide away unless they can also hide their energies. I wanted you to learn a lesson of safety and you clearly did." There was a proud tone to Alexander's words that told Clark it was the plan all along.

"Fine then." Clark took out the materials he had found along with the beast eggs. After that, he recounted the battles and how he had managed to release energy from his taming space. That was the only time that Alexander's calm expression had twitched.

"It is far too early for you to be doing that. The reason you could not would be simple. Your taming space was not prepared for you to take energy from it. Listen to me carefully. Not every single tamer can work on releasing the energy from within their taming space to create a battle domain. It is very rare." Clark leaned forward to what this important information.

It was invaluable to his future.

"Your taming space is unique. It stores the energies and even changes over time. That means you can use that energy, when you do it properly, you influence the world to overlap with your taming space. It is called a domain. Your beasts would be at home when fighting, making them much stronger. However, that is done by those who are much more experienced.

You just released a small amount of energy that fueled your body. It was dangerous but it makes sense if you were hit hard enough to push your instincts in to overdrive."

"I was hit, but I only have some bruising left. The energy seemed to have healed any real damage too. I didn't think it could do that." For the entire time after that battle with the rock golems, Clark had not realized he had lesser injuries than he should.

"It was your energy. The taming space is one with your soul now. How would it harm you? It can only heal and strengthen you. I am sure your physique has increased immensely as well after being tempered by your own energy. I recommend you train a little to figure out what had been altered."

"That material there, a semi crystal golem core. That is very rare. I went in years ago to get a complete crystal golem core to help my beast grow. You entered just early enough to get a half made materials. I know it is very valuable but do not sell it. Make something for you and your team if you can.

It will make you much stronger. There are many dangerous things in this world, and the right materials can get you the best equipment to defend yourselves."

The advice felt to be much deeper than Clark expected from Alexander in this moment. From the way that Alexander spoke, he was expecting things to get worse in the world. Maybe it was just the way Clark felt but the feeling was all he needed to take things more seriously.

"The golem eggs, sell them to the school. Many students will raise them as body guards. They have the money. That perfect crystal golem you just told me about, I recommend you raise it as a guard or someone you trust. It is a very rare beast." Alexander had the same thoughts as Clark which was perfect.

"I intend to do both. I want Isa to raise the crystal golem because of her unique battle style using magic skills at long range mostly. Then the weapon can be made for her or Ella who would be able to use the light and earth attacks." Alexander nodded in approval.

"Then that is that. Let's get out of here. You need to clean up and rest. You will resume your normal classes tomorrow. The inter class battles will be starting to prepare the end of year tournament group. You will be ranked as the top seed for that.

if not I am done with you as a student."

The pressure that Clark felt from this statement was exactly what he knew Alexander wanted. It would push him to refine his battle styles and help him increase his beast's strengths. The added pressure also highlighted that Clark needed to be the best of the best in the academy. If he could not do this, how could he face the entire Mourne family in battle?

It was a short while before Clark was back at his dormitory. He didn't stay with Alexander because it was clear that Alexander had waited for him outside the dungeon for the entirety that Clark was within. Clark also wanted to see what the system had to say about rewards.

'Quest- clear the golem dungeon- completed

Reward- 10 gotcha pulls, 5 healing waters, baby dragon bone.'

The baby dragon bones appeared directly within the taming space. Clark saw them materialize next to Crim who had just found a spot to relax and recover from the battles. The instant that Crim saw them, he punched on them and began consuming them. He would be able to create a better skeletal structure within his body to increase stability and strength.

The healing waters were stored away easily. They were Clark's training recovery items. Perfect to help him get stronger faster than everyone else that needed a much longer recovery time after training.

"Now let's see what we win." Clark didn't even have a question about what the system could give him. He knew that anything he received would be valuable to him. Especially since he needed some materials to improve Devi and Crim's strength. Not to mention materials that he deed to figure out what the mystery beast egg was. That was one of Clark's new main goals.

Another beast that he had to hatch no matter what. The system would not give it to him as a reward if it was not important. Clark could trust in that.
