Chapter 170: Shattering Crystal

The black needles were thrown from across the chamber Clark knew that they would do absolutely no damage to the semi crystal golem, however, they were perfect for drawing its attention to him.

This gave Crim the space he needed to get to the opposite side of the chamber. From there, he was growing and jumped forward to scratch the crystals on the golem's leg. Clark was impressed for a moment because he could see that there was a thin line where Crim's claws had started to dig in to the tough crystals. It was a clear sign that Crim had become much stronger.

The semi crystal golem was enraged seeing that it had two opponents attacking it. The long sweep of its arm was at Crim to smash the one attacking it. This was where Crim showed off the flexibility of the slime body he had. He easily lowered himself to the ground to avoid the attack that would have hit anyone else.

While this went on, Clark attacked the spot that Crim had already attacked with his claws. Since it was a sport closer to the ground, Clark found it easier to attack than trying to go for the shoulder joints.

In a matter of a few seconds, Clark used the crescent moon slash three times. The grating sound of metal on crystal wasn't pleasant but showed signs of working. However, the golem was coming down with a heavy fist.

Seeing the attack coming, Clark used the ghostly steps to dodge. He knew that being hit by the semi crystal golem was much worse than the rock golem. The small crystal spikes on the semi crystal golem's body were exceptionally dangerous. Anyone hit by them would be in serious danger due to the size and shape of the wound left behind even if it was a graze.

Devi was circling looking for the perfect chance to attack. However, the senses that the semi crystal golem had were better than the rock and pebble golems. It felt Devi's presence in every move he made. Clark would have been impressed by the golem since it could sense three opponents and fight them if it wasn't his enemy at the moment.

Seeing this, Clark tried to get in to the same mindset as he had when he faced the rock golems. He wanted to push himself to draw energy from the edens end taming space. However, he attempted to do so and felt that there was a wall blocking him. It was as if he was trying to take something away that should not be touched. "Damn, I might have overused it!" Clark was understandably frustrated.

The black needles appeared in Clark's hands again and he threw them out. This time, one of them was trapped in between the joint in the leg that Crim and Clark had already attacked. It didn't do much but what it did do, was trip the golem up for a second. The perfect man out of time for both Clark and Crim to leap forward.

With the spear piercing in to the scratch that they had made and Crim's Claws swiping viciously, there was a clear reward. The golem's crystal section that made up his leg shattered under the pressure. The domino effect that followed was the semi crystal golem falling over and losing its bearings.

"Devil, do it now!" Devi was already moving without Clark's shout, yet, the shout encouraged him.

With the push, Devi opened his mouth showing the endless darkness within him. The chilling feeling within the room grew as Devi slammed his teeth in to the golem. It would normally have hurt any beast doing this, but not Devi. Instead, there was a flow of energy directly from the golem's core.

Enough to cause the crystals that were full of light to fade as the golem lost its energy. The sudden burst of death energy even further enhanced the draining of energy from the golem. Clark was very impressed to see that Devi had put a lot of effort in to changing the way that he was able to influence the skills he had.

Before their eyes, Crim and Clark watched the golem begin to fall to pieces. Neither were surprised to see the half crystal half rock core that fell to the ground when Devi finally released the bite.

This is a material many people miss the chance to gain. The golem either fails and loses the crystal or they succeed and become a complete crystal golem. This is the best material to use as the base of a weapon that can channel both earth and light elemental energies.

It can be used in tandem with light and earth runes to create a weapon that can use those attacks even if the user does not have said energies. It is a top tier material.'

"Yes! Devi, that was great. You channeled the death energy on to your chilling bite perfectly. Crim, your claws are definitely getting sharper. Keep toughening things up. This material here is the best we have ever found!" Clark was caught up in his joy that he had almost forgotten about the glowstone crystals that the golem had nearly dug from the walls.

Without any gestation, Clark pushed his pear behind the large crystal and used the leverage to force it out. The thud of the crystal was dulled by the dusty floor of the chamber. "Wow…" Clark was not looking at the crystal he wanted to store away but instead what was behind it.

Pure Crystal golem egg- Ultra rare

The pure crystal golem is the rarest golem type when it comes to light elemental energy being infused naturally. They are created when in areas with strong materials that have earth and light mixing. When their egg is formed, a small crystal core is already formed within before an earth core has the chance to grow.

This beast is considered very tough and an ideal defender. It will have a high growth potential with the chance to grow in to multiple forms. One such form is even expected to use light magic while also using earth magic skills. This makes it incredibly valuable and worth taming even at such a high cost to the tamer.

"Look at this! It's amazing. I didn't even know that the golems were naturally forming beasts. That makes sense though. And the crystal golem. How awesome.

I can use this or give it to Isa. she could have another form of protection. I think-" Clark caught himself rambling. The cave had just shuddered. "The dungeon is closing itself because it was cleared. Time to leave!"

Clark, Devi, and Crim gathered what they could before sprinting toward where they had entered. The stairs being the sight of their freedom from the golem dungeon.

The energy in the air had been changing greatly as Clark had defeated the beasts within. Alexander knew that Clark could beat the golems and that it would teach him a valuable lesson. He also knew that some of the materials in this small dungeon could be very valuable. It was an ideal dungeon for Clark at his level.

Alexander was not at all surprised to see Clark burst from the dungeon covered in sweat, his beasts just having returned to the taming space.
